New to the area & remodeling an old Nevada City house, I've been seeking recommendations for contractors last year +. A neighbor suggested Wildwood, but I didn't follow up. Jermaine & assistant came to install per amazon install date; they made call to wait until other work in build was done. I thought for sure I'd be charged for that visit plus rescheduled install. Nope. No additional charge. I've had 2 more projects. Jermaine is great, responds very promptly, figures out how to did unusual plumbing work & value for service very reasonable. I've even asked him for recommendations other contractors with his high work ethic.

So I called them up pronto, and got a hold of someone on their staff. I could tell by the tone in his voice that he was obviously a plumber busy on a job or something, you just could tell... He was kinda short with me, but no biggie. I get it. I told him my deal, that I needed help installing a sink. He said he could help me out & that after he finished with is current job, he'd call me back to discuss the details and to set something up later that day. Well my yelp friends, its been 3 days since he said he'd call me back, and its... crickets around here. Not a phone call, telegram, nothing. Now don't get me wrong, i realize i live in a small town, and things are done a bit differently around here. Im not dealing with some major corporation with a fancy QA team making sure things were up to par. But not hearing back from a company for 3 days? That's just unacceptable in my book. It tells me 1) they either have too much business for us "little folks" or 2) they simply just don't care enough and are resting on their 5-star laurels. This is my first review posted to yelp. And my hope is that it will serve my fellow Nevada County residents well. Wildwood Plumbing & Drain Service does not deserve their 5-star rating on yelp. Their customer service is meh at best. And when I say "meh" i mean, crapsville USA. I mean, c'mon. My wife hopes they just lost my number. She still believes in them. *Edit - My wife read this review and claims misrepresentation. She doesn't believe in them after all

Just had a great experience with a business and want to share…read more We had the misfortune of having our leach line fail. This happened on a Sat. Of course we didn't know it was our leach line at the time. Ended up calling John's Rooter mid morning. He said he couldn't be here until around 5 P.M. We were just glad he could come that day. He got here when he said and told us he thought it was our leach line and not our septic. These are not words you want to hear. I mean, we are thinking $30,000 at a minimum and he agrees that is about where a NEW leach line starts, but he thinks he can clean it. I've never heard of that, but if he can we'll save around $20,000. And that is just what he did. He got a pumper here on SUN. yes SUN. to pump our septic. He was ready to go to work and it took him just 3 days to finish digging out what he needed and install 3 clean out ports and clean our lines. So just a heads up! Most companies won't tell you the line can be cleaned. It doesn't make them as much $$$$. Our man said that in all the many years he's been in business, he's only had 2 that couldn't be cleaned. It's still expensive, but not near what we thought we were looking at. If you need help, CALL JOHN!!! He's only 7 miles from Sutter. John & his son Jr. are wonderful to work with. But instead he said I will come at 5:30 when I finish my last job. I thought , WOW this guy is awesome!!!! He was here at 5:30 found all the problems and was courteous and thorough. He even had me run my dishwasher to make sure there wasn't a leak there also. I was really angry with the company that did such a horrible job and I expressed it to Paul. He immediately said well they did a great job on your counters but they just weren't Plumbers. So he was professional as well! He is by far the best plumber I have had work for me.
