I needed new tires on my scooter and didn't really know who offered that service. I called a…read morespecialty scooter shop who told me they could "probably do it but most times they end up taking the scooters to Donelson's for tire balancing". So I cut out the middle person and called Donelson's directly. They let me know they had been crazy busy but would order my tires and once they were in I could drop the scooter off and they would "work it in" to get the tires done. This may seem odd but some other places I called wanted me to drop my scooter off that day and let it sit til they could get to it - could be 4-6 weeks they said. Donelson told me it's prob be a week or so once the tires were in. They ordered the tires, called me and let me know. I dropped the scooter off and they had the replacement done in about 2 days. There was a snafu with the wrong tires being ordered and them needing to put a different set on (my fault as I provided the tire size). Even with that taking place it still only took them 2 days. I had paid in advance for the tires and we had to rework the bill due to the tire swapout, but even that was handled with grace and I paid the difference. They also performed an inspection for me while they had my scooter. Overall nice experience - especially compared to the run around I got from some other places when calling around. Reason I took off 1 star is noone there knows anything outside of their specific dept. So on 1 call they transferred me multiple times - from parts to inquire about the tires, then to service to find out how much service cost, then back to parts because I asked another tire related question, then back to service to talk about the inspection. It'd be nice if they were aware enough of each area to speak to it.

Docs Harley like any group made this decision to put the attainment of money fueled by greed and arrogance ahead of service based on trust. this business plan considers customer satisfaction unnecessary when all you have to do is create the fantasy of figures on a work order and steal, overcharge , and do unauthorized work. they do this with a smile and with eyes wide open. this dealership is the Bernie madoff group of St Louis. Lots of inventory for sale here including Vespa scooters and Ducati motorcycles. Some of it marked "sold" and much of it still available. I had no idea that scooters went for just a couple thousand dollars and some really nice motorcycles for under ten thousand. Interesting! Walls of accessories for sale including helmets, jackets, gloves and all sorts of protective equipment for the safe rider. Logo tshirts such as well. I'm now sorely tempted to add a hitch mount on the back of my RV for a Vespa scooter. [Review 14444 overall, 1770 of 2020, number 78 in Missouri.]
