Please don't buy auto insurance from GEICO! I have been driving for many years. I always ask for FULL COVERAGE! A company van hit the back of my parked car until my car was totaled! I called GEICO and I was told that I didn't have coverage for damage to my car if it is damaged while being parked! What GEICO did was charge me for full coverage but they didn't give me collision! This is how this happened. I was at home. I heard a loud bang. I looked out the window and I saw a company van that was parked next to my car pulling out of the parking spot next to my car. I immediately ran out the house to look at my car. I saw the damage and I then chased the van down the street yelling "you hit my car". The driver then pulled over and stopped. I immediately started taking pictures of the license plate number, the van, the driver, and my car. He called his boss. I talked to her. She agreed to pay. After she saw how much the estimates were she didn't want to pay. Here is how lowlife GEICO treated me. I gave the license plate number to GEICO and asked them to run the plate. GEICO told me they can't run plates in California. I talked to the police and DMV and they said insurance companies can run plates! I kept calling GEICO. They finally gave me some plate information! I think the company who hit my car paid off GEICO. I finally did get all in information on the van! Another issue. I was paying the premiums for six months. After GEICO did that to me I started paying monthly. The first payment for the new policy GEICO charged me double for two months, then they charged me separately for the other four months. I was paid up to September. In August GEICO told me I had to pay for August. I told GEICO that I paid for August. GEICO said they want September's money in August. I have been a customer of Geico Insurance for over 15 years with no Collision claims. My premiums are auto deducted, so no break in service. I would consider THAT being a loyal customer. I was recently rear ended by another Geico Policy holder. The police report indicates no fault to me for the incident. My Geico representative stated multiple times that I was not at fault. I have been communicating with Geico for over 2 months in an attempt to get my car repaired without cost to me, as it was not my fault. I was led to believe that all was settled. I proceeded to have my car repaired at our Collision center and went to pick up my car, only to find out that I had to pay a $500 deductible. After reaching out to my Geico representative I was told that the at fault driver's Geico representative indicated that they were not accepting fault and I would have to pay the $500 deductible. I am confused, Is there a new law in the Insurance industry that if you do not want to claim fault you do not have to. The man who rear ended me and did in excess of $3000 worth of damage to my car seems to have all the rights. Now I get to wait and see how much my premium will increase, since these repairs are being paid off of my policy.. People, please do your research and stop this insanity. Actually, I gave Geico 1 star but, in all honesty, they don't deserve any stars! I have been with this despicable company for over 20 years. Someone hit me from behind on May 9, 2021 and I still have not been properly compensated. They will not return calls, have told me that I need to prove that the person that hit me from behind was lying (after I called her a liar). The burden of proof does not lie with me. I have medical bills (btw). I signed and returned the HIPPA form and I still have not been compensated. These people are very unprofessional. Can't imagine how, after 20+ years of paying premiums, they find it hard to honor my claim! Very ignorant group of agents. What kind of "professional" calls a prospective customer's cell phone, doesn't get an answer, and then immediately calls back? It is business hours and I am at work, please leave me alone. Do not use Geico I was rear ended I called 21 times on hold 20-30 minutes each time finally get someone to answer Geico adjuster talked to the other guy without talking to me took his word for it put me down as at fault. The folks here at Geico DO IT RIGHT! Been with them four years and for anything we've had to contact them about they've always been exceptional in every way, but today was extraordinary. I recently had extensive HAIL damage to one of my vehicles during an intense storm that hit here in the Richardson Texas area around 10:30 PM on March 23, 2016. Made an appointment to have their team assess the damage to it. I was totally impressed with how professional, efficient and quick they were with helping me from inside a huge warehouse like building with folks in their cars having damage assessments done. Since the March 23 hail storm they've been processing an average of 2,000 damaged vehicles PER DAY (to this date of April 3) from there. Each one of the many Geico employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and had a servant's attitude that was genuine. Super great job Geico! You guys rock!!! read more

This local Plano office often transfers me to the general number to answer detailed questions. That is the only way I can get good service.This local office gave me incorrect information by telling me my claim will not be covered when the policy clearly said different- not much of an agent! . I had to speak with the actual home owners insurance whom this agency wrote the policy with to get it paid. And yes it was a claim doing the freeze storm! Very disappointed and found it hard to believe that they represented themselves as licensed agent yet did not understand the policy very well! I had a great experience with Geico. I went on their website just to get a quote. Ended up to finding a rate that was over $40 cheaper than my current policy. I didn't have the opportunity to initiate the policy. A really nice gentleman from the Plano office today called me to go over the policy ended up saving over $50 per month winning. This all started when Geico renewed my auto policy, I ask why it was higher & they said because they put my last payment from my old policy on there because it was late. I said why didn't you just notify me that it was late, they didn't know the answer. Fast forward, may 14 they tell me I owe the 196.00 late & 212.00 renewal. Wait, my payments are due on the 14, so I will pay the 196.00 then the new payment in 1 week since I had no idea about the extra payment. So, I stayed on the phone with the guy about 30 mind payed the 196.00 set up auto AGAIN, the he said hang on, put me on hold came back & said I can set you up to pay 424.00 on June 19 if that is better for you, so I said yes that works. So everything is good, the I got a text message saying I need to pay 1265.00 immediately, WHAT, so I called this is now the 31, the lady said I'm so sorry it looks like his plan didn't get set up, I see it all here but he didn't put it through. Let me see what I can do, again n hold she comes back & tells me ok got it set up but you will need to call us on the 19 to make this payment because it won't go to auto pay, then after that it will do