Plaza bagels, formally Punk Rock bagels is fantastic. Even…read morewhen there's a line, it moves quickly. You can see them making bagels all day right in house. They have mini bagels, flat bagels, and all the fun flavors. Tons of different cream cheese to choose from. They give a good amount without it feeling like a huge glob block. All the staff is nice. Old metal heads. Cool to see old music memorabilia on the walls.. someone must be from New Orleans too because there's a lot of saints and New Orleans stuff. (Hard to find those Zapp chips up here) Cash or card. Parking lot. Full grill. More than you asked for.

I'm a big everything bagel guy (and either with BEC or with just plain untoasted with butter). They always have some fun variations on the typical everything bagel. Love when they have the Asiago Everything available - what a treat! Tons of cheese melted on top and it just goes really well with whatever you pair it with. Been going here now and then for years. Not always the easiest spot to get parking (the lot can fill up for sure) and sometimes there's a wait, but the bagels are always super fresh and delicious. Highly recommended if you're in the Clifton area or coming through and need a bite. Just realize there are no tables or anything, so you may have to bring home or eat in your car!

Absolutely lives up to the hype!…read more The pastrami is insanely tender like melt in your mouth kind of good. The sandwich is definitely messy, but that's how you know it's done right when its packed and stacked with meat! Even with a line out the door, the guys behind the counter cutting the meat are friendly and keep things moving. They even hand out samples while you wait, which makes the whole experience feel welcoming (and honestly makes the wait easier).

Update: I've finally tried the pastrami. The sandwiches are huge. We got the pastrami cheese…read morefries, and a corned beef reuben. The pastrami is really good and is very tender. The fries are steak fries, which I don't typically love but it worked well as a vehicle for the pastrami. The corned beef is a bit dry. We had some pierogies but these were superrrr oily. We also ordered a matzoh ball soup because I've never had it before. But the second I saw them microwave it in a plastic container, I knew I had made a mistake. It was basically just a matzoh ball in very salty chicken bouillon water. I'm sad that was my first matzoh ball soup experience but am not deterred from finding a real one elsewhere. Based on my previous visit and this one, it seems like you should just stick to a classic pastrami sandwich. It's big enough to share between two people. Next time, I'd like to dine in and eat it fresh. The sandwiches also come with a bunch of pickles, which was nice. Tip #1 - there is a parking lot but because there are so many stores and it's next to Bratek Deli, it's a nightmare. It did also happen to be Good Friday, so maybe that made it worse? I don't remember it being that bad the first time around. Tip #2 - I called ahead to place my order but still had to wait 15 minutes extra after the quoted time. They prioritize walk-in customers, so you might as well just order in store.

Charming cafe with friendly, warm service and delicious food. During a recent road trip, we stopped…read moreby Nick's Sandwich Shop, and it was a wonderful experience and a nice respite from our long drive. We ordered the meatball sandwich, the eggplant parmesan sandwich, and the chicken and rice soup. The sandwiches were incredibly tasty, with an excellent marinara sauce and great mouth feel. The bread also was amazing - I think it may have been an Aversa seeded roll. The sandwiches were huge servings, and we packed half to go. It was a cold, rainy day, so we also craved warm soup. The chicken and rice soup was probably the best I have ever had - it had a golden hue, flavorful and clear broth, and perfectly cooked rice and carrots, with just the right amount of tender white meat chicken. That soup was so delicious that we ordered another serving to go. Nick's strikes us as a family business, where they take great pride in their homemade recipes and treat everyone like family. The guy who took our order, brought our food, and interacted with us was so friendly, genuinely kind, and helpful. We also noticed that he was equally friendly to all customers. This is a terrific sandwich shop. Highly recommend.

The steak was very tender, juicy and the chimi sauce enhanced the flavor. Bread was fresh and toasted. Also got to try the choriopan special ($11.95) which is a sausage with chimichurri sandwich was also solid. I liked the skirt steak sandwich the best, it's not cheap but the ingredients are high quality so it's worth it as a treat. If you're in the area and want fresh, made to order sandwiches, I would recommend Nick's. * Parking on premise * gender neutral restroom
