I had the pleasure of working with Shirani yesterday. I didn't even have an appointment, yet she treated me with the same care and attention as someone who did. That made such a great first impression. I had already toured five other apartment communities, and none of them made me feel at home the way this one did. For me, the front office is one of the most important parts of choosing an apartment because they're the people you'll be dealing with whenever something comes up after you move in. At several of the other communities I visited, it honestly felt like the staff didn't even want to give the tour. You could see it on their faces. The energy was off, there was very little conversation, and the tours felt rushed. It just wasn't a welcoming experience. Shirani was the complete opposite. She was warm, patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel relaxed and stress free. She wasn't pushy about the rent at all. Instead, she clearly explained the current pricing, any available specials, when those offers expired, and exactly how the application process worked. I appreciated that she gave me the information I needed without making me feel pressured to make a decision on the spot. The property itself is beautiful, and the apartments are very spacious. They actually feel spacious, unlike so many places advertising "700 square feet" while charging thousands of dollars a month. Because of the experience Shirani provided, this community is now in my top two choices. If you're looking for a stress free tour with a knowledgeable leasing associate, ask for Shirani. I enjoyed the first 6 months of living here but that all changed when numerous teens started breaking into the building. I started to feel unsafe walking the halls and coming home at night by myself. I was constantly on edge. Management told us to call the police anytime groups of teens were loitering in the building because there was nothing they could do about it. I grew to be very uncomfortable living here and it diminished what I loved about the property. I loved my apartment and the property was maintained so well. This development is very expensive for what they actually deliver. During the past two and a half years have dealt with noisy, disrespectful neighbors who ignore no smoking rules with impunity. These same people would get into loud fights with their roommates, double park in front of the building and have parties late into the night after the quiet hours. The front gate and entry doors are frequently broken, this is a safety issue. Groups of teenagers loiter in community hallways, stair wells smoking pot and playing music. These incidents have been reported again and again to the management. These teens do not live in this community. Over and over again were instructed to call the police when these concerning events occurred. That is it. No involvement by the management. Packages have disappeared because they were left on the floor when the entry doors were broken. The quality of life has grown worse with excuses and deflection being offered instead of resolution. There are developments nearby which are less pricey. There is damage in the gym, the unit windows are poor quality, let draft in. TVs in the common areas, new phase, do not work. Cheap carpeting and blinds, noisy appliances which are dated. The best part of living here is the hard working maintenance team. To sum up our experience very disappointing. read more

