I got my hair washed (shout out to the girl with the dark hair who washes, she was so sweet and amazing at scrubbing!) After i washed, the stylist just started putting something in my hair and didn't even explain what it was until after it was all in and the cap was on. It was a "filler" to "get rid of some of the blonde" she says. I'm not a hair stylist so i didn't know what this meant but i do know that if you go ash you would have to be lighter not darker so i was confused why we were getting rid of the blonde. Nevertheless i trusted my hair stylist who does this for a living. I mean after all i did show her the photos for inspo again right? So she knows what color we are going for right? I was my hair again and it's just brown. A flat brown color similar to my natural hair color. I'm confused again but then she mixes some bowls that look a bit lighter and starts putting it in so i'm like ok cool that must be the lighter ashy color. She puts it in and foils it so i have no idea what it looks like. She doesn't talk or explain anything she's doing or try showing me anything while doing it, she's helping 2 other customers with a hair cut and hair color at the same time as me so i don't even have a chance to ask what it looks like. End of story, i paid $400 for dark brown hair when i showed a photo of ash colored hair. Update: i went back and explained i was unhappy with the outcome. The stylist tried to fix my hair but with it being so dark by that point there was no way she was going to manage to get it the color i wanted. I would've settled for a more ashy tone but again the outcome was terrible. It was a reddish brown color because she used a "clarifying" shampoo to strip my hair. I walked out still unhappy but i didn't want that woman to touch my hair any further. My hair is now extremely dry and still not the color i wanted but i can't do much to it since she did so many different things to it in such a short period of time.

Suzana strongly urged (almost forced) us each to leave $100 deposit so, fine, we did. Unfortunately, we had a death in the family two days prior to our appointment. When we called to cancel because we no longer were going to attend the wedding (as the funeral was now that Saturday), she accused us of being liars , was rude and disrespectful over the phone. She told us that we needed to come in person and to prove that we had a death because so many people are liars. We even offered to use that deposit for another appointment and she said no! We live in Brooklyn and it's an inconvenience to go to Staten Island just to show her "proof." My mother-in-law, who lives near the salon, went to speak to her on our behalf and please reconsider and Suzana was rude and brushed her off and said "I don't give back deposits" unless we came there ourselves and proved we haven't done our hair and makeup elsewhere. So of course we drove there and showed her the obituary and she simply said "I don't care, I don't care" and threw the money onto the counter and walked away . She is rude and disrespectful!!! AVOID THIS PLACE , PLUS ITS OVERPRICED AND SHE LIES ABOUT HER PRICES!
