I had been told that it would take a week at most for it to arrive, but alright, no big deal. Later, when I pick up my laptop, it turns out that during the repair process the NEW screen had somehow gotten cracked (a minor crack, but noticeable) due to an employee error. This was freely admitted. Fortunately, they were willing to replace the brand new screen free of charge, I just had to wait another week. Well, it has now been 2 months, and I have not heard back from this place. Overall, I am pretty disappointed, although my initial problem was indeed fixed.

Another time I went to get a pair of Beats Solo3's fixed (over ear headphones) and they warned me before hand that there's a chance that the process would cause them to no longer work after the repair. But they said if that happens, they'll replace them with an equally used pair at no extra cost. Sadly, they didn't work after the repair, and just a few days later they called back and said that the new pair came in and I could go pick it up. The new, used pair they gave me looked great, it was in almost perfect condition. That was at least two years ago and the headphone still work perfectly. Overall, iMechanic is an amazing place, and they repair almost all electronics if I remember correctly. Not just iPhones.

The cloud backup had not recorded anything for the past 5 years so although I was glad I got some of that data, getting the recent data was very important to me. Although I struggled to find the recent data, they were finally able to steer me directly to it. I was SO RELIEVED. They replaced my hard drive with one with lesser capacity but still plenty large. I got all my data back and the new drive, and even though I had to follow up a couple more times to get to the data, the cost was most reasonable. I would recommend Lightning Repair highly. Also, the young men working there were all friendly and knowledgeable.