I moved into Brompton house apartment with my son in 2015. We were tenants for 9 years paying rent. After covid they raised my rent almost twice. TWICE. My rent went from 1500$ a month to 2600$ . By 2024 I was paying 3100$. This place charging for every single thing extra $$$. Management is awful. They keep changing every year. At some point we started to have roaches, I knew they are coming from somewhere else because I didn't have any for 5 years. Manager Scott at that time said they will need to do extermination procedures meaning my apartment was the source. When I refused he threatened me not to sign a lease. Not surprisingly, when tenants below moved out roaches were gone. Not to mention the quality of people living there deteriorated over years. Teenagers smoking pot on staircases, loud parties in club house that they rent on the weekends for events. When finally we moved out of there they send me a final move out bill for another 600$ . Which included- painting and wear and tear on 10 yo refrigerator with threats of collection. After living there for 9 years paying rent on time and being overall a very good tenant I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I don't like to give bad reviews. I always like to provide an opportunity for others to correct their mishandling of a situation and make things right. However, that has not occurred in this situation. As a woman and a mother, it is important for me and my family to feel some form of safety at my residence. I have resided at Brompton House since 2017. Overall, my experience has been somewhat favorable. That all changed on 8/20/2022. While in the fitness center, I was verbally assaulted by a male tenant and their male guest for turning on the light in the center. Yes, you have read that right. I turned on the light in the fitness center to safely use the fitness equipment. As a result, I was verbally assaulted and my physical space was violated. I sought help from the Property Manager, Scott. The handing of the situation by Scott, was poor and disgraceful. He presented as very nonchalant and dismissive. His response showed my safety did not matter and was no concern of his. It also showed that the behavior of the tenant and their guest was acceptable, as there were no consequences to their behavior. Both gentlemen were able to remain in the fitness center with no consequence for their behavior. Poor behavior do not get rectified if there are no consequences for it. Their corporate office was also notified. No response was received for over a week until another representattive was obtained to act on my behalf. When a response was received, it was quite offensive considering what I experienced and the amout of time it took to even get a response. After reading other reviews on this property, I am not surprised on the handling of my incident. I would proceed with caution when thinking of calling Brompton House your home under this current management. Update: During a recent visit to the Leasing Office, the Property Manager, Scott, let me know he read this review. He expressed feeling like he did all that he could at the time. He also stated he was not the Police. His remarks continued to remind me of his nonchalant, dismissive, and uncaring response furthering my trauma. Although he is not the Police, he, as the Property Manager, has the ability to enforce the rules and regulations outlined and posted in the fitness center. He did not. 1. Management: Malia, one of the rep, is outstanding and took care of us at all times. Upper management is slow to respond to complaints/concerns but will make time when money is involved. 2. Structure: Horrible. Thin and hollow walls, so expect to hear your neighbors from left, right, above, and below. Bonus, frequent airplanes flying over and occasional drag racing/burnouts after 10pm. Good luck putting your baby to sleep. 3. Amenities look good, except for children's playground. Cigarette and joint/week buds on ground some days. 4. Environment: Parking is always full after 5pm. Gate community, but non-residents enter. Claims to be "smoke-free" but you'll find smokers at night. In fact, one of the reasons we moved out is because of tenants smoking weed in the stairways. No hate against "green" neighbors, but I paid for a non-smoking community, so I expected that standard to be kept. 5. Price: Competitive compared to nearby apartment complexes. Know 2 friends who live in Dartmoore and Azure- both of which pays similar rent, but far more pleasant living experiences. Conclusion: Take your hard-earned money and invest/commit to other better and safer communities. read more

I would like to think I wasn't racially discriminated against, but I don't know how else to take my encounter with the leasing office. Also, it's interesting how there have been past reviews about discrimination against minorities both on Yelp and on Google for this place- clearly this is a recurring issue. I had scheduled a tour with the leasing office and the morning of my tour, I get a phone call and an email from Malia asking for the appointment to be moved up 30 minutes (from 4:30 pm to 4 pm) as they close at 5 pm. I emailed back saying that is fine. Malia emails back confirming the updated appointment at 11:30 am. Fast forward to 4 pm, I arrive at Brompton house and as soon as we get into the leasing office, Malia confirms my name and then states that she has "an emergency" so she and her partner cannot help us today. I didn't know what to say. Could they have not called me or emailed me about this said emergency just like they had in the morning? Isn't that just basic courtesy? If it actually was an emergency, couldn't her partner have given us the tour instead? Honestly, a simple phone call or email would have sufficed. It was very unprofessional. I can't help but think that she saw my race and decided to change plans last minute. read more

It just keeps getting better and better here at Brompton House multiple times the gates didn't work and would not let us in. Seems to be a reoccurring problem as it's happened again today and they can't figure out how to get the fobs to work the gates to open. It seems like this is a huge security hazard because the garage door on the right side won't even open so that would mean people would be trapped inside. It is not the ladies in the offices problem it is the managements problem because they're doing nothing and oh by the way the landscaping that I mentioned and had work orders put it in months ago still looks the same if not worse read more