auto pay, ok no problem! So, sitting here yesterday & I got an email that my insurance has been canceled for non-payment! WHAT THE HELL? So, I immediately get on the phone & the girl says let look, she came back on line & said it looks like the manager didn't approve it & canceled me, no phone call, no text, no email!! They all agree that they made the payment plan with me, but there is nothing they can do! They wouldn't give me the managers name or phone # said they didn't have it, wouldn't give me a higher up to talk too, told me the manager was the highest! Now my insurance shows as canceled, and a lapse in my insurance which will cost me more when getting coverage. This is wrong, if someone would have notified me I could have made a payment, it was the agent that come up with the 19 not me & now they are canceling me. This needs to be fixed. Geico is the absolute worst auto insurance provider. I filed a vandalism claim and was treated as if i were the criminal. I was asked to submit phone records, previous pics of my vehicle etc etc. I filed a police report and passed over all pertinent information to Adjuster Kathryn Dunbar and was told to take my vehicle to Service King for inspection. I got inspection and was informed i could now drop my vehicle off for repairs at facility of my choice. I dropped my vehicle off at Sewell Collision and was given a rental and told my vehicle would be complete in 8 days. I was later contacted by Enterprise stating that Geico refused to pay rental bill and cost of repairs. I followed every requestbof Ms. Dunbar and was still treated unfairly. I thought long and hard about what to say here. This may not pertain to this particular office as my dealings have been over the phone. I have been with Geico for over 6 years with no problems till this past weekend. They tried to process my monthly payment the day before it was due. Unfortunately my bank tried to put it through then. The only way I knew this happened is I called Geico to have them temporarily move my payment day to monday. I was layed off work in Jan., couldn't apply for unemployment till Feb. 26th, so you do the math. No money. They said they couldn't stop it, which i know for a fact they can. I told the rep after the 1st try do not auto put it thru again. I was told it would not be. I called my bank and put a stop payment on them and the bank even waved that fee as there was a mess up on both ends. Geico is unwilling to do the same. They tried to put it thru 3 times! My son gave me the money to pay it, which I did on Sun. (it was due then), on the website. They have not tried to put it thru and they're saying the other 2 times are being noted as insufficient funds because it was stopped. They are trying to charge me for 2 bounce charges even tho they were warned to stop the process. I talked to a guy on Wed. I think it was and he said it hadn't been processed yet.Called my bank to make sure they took off the stop just in case it counted on web payments also. I get a cancellation email today and now they say I owe $102!!. All because they tried to collect early. I have never been late with a payment in the over 6 years and they're going to treat me this way, especially since I'm down on my luck right now. Everyone else I deal with is working with me. They don't try to stop the process because then they get more money with the bounce charges. Personally I think that sucks. I told them I would go ahead and pay the 1st one, but when I saw they stuck a 2nd one on there I was livid. So the moral here is always check you're auto withdraws as some unscrupulous companies will try to put it through early to get their work done and over. I am currently searching for an insurance company that can give a price about what I was paying with them. Unless management wants to call me and discuss a comprise. I got a car accident last Aug 27. I were making my left turn, and I had my green arrow when I started my left turn. At that time, all the cars in the opposite direction were completely stoping for red light. Because a red truck next to me about to collapse my lane, he was turning left at the same time with me, I were in need to slow down and let him go. 80/120 feet, 5 seconds after I started my left turn, the witness in middle lane was started going very fast. And a girl next to her, in right lane "couldn't see me", I got hit by the girl in right lane. The witness said, when they started going, they had green light. And when I ran on red light. I talked to examinor and her supervisor, they always said that because the witness said that I ran on red light, so I'm at fault. Even when I proved them the fact that the witness was 15 feet away from her stop white line. How can she have green light, go 15 feet for 5 second and then say that she had to slam on her brake to avoid coliding with me? "But based on witness statement, we will not change our decision", they said that. And then I received their officallay letter, they wrote this in their letter: "Our investigation reveals that your vehicle ran the red light colliding with our insured's vehicle as our insured was making a left turn in the intersection controlled by a green arrow. We understand that your description of this accident may be different from our conclusion but we believe we have made the best decision with all the facts obtained. Therefore, based on the information we have obtained, we do not believe our insured is legally liable for your damages. For this reason, we are unable to make any payments to you" I called the manager after reading that letter 20 times, I told him, I don't understand what are they saying, what is your decision. He read the letter 2 times for me, and explain I ran red light and hit the car which was making a left turn. I told him: "I were the only person who was making a left turn in that intersection controlled by a green arrow, no one else was making a left turn" He said: "But the witness said you ran red light. And okay, no one else was making a left turn, so we will send you a correct letter which will say that: I ran red light and coliding with their insured's vehicle" But I did not run red light. And I did not hit anybody, I got hit. And you already describe my case, with all the facts and send me an offical letter. For the last 10 days, they kept saying that I ran red light. And now they wrote black and white in words, on paper, that I were making a left turn in the intersection controlled by green arrow. What's going on? So offical letter is just a piece of paper that Geico don't care? Oh, so they can give me a paper said that: You hit the person who was making a left turn in the intersection controlled by green arrow. And then say, I don't know where does that person who was making a left turn in the intersection controlled by green arrow come from. But that person can not be you. And because we will not pay any money for your car so we will fix that letter and send you another one. Great! They send the truth to wrong person, and want to do imagination the case, so Geico will not need to pay anybody. Great job Geico, you will get a lot of money from people. read more
