I did miss two appointments to return and have the tint corrected, and I take responsibility for that. However, because of my work schedule and the type of work I do, sometimes my jobs take longer than expected. I cannot simply leave a customer's home in the middle of a job, lose money, or inconvenience my own customers just to make an appointment for work that should have been done correctly in the first place. The owner seems very concerned about being inconvenienced because I missed the appointments, but there doesn't seem to be the same concern about the inconvenience to me. Every return trip requires me to rearrange my schedule, burn gas, lose time, and potentially miss out on income because of a mistake that I didn't make. I paid $150 for the tint. I was later told there was a $50 missed-appointment fee, but that fee was never stated or communicated to me beforehand. Even if I accepted that fee after the fact, two missed appointments would total $100. How does that justify keeping the entire $150 I paid for a job that was poorly done? I was also told that a refund would not be given because time had been cleared out for my appointment. I understand reserving time for a customer, but we are talking about removing tint from two windows, and the tint was already peeling. I do not believe that justifies refusing to refund the entire amount. I've had several vehicles tinted by other shops and have never experienced this level of workmanship or had to repeatedly return to have a tint job corrected. As a business owner myself, if I clearly performed a job poorly, I would not look for a technicality to avoid making it right. If the mistake is mine, I take responsibility for it--even if correcting it costs me money. At this point, I no longer want the work redone. I simply want the cash I paid refunded so I can have the tint removed and completed properly somewhere else. Refusing a refund while focusing on the inconvenience of my missed appointments, but ignoring the time, fuel, lost income, and inconvenience caused to me by the original poor workmanship, does not seem like a fair way to resolve the situation. . The sad part is the work was absolutely horrible as a business owner why would you even do a job that bad and not make it right bad business will put you out of business fast

And on the phone he sounded very dodgy and shaky my gut told me to just go somewhere else. But he assured me he could take good care of me and tint my vehicle. He told me to come by his house and give him the money (UP FRONT) which in itself sounded very sketchy. He stated that he needed the money to buy the film. Which was a complete utter lie. I trusted Greg because he was a old family friend of my aunt. Once I arrived at his house he kept going in circles telling me how hard it would be to tint my car and yadda yadda nonsense. He charged me $280 for what I thought would be the entire car but it turns out the sunroof is a accesory and not included (which he didn't state) he told me he would go buy the film because he "ran out". He said he'd call me that evening to tint my car he never called me back and I had to call/text him multiple times he sent me text messages complaining about how busy he was and something about his tooth. He said he'd come out to my house the next day 9/5/26 and I waited around at my house all day and even removed my stuff inside waiting for him to show. I texted him my address the night before and I waited all day until 6pm and told him to just give me back my money. He told me to give him one more day and I had a hair appt on sunday and din't have time to mess with him again. I called him at 7pm to see if he had my money and he said he could just come and do it on Sunday. 3 hours goes by and he shows up around 9pm and tinted the windows in the dark because he clearly wasn't wanting to give me my money back. He did such a terrible shoddy job, he kept saying how he's gonna take his time because his other job fell thru and acted like my car wasn't a priority. He kept cussing and saying how hard the back window is and I should give him a tip for coming and doing it EVEN after I paid him UPFRONT on 9/7/26 I woke up to go see the work in the daylight and there was bubbles EVERYWHERE and the cuts were AWFUL!! I called him right away and told him how bad it was in the daylight and he told me to come by his house. And he blamed his partner for the cleaning process which had NOTHING to do with the craftsmanship HE did. I do not blame his partner for NOTHING. I asked him for my money back again because it's gonna cost to remove this bad job and he showed me his phone and said he doesn't have the money and I'd have to wait on it so he said he'd come back again when he "finds the time" still after receiving the money all UP- FRONT. I told my family and they said that to just see if he'll refund it cause they don't want me to keep using there garage again and again. He said he'd give me back my $280 on 9/7/26 and he said he'd call me to meet up and he blocked me. His phone went straight to voicemail. I wouldn't recomend this tinter at all! He's the shadiest worst "business" owner I've seen and is VERY rough on the customers vehicles. He must've slammed my trunk hard at least 5 times! Stay away from Greg Hauk's window tinting. Will be filing a small claims on 9/8/26 along a complaint with the BBB.

I went in looking for whatever level of polish I could get within a roughly $500 budget, and Rod ended up delivering essentially a three-stage correction within that budget. The quality of the work, service, and value were all excellent, and we were genuinely thrilled with how the car turned out. We had just purchased the vehicle CPO with about 30,000 miles on it. We bought it Wednesday afternoon in Virginia and drove it home by Thursday night. By Friday morning, some dried mud was unfortunately wiped off the paint, leaving several additional scratches on top of some clear-coat scratches and deeper marks that were already there. Vik Black is a beautiful metallic black, but it shows almost everything. We dropped the car off with Rod Monday morning. Our goal was not showroom perfect. We just wanted the paint to look significantly better without spending well over $1,000. Rod initially discussed around a two-step polish for roughly $450, but what we ultimately received was essentially a three-stage correction for $500. Comparable quotes I had seen for that level of work were well north of $1,000. The car was washed, decontaminated and clay barred, polished, then worked again with a heavier compound and wool pad in areas with deeper defects, followed by a final polish and wax. The result was fantastic. The car is not absolutely perfect under every light, but it is also a 30,000-mile CPO vehicle with some deeper scratches. For what we asked for and what we paid, the improvement was excellent. More importantly, this was a car we had literally just brought home, and after the correction it finally felt like the new-to-us vehicle we had been excited about buying in the first place. The service was just as good. I have increasingly felt that with most businesses you can pick two of three: great quality, great service, or a great price. Rod somehow managed all three. Rod originally expected the job to take one day. Around midday Monday, he called and left me a voicemail asking whether he could keep the car until the following morning because it could benefit from some additional work. I was in a meeting and could not respond right away. When he had not heard back from me within about an hour, he decided to honor the turnaround he had originally promised and worked double time to finish the additional work. The car was ready that same Monday evening. When we picked it up, Rod and his team were clearly proud of the work and excited to show us the result. That meant a lot. You can tell when someone genuinely cares about the work they are putting their name on, and that was absolutely the feeling we got. They were transparent, stayed within budget, and did more than I expected without trying to upsell me into something I did not want. I am actually pretty critical when it comes to paying a lot for detailing services, so I do not give this kind of recommendation lightly. In this case, I felt like every dollar was well spent. Rod and his team gave us exactly what we were hoping for, and then some. I would absolutely trust Darring's Detail with our vehicles again. Thank you to Rod and the entire team for making our new-to-us GV70 look like something we could be excited about all over again.

I cannot say enough about Rod and the whole crew. we took our 2026 model Y to have Darrings detail apply PPF to it although they were extremely busy he actually took us in on a Sunday when they were closed treated us like royalty and identified a dent that we completely missed when we took delivery. We notified Tesla and believe it or not, they showed the dent in their pre-delivery photos that they took of the car so after much running around and talking to people, Tesla finally is taken care of it. So they said let's die front two windows with ceramic. I advised that I needed 20 tint to match back glass and wanted 59 tint in front windshield. When I picked up the car they put on 25 tint and 60 which I didn't ask for so the bait and switch. The manager promised me that they would redo all windows 6 and back windows at the 20 tint with no charge. I agree and brought my car back on Thursday and the desk was off. They didn't hero their eord with the guy who dies the tint saying the manager didn't know how this eirks. They they go inside to talk and then come back to say we can't do this after I was promised.
