The drinks here are way below average. I frequent the bar here only because it's close and the prices aren't that high. But the bartenders need to step up their game. The best thing are the wings (bone in/breaded). I would have to say that there wings are great. Other than that the service is usually awesome and the places vibe is great. We had to stop a waitress for our drinks and she acted surprised we had no waitress already. Then the wings came out barley warm and the fries were really cold and showed they needed to change the grease more often. We got new hot fries brought out but was only offered a apology and we ate them after the wings were all gone.We were hoping to eat them together.Best thing about the experience was the table was huge and roomy. Large sign over the bar stating "happy hour all day everyday 241 domestic drafts". This only includes the overpriced mini mugs of beer. Everything else is full priced. Went to the new Gator's in the World Golf area and picked up some wings to go. The wings are great and I highly recommend them. However, I recommend they identify which wings are in which basket. We had an order of 50, which was separated into baskets of 10 each, but had to guess on some of the flavors, as we could not determine the exact flavor of the some of the wings. I never got to taste the food or drink. I came to watch the UFC 190 fight, and this establishment was definitely not prepared to host. Me and a friend of mine got there at 10:30pm, and expected a wait, which is fine. However, nobody asked us if we wanted a drink while we wait, checked to see if there's anything they could get us (an appetizer standing up would've been sufficient, or even a bottle beer). We weren't even acknowledged the whole night. It is 12:10am now, and still, nobody has said a thing to us. Will never come to this establishment again. They could've had a return customer or two if they simply acknowledged the people waiting, especially since it's been almost 2 hours. read more

It disappoints me to say this because we need good restaurants in this area and the food here is not bad at all. Problem is the service is terrible. There always seems to be confusion on which server has which tables. Multiple times we have been seated and had to ask for a server after waiting 15 minutes plus without anyone approaching the table. I love this place because of the wings, but the service has been terrible the past few times. The waiters stand/sit looking bored at the front of the restaurant, watching the barely occupied restaurant and still can't get figure out how to properly greet tables. To the management: find a place out of view of the patrons for your wait staff to commiserate and exchange Facebook videos. Or better yet, train them to work while they're on the clock. Come on Gators, no silverware available with our meal !!!!! This place has gone down in the last year. We went in on a Thursday night early. Not crowded. Meals came. We had to ask for silverware. Waitress brings over cheap flimsy plastic silverware wrapped in plastic like we were on a picnic !! Seriously ?? Waitress says, "sorry, we ran out of silverware !" Two bites into the meal the plastic folk broke. How about hiring a dish washer or buying more silverware???!!!! By the way, the food was mediocre compared to 2 years ago. Ate there today and service was bad. Only one other couple in restaurant when we arrived and 4 employees at door. Still, it took longer than it should have to be seated and we didn't feel welcome. Waiter came and took away our menus, as we were given weekday menu instead of weekend. Brought us breakfast menu & it was 11:10. I asked for lunch menu & he replied we could not have lunch menu till 10:30 or 11:00. (Don't know which as he said both) When we told him it was after 11, we finally got correct menu. Avocado was rubbery, corn not "roasted" and took forever to get bill. When we left, there were 2 employees at door chatting & no farewell greeting or acknowledgement. When I called and asked for manager & mentioned we had eaten there today, I was hung up on. Never again. read more

Likely won't return. Details: was seated at 1:50pm Sunday and the place had very few empty tables. Was greeted promptly by waitress, who was friendly. Food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. The bad part, which is why I likely won't return, is that the fries were just barely warm and the pulled pork was so dry that is was more like chewing shredded jerky. Ribs were tasty but I was not able to order them dry, so they were smothered in barbeque sauce (which tasted fine, but it was too much of a good thing). So the ribs were too wet, the pork too dry, and the fries too cold. For $18, I've had better elsewhere. read more

This location was much better when they first opened. Service has always been an issue though. They have one or two great waiters and all the others are terrible. They are more concerned about hanging out, then taking care of customers. The food has also been going downhill. They took a lot of good items off the menu and even the wings aren't that great anymore. This all comes back to management. Bad service and mediocre food. Won't be going back. Next time we are in the mood for wings, we will go to Hurricane Grill! read more

