I was unfortunate to lose the air conditioner in my Truck while traveling through Houston with a 40 foot trailer accompanied by my wife and two small boys. I checked into an RV park near Oak Ridge Car Clinic's location and the were recommended by my neighbor in the park. I am on deadline to travel to Amarillo, and needed my truck fixed ASAP. I called them on a Friday and said I needed to be back on the road Tuesday, could they help. I spoke with the Father who told me to come for a diagnosis. He said I needed a new compressor and belt, they were shot. He said if he could get the parts he could get it done on Monday. He claimed that he spent Friday afternoon and Saturday morning searching for the parts and they simply weren't available in Houston. He said a friend of his that works for Ford told him that in a dire emergency they would come up with the parts to get the job done. I went to Ford on Saturday, and they told me they didn't have a service slot available until Wednesday or Thursday but they would be glad to sell me the parts. They had two in stock. So I bought the parts. I called Oak Ridge Car Clinic Monday morning, and the son answered. Said his Dad was on vacation for a week, he was all alone and had 4 cars in front of me before he could work on my truck. Then he got nasty. He said it was first come first served, and he couldn't promise me anything about getting the job done by my deadline. I asked why his dad told me that he could do it if he could get the parts, and he said, "well he knew he couldn't get the parts." So he was stringing me along and had no intention of taking the job and didn't want to tell me that. I called their competitor, next door, and they said come on over, we'll take care of you. This was a very bad business practice.

Finally got the truck back only for it to break down not even an hour later. We had to call to get it towed back to the shop. The mechanic admittedly didn't tighten the distributor cap, which lead to the timing being messed up. Also, the fuel line was installed twisted and wouldn't allow gas to flow properly. These things were fixed after 2 weeks of the truck sitting at the shop. We've had the truck back about 2 weeks and now the fuel pump went out. The new fuel pump that they just installed!!!! The manager also admitted to one of his mechanics burning up the first distributor, this was his excuse for it taking so long in the first place. $4,000 later and the truck is not running. I would not recommend this place at all!!

Once that 11th day came, we heard every excuse as to why my car wasn't ready. Finally, they told us that they ordered a part for the car, but it wouldn't arrive until the next day. The next day came and the car wasn't ready. The next day came, but their painting machine broke so I'd have to wait an entire week since they don't work weekends and the paint needs time to rest. They were able to paint my car, but it still needed to be aligned. They ended up losing my keys, costing us another week since this happened on a Friday. Finally they were able to operate on my car's alignment, but they still needed to order the headlight. This ended up lasting 4 weeks for something we were told would last 11 days. On top of that, they also took all of the change in the car, a phone charger, and a cap from my trunk. This is the worst place to take your car too, not to mention their work is crappy. The replacement parts they put on are plated over the original parts and grind against them. Horrible service on all fronts!

Having your car towed for any reason is always stressful! Fernando promptly came to the rescue and was able to take my sad-broken-down car clear across to the other side of town, to my repair shop (I think a lot of towing companies would have an attitude about that but Fernando was great). Fernando was professional, very careful with my car, along with excellent communication and follow up. My friend and I were not able to make it to the shop in time before closing. But, Fernando was able to drop of my car and keys with the repair shop, just fine while my friend and I were still stuck and traffic. I was so relieved and grateful Fernando was able to take care of the drop off beautifully! We were in good hands and a load of stress was lifted because of Fernando/CRI Towing! I highly recommend CRI Towing Services.

Sure they may have a lambo always parked outside their establishment, but that's really there to lure you in, thinking the place must be good if they do work on expensive cars. I brought my car here to install a 2-way pager alarm. My initial quote was $440, which is relatively cheaper than taking it to a legitimate shop. I dropped my car off in the morning and they said my car would be complete at 1:00 pm. At 12:30pm I called and asked if my car was ready and they said around 3:00 pm. That's no problem. At 2:30 pm I called again asking if my car was ready, they said 5:00 pm. Ok no worries. I arranged someone to take me there at 5:00 pm, hoping my car would be finished. Turns out they haven't even started working on my car. They started to work on my car after about 30 minutes of waiting. Once it was done, I went to pay. The man behind the counter charged me an additional $40 for "necessary add-ons". I was not happy. I was finally about to get my car out by the time their shop closed. In fact, they were waiting on the technician to finish working on my car before they could close (which made them rush the job). Success, I thought, since my car now had a new distinct chirp when I unlocked and locked my car. I drove back home to Pearland and parked the car over night. I had a lot of issues with my remote start so I decided to take it back the next day since it was already dark. The next morning I inspected their job. There was cut pieces of insulation and bits of wire EVERYWHERE in my car. They did not bother to clean up the mess they have created. Not only that, my 12V port was no longer secured to the dash or even connected. They must have disassembled it taken apart the entire console and forgot to re-attach it. As I started to fix the problem myself, I noticed that they cracked my cup holder. I drove back to the place and waited inside for someone to help me. There were three guys behind the counter eating lunch, not even acknowledging me. I guess lunch time is more important than customer. No respect what so ever. At least they helped me resolve the remote start issue later on. I didn't even bother mentioning the cracked cup holder or 12V port since I didn't want them touching my car again. Overall, I would never recommend anyone to this place. I came here because I was referred by a friend and I wanted an alarm on my car so it won't get vandalized.
