I was really excited to tour this apartment community, so I scheduled an appointment with Marquis, the leasing agent, for a one-bedroom, one-bath unit on Thursday at 2:30 PM. I arrived at 2:20 PM and found the office closed, but since the sign said they'd be back at 2:30, I waited patiently.
Once the office opened, I checked in for my appointment, but Marquis looked completely confused. She then told me she thought she had canceled all her tours for the day due to an issue with the apartment. However, she admitted that I was the only person she forgot to call back--so I had essentially wasted my time and gas driving there for nothing.
What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of professionalism. Marquis didn't offer me any information about the community, not even a floor plan or brochure. She barely introduced herself and made no effort to provide alternatives, like touring the amenities or discussing future availability. On top of that, she didn't even offer to follow up with me once the apartment was available for viewing. It was just, "I can't help you today."
For a leasing agent, this level of service is unacceptable. If you're managing tours and appointments, at the very least, have the courtesy to follow through, provide information, or offer a way to stay in touch. I drove all the way there and wasn't even given the decency of a proper introduction, a pamphlet, or any details to take home. This experience left a really bad impression, and I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here. read more
