The place had a buzz and evidently appealed to a wide section of customers and had strong local support.
The service was warm, attentive and personal. The one toilet was clean, but there were no hand towels and no toilet paper, and no lock on the door.
In the 15 or so minutes I spent there I must have seen 25 customers served. The wide selection of fresh pizza, bought by weight according to how much you want to cut off, and the great selection of fresh pastries were clearly a pull.
All in all the affordability, buzz and sense of good home cooking and baking shone through.
