Serge and his team came in, replaced all of them, and the workmanship was outstanding. Our project involved replacing 13 interior doors (including 3 double door closets), and because our home has non-standard door sizes, it required extensive measuring and planning. Serge took the time to carefully measure everything multiple times and even researched the best sources to find the right doors rather than taking shortcuts. He also replaced a bathroom threshold and completed a few other projects, all with the same attention to detail. Throughout the project, Serge was exceptionally communicative, professional, and reliable. His crew was hardworking, respectful, quiet, and left the house clean at the end of each day. Most importantly, the quality of the workmanship was exceptional. Serge is a true perfectionist, and it shows in every detail. Steve at Mr. Handyman reached out right away and asked me to call him to discuss the details. I called Steve to explain a job I needed done involving an access door from my garage. He explained what he thought would be the best approach and that one of his employees would give me a better idea when he arrived for the quote. Steve explained the pricing, hourly rate, etc. and that his employee would give me a final quote before starting any work. Derek arrived on time for the appointment (I also got a text when he was on his way which was a nice touch). We went through all the details together, he explained what he would do and the estimated cost. I agreed and he got to work. He did an excellent job and the door looks great. I asked about a second project involving our swing set which he thankfully had time to include. Again, he went over all the details and estimates before proceeding. The work quality was again absolutely excellent. Derek cleaned up his work area completely. The final price came in exactly where expected, which I will also say I think is a fair price for the length of time he was here and the quality of the work performed. He asked me about any other needs I had and gave me some documentation regarding the most common jobs his company handles in case I need anything in the future. I hardly know where to begin with this review. This was the worst experience I have ever had when…read morehiring a professional. I emailed through Yelp and we set up a time for a regular cleaning of my 2 bedroom,2 bath, living room/kitchen apartment. Included was supposed to be the living room windows. Jason, the cleaner, arrived 15 minutes late, but began cleaning soon after. First the kitchen: he mopped the floor with what must have been a dirty rag because after the house was cleaned we found what looked like a shredded black cloth and hundreds of tiny threads all over the apartment. The kitchen sink was never cleaned at all. All of the surfaces must have been cleaned with the same product because it left a streaky oily mess on top of the counters, from the counters to the glass topped coffee table to the piano. All different surfaces, the same oily mess. The wood floor was gritty and when I rubbed a paper towel on the floor in a few places it was nowhere near clean. Impossible to walk on in bare feet. The toilets were half way clean, but certainly not professionally. The countertops oily and the showers and tub were never touched. Not at all! They were dry as a bone. The mirrors were never touched. Less than half of the windows we contracted for were cleaned. In emails back and forth later, the cleaner said a table was in the way and couldn't get to the windows. One dining chair would have needed to be moved in order to get to the windows. He said there were things on the table and he couldn't clean the windows. The vacuum was a wet/dry shop vac.! Jason left at 11:30, less than 3 hours. For this we were expected to pay $310! Very expensive. Jason told us the fee was $370. When he returned to the office, he was told it was $310. We were informed by the owner that we get back $60. She was unable to send a check or drop off the cash. I told her I would come to her but she never told me the place or time. Extremely disappointing. We were never offered a refund, but were told the cleaner could come back and finish, but it would cost us more. I've never written such a bad review. I don't enjoy it, but I am very angry now. I have copies of the correspondence sent back and forth if anyone would like a copy. Wish I could rate this place no stars at all.