I really feel bad about this review for 2 reasons, 1 I don't like to paint any business in a bad light based on 1 waitress/representative, and 2 I took 5 co-workers with me on my recommendation. The service was slow, and they were not busy at the time. The waitress gave 2 people the wrong drinks ( I know that happens ) but stood there like she expected them to just exchange straws when this was brought to her attention. The final straw ( no relation ) was when we were leaving. A co-worker was walking to the restroom and the waitress was walking the same direction, but a few feet away. She was talking bad about us....( not the 1st woman in my life to do this, however this was uncalled for ) So..I decided to write this poor review. I hope this helps or that management sees this and takes some action. I will continue to go to other locations of Gator's...but would rather eat broken glass washed down with isopropyl alcohol than step foot back in this place. read more

I love that this place has lots of TVs turned to sports all the time, and cold beer. But that's where the love ends. The servers are not well trained or supervised. Thus, the poor service on all 3 trips. The wings are ok, even though it took 45 mins to bring them to the table. The burger was charred on the outside and rare inside. The grilled chicken was good, but fresh steamed vegetables were anything but. The chili was straight from a can, where it deserved to return. Hopefully the owners can turn this place around. But until they do I'm headed back to Hurricanes. read more

Extremely slow service. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before I had to ask who our server was. She finally came over, took our drink order and left. No menus. She came back with 2 out of the 3 drinks. We ordered and waited about 30-40 minutes for our food. Food was ok but nothing special. People all around were sitting waiting for food. read more

I have been going to Gatordockside. I love it,. love the service... I always ask for Micheal. he has such a great personality and always making sure that we are satisfy. Love their wings especially the scooter , grilled and double toss. This is what Julington Creek needed. read more

I signed up for yelp just to leave this review. We have been coming here on and off since it opened. We gave up on lunch and dinner here because of the bad service and food. It should not take a half hour for drinks and then another half hour to bring out the wrong order and completely forget our appetizer. When we found out they had breakfast we decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise. Great food and an awesome server! We became weekend regulars. Somewhere throughout the course of things the food went down hill and then our regular server started getting bounced between the tables and kitchen. Now that he is gone the service has gone completely to crap and the food is even worse. I believe this will be the last time we come here. 15 minutes for drinks. Haven't seen our server since he offered me a refill and never came back with one after 30 minutes. This place is failing because of the management and survives because it's the only sports bar on this side of Julington creek. I suggest avoiding this place if you are in a hurry or want decent food. But if cheap drinks bar food and bad service are your thing then knock yourself out. read more

A sports bar in an area in desperate need. The TVs are great and so is the setup. Been here several times and it is always the same. Food is average and inconsistent; service, other Than the bar, is below average. Expect slow and inexperienced without a strong customer focus. We were so excited when Gators was coming to our area because we like the food. I am sad to say that after going there on five separate occasions and experiencing bad service each time, that we won't return. My husband and I were there this weekend and the server paid no attention to us. We had to get the attention of another server to get our server to come and take our order. Then, it took forever to get our food....as well as tracking down the server for our check. This is just an example of what we have experienced on previous visits. The worst part is that there are some employees standing around doing absolutely nothing! I know we are not the only ones who have given up on them.....I mentioned it to some friends this week and many of them echoed our opinion. I am disappointed, because there are truly no decent places to get wings in our area. They aren't going to make it with this type of poor service. read more

This is the worst restaurant in the area! I was not expecting a 5 star experience, however, this was horrible. We sat for 10 minutes before a server even acknowledged us - even though a server was taking care of the table next to us, she did not address us as we were not her table. By the time our waitress arrived we were thirsty and ready to order. She seemed a little put out by the fact that we wanted to put in our drink and food orders at the same time...whatever. Each table has a little holder that is supposed to be for Ketchup / mustard / salt / pepper. Ours had and empty ketchup container and pepper. We sent our son walking around looking for ketchup and salt. He did locate salt (none of these table top containers were consistent in what they had in them) but could not find a ketchup that had any ketchup in it!!! He did find one with hot sauce??? My husbands burger came with lettuce, tomato and onion...no sauce of any kind. No Mayo, Mustard, Ketchup...and with nothing on the table...he ate a dry hamburger. I wandered around and was finally able to find one Ketchup - we sat outside...there are probably about 12 - 15 tables. Our food was not delivered by our waitress and she NEVER came back to see if we needed anything. We will absolutely never go back here again!!! read more
