Nothing fancy as you can see by the pictures but on point. During the 5 minutes I was there, it was clearly obvious that I was the only non local in the establishment. Eventhough they spelled tomato wrong and only take cash (my double burger with no bun was $3.19), it will be a regular stop over the next 3 years. Quick, easy and satisfying. Worth seeking out.

The food is of adequate portions. I had the chicken and bean soup. I was hungry and it was fine, but it was more of a tomato sauce, bean and onion soup. Perhaps a couple pieces of chicken. Before I even walk in, I know the quality of food I'm going to get and I know I'm going to walk out of the restaurant feeling like my arteries need a few business days to recover. As the name suggests, Burgers & Beer offers delicious burgers and an even better time. I've had so many different sandwiches from Burgers and Beer and I've come up with some favorites. The Fowl Player is an extremely decadent burger that is great if you want to take a few years off your life! It comes with bacon and an egg. The flavors are fantastic, but you definitely feel some kind of way when you have grease and egg yolk and butter running down your arm. Consider it a cheat meal. If you're looking for something exotic, the Gladiator takes Mediterranean flavors and adds it to the burger. It has tzatziki sauce and feta cheese on it. The burgers in general are always cooked well and flavorful. Burgers and Beer sells other things too. The Smokin' Q is a decent BBQ chicken sandwich, but nothing too crazy. They have hot dogs and fish sandwiches, BLTs, peanut butter and jelly, you name it! I also get my sandwich was a side of tater tots. Those can be great, but sometimes they're a bit overdone. You also cannot forget dessert, their brownie sundae will be sure to give you a sugar high. Generally speaking, service is friendly, but food can be slow. On multiple occasions I've had to wait close to an hour. This is also one of the few restaurants in Gibson that is accommodating to all types of dietary restrictions. I come here with my colleagues specifically for their gluten free friendly options, as well as meatless items. I certainly consider Burgers and Beer a staple in town, you certainly can't beat a good juicy burger with your buddies!

Review Date: June 6th, 2016…read more Aside from beer, they have deliciousness on tap. I think I discovered this place while looking at online lists of unique or delicious places to try. I figured Canton isn't a terribly long drive for me if I made it a day to travel and see other things around Billy's Tap. Guess what. That's exactly what my girlfriend and I did. We made plans to check out the Tap and other places in the area. We rolled up on a quiet afternoon. Canton is a small town so I assume most days are quiet around there. We stopped before entering to take some fun photos with the giant log painted on the wall. Well, I posed for some photos. My shy girlfriend isn't one to draw attention to herself... being shy and all. We headed in and were greeted by an excellent pub. The place had this classiness to it that I didn't expect from a small town. I could see how this place was on a few list of 'must try' places. None of that matters if the food is awful though, so we grabbed a seat and go to ordering. BBQ bacon burgers are our usual menu item to order and we were able to order something along those lines at Billy's Tap. Since we still had some driving and exploring to do, we declined to get too much food and be miserable. Just the bacon burgers and we split some french fries. Our waitress was small-town friendly and made some small talk while we sat there, taking in the scenery. I can't express how amazed I was at how nice this place was. I was also amazed at the sight of our food when it came out. Despite getting an order of french fries to split between us, there was a huge pile of them that could've been a meal of it's own. As for the slab of meat between the patties, that just looked fantastic. I was amazed at the interior. I was amazed at how the food looked. Was I amazed at how it tasted. Heck yes, I was. Each bite of the burger was succulent and full of juices and flavor. Each bite was heaven for this carnivorous man. The bacon had that nice crisp to it that I loved while remaining greasy at the same time. It's how I cook my bacon at home. The meat patty was the same. Juicy but not to the point where it would leave juices running down your chin. This thing was easily a Top 10 if not Top 5 burger for me. The only thing it was missing was the BBQ sauce but that's not going to count against it. Just a personal preference. Again, I could see why this place made it on some lists. This place seems somewhat unassuming on the outside but the second you walk in, you know you are in for a treat. Sadly it's just too far away for me to try again but I am glad to have tried it the one time. I wonder what the delivery cost would be to have one brought to me....

The fish meal included a salad bar and fries. I rarely see a salad bar offered ANYWHERE anymore; it wasn't much, but it was good. The fish and fries were decent... you have the option on walleye, cod, or a mix. The initial serving is 4 pieces of fish. I opted to do the mix (2 of each). Definitely liked the walleye best. The cod was decent, but also a bit more chewy that the walleye. The fish wasn't quite as flaky as I would have liked, so not sure if it was the quality of the filets or how they were cooked. Nonetheless, the meal was good and reasonably priced for an all-you-can-eat. It was a bit out of the way for us, so not sure I would make the longer trip for the fish, but it was definitely worth the try.