The neighbors are good, the neighborhood is maintained very well, maintenance issues are resolved very quickly, it's in a convenient location, and the management are always quick to respond and are friendly. The moment we stepped into the Brompton House community, we knew we found our new home. It was actually the second property we visited while apartment shopping, and we decided not to look anywhere else. The first impression we received - management actually cares. From our initial visit to move-in day, Silas and the leasing office have made it so easy for us. Since we've moved in, we put in a few service requests, and they were addressed right away. They also hold occasional community events, where we have the chance to meet our neighbors. Property - very well kept, and there are occasional doggie doodoos around the community, but management have sent our reminders to keep us accountable (this is more of a tenant issue). There are access gates and doors, which are secured with key fobs. My favorite part is the 24/7 gym they keep open, which is also secured with the fob. The main club house is beautifully decorated and stocked with keurig cups if you need to grab a cup of joe on your way to work. There is also a business room if you need to use a pc or mac (there are 2 of each), along with a printer and conference room. Apartment - our open layout is very spacious, and I love love LOVE our big granite island and countertops. We have ss appliances and large bathrooms with giant mirrors. On the master bedroom side, there is a HUGE walk-in closet with plenty of space. Each unit also comes with a washer/dryer. Did I mention elevators? The prices may seem high, but are actually reasonable compared to the sq ft for each layout. If this was a condo, I would definitely pay my rent amount as my mortgage. Overall, I highly recommend the Brompton House for its community, management, and property. read more

Yesterday, my daughter and I had the pleasure of meeting Malia. She greeted us with the 3 most important qualities of customer service: professionalism, patience, and a "people-first" attitude. You can tell she really loves the property and the community. The property 1 word " gorgeous"! Very modern another key word "free" parking. She made us feel right at home. COVID protocols were in place. Malia displayed a warm and inviting since of humor, extremely knowledgeable about lease / rent agreements and variables as it relates to the property. We are definitely going to keep in touch. Although customer service varies from customer to customer, as long as she continues to following these guidelines, she is on the right track. Trader joe and moms organic is just few minutes of Drive. There is a new CVS opened across the street from the complex. I highly recommend Brompton House for a couple or a family! It has been about a month since I moved into this place. 1. Professional Management - Touring the complex and signing the lease was a breeze. No hidden fees and full refund policies. Can't complain. Once moved, I've noticed that Management/Leasing Office responds to any inquiries via e-mail/phone call fairly quickly. Maintenance requests are fulfilled fairly quickly. Properties are well cleaned and quiet. 2. Superb Apartment Quality - Nicely furnished with modern up-to-date appliances (dryer/washer/oven etc.) and cabinets. 3. Great Neighbors - Haven't met a lot of them, but they seem to respect one another by keeping the overall space clean and being responsible for their 4. Easy Parking - Open parking area within the gate which you will always find spots 5. Valet Trash - Valet Trash 5 days a week and a close dumpster. More reason to be lazy and stay inside of my house. :) 6. Noise - Between the units, the noise being transmitted is very minimal, and haven't heard any neighbors making noise. However, the entrance door is fairly light, and it does transfer sound from the hallway quite a bit. Additionally, it doesn't bother me too much but note that this neighborhood is directly below the BWI landing course. I live on the 4th floor, and I could hear the airplane traveling to land almost every 5-10 mins during weekdays night time for about 30 mins at least. This could potentially bother someone who has trouble sleeping. Overall, it's a lovely apartment, and I encourage everyone who is looking to live in Elkridge or Howard County to consider this neighborhood. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! Ok so my initial review gave this place 5 Star... but let me give you the an honest review. Ok, first of all I have been living in the Brompton for about 9 months and it was ok the staff aren't very personable but they do there job. Now this incident that happened over the weekend. I live here with my husband and two small children (3 years old and 8 months old) and our air conditioner broke down and it's 81 degrees now mind you I live on the top floor and we have an uncovered window that just beams in all the heat from the sun. So it's 85 degrees in my apartment and my little ones are very uncomfortable so I call the emergency maintenance and this woman picks up and tells me they can't do anything until it's 85 degrees outside (are you freaking kidding me)! So I explain to her I live on the top floor so it's going to be much warmer up here then on the lower floors and this woman says "there is nothing we can do" (wow) I try and explain the situation again trying to get her to understand and she still isn't understanding how uncomfortable my family is. She then hangs up on me mid sentence. I am so frustrated right now. This place is beautiful but the maintenance staff at murn are rude. I don't understand When you are employed in a position labeled customer service and you are rude and act like you hate your job then why the hell are you working there. This incident really has left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope and pray nobody has a maintenance emergency over the weekend because the staff at the brompton could care less. I've lived here for about a year and I can't say enough good things about this place! First of all, the staff is phenomenal! They all know me by name and know my apartment, which really gives this place a professional and friendly touch. The construction of the apartment is solid. You don't hear much from your neighbors except for possible movement above you. Everything is a nice quality inside and if you ever have any issues, the maintenance team is quick and attentive. I love the amenities at BH. The pool is well maintained and a great place to relax during the summer and the Gym and Clubhouse are great. The landscape is always well maintained and provides a nice ambiance. I have two dogs and this place is very dog friendly. A lot of the residents here have pets and BH makes owning dogs here very convenient with provided pet waste bags and disposal bins. Overall, I've been extremely pleased with my decision to live here and look forward to renewing my lease when it is up in March. Pros. Lovely counter tops, large bathroom, nice grilling and social area and full size Laundry. Wonderful staff. Cons: this complex is on the direct flight path to BWI. Hearing planes continuously can drive one crazy. Not sure there really are security cameras here. Gates / garage doors to the garage are left open so anyone can get into the area where one can park Underground. They should charge an extra fee if you want to have a parking place underneath. Parking is at a premium. I witnessed one person letting in three different cars because they did not have a key fob and were taking up parking places underground. read more

