I wasn't sure to expect when I saw that Ilyse's office was located in a typical, anonymous suburban office complex, where I normally expect to find accountants, lawyers, and consultants. Her space is soothing and relaxing, and I felt calmer as soon as I entered. I had an hour-long session with Ilyse. I think she's got radar! She was able to find spots that I never realized were tight. And, as a bonus, she added some hot stones to the massage. Boy, did that feel good. I felt like I was floating on air when I left. I'll be honest, the myofascial release therapy was painful for me and I wanted to tap out many times. But Tamara's energy is so soothing I had complete faith in her and made it through. On my good days with pain meds are usually a 5-6 on a scale from 1-10. After my session with Tamara I was at a 1-2, and felt the best I have in years. I didn't realize how careful I've been moving my body to avoid pain, until I didn't need to. The cozy slippers were a nice touch! My massage therapist took the time to ask about my concerns (stiff shoulders and neck) and checked in throughout to make sure the pressure was right. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, dim lighting, peaceful music, and even a heated table. By the end, I sincerely felt so much better. She also showed me a few simple stretches I can do at home, which I really appreciated. Thank you, Laura! I'll definitely be back and am excited to try more of their services.