I can't say good things about this place after finding out how unsafe and dangerous it is to live. It is all butterflies and rainbows at the leasing office until you sign the lease but not at all after start living in this place. Pawn shops and trailer parks are walking distance away. No surveillance cameras in or outside the buildings. There is a key accessed entry gate for cars which always gets broken by violators and nothing is being done to stop it. I wonder why it is there in the first place. I found out that some packages were stolen from my car one day and leasing office only said how unfortunate incident it was. I highly recommend to find a safer place for the price you are paying. read more

Beautiful apartments and apartment building amenities, especially the ones on mistletoe drive. I have enjoyed living here for the past 3 years but my one issue is that the WALLS ARE TOO THIN. While in my room at night, I can hear my next door neighbor's conversations and even his loud snoring. It's not their fault that the walls are so thin here. While in my living room I can hear the neighbors on the other side of me if they happen to be playing music, playing a loud movie, or simply laughing and enjoying themselves. For the amount of money paid in rent you would think the walls would be built to give more privacy and sound proofing. When I first moved in, the leasing manager shared with me that the layout designs were made so that bedrooms were put together on the opposite side of walls and so were the living spaces. Bad design Brompton. On a positive note, the maintenance staff have always been quick to respond and courteous and the neighborhood is nice overall. read more

I have lived here for 4 years. Initially, everything was great. Maintenance is extremely helpful and the property is well maintained and clean. The amenities are nice, and the apartment has a lot of updated features. Some folks in the front office are actually quite helpful and nice, but unfortunately their hands are tied under the regime of Scott. However, you have a good chance of having terrible neighbors and management does nothing in their power to resolve any issues. Even if you are living on the top floor, you will hear and feel the neighbors below you running around, screaming, moving furniture, playing music, etc., and even during quiet hours, management refuses to act. These types of issues have been ongoing for over a year and the property manager, Scott, continually says he'll address it when you file a complaint, but shockingly nothing ever actually happens. He and the employees at the management office will show you all the empathy in the world when you talk to them, but it is all smoke and mirrors as no action is ever taken. They will always fail to follow up on something as simple as an email or phone call, and are conveniently too busy to discuss issues the majority of the time. We've had several times where we've mentioned the noise after quiet hours and Scott's response is "well, what do you want me to do about it?" or "call the police about it" as if he has no experience with conflict resolution. This management doesn't want to resolve issues. They simply want you to believe they'll do something about it in the future so you keep giving them rent each month. On the plus side, if you are a noisy, inconsiderate person that has no spatial awareness, this is the place for you as you won't ever get evicted for breaking your lease, especially if you have kids. They are untouchable. While many of the four and five star reviews on rating websites for Brompton could be legitimate, management also provides incentives to their residents if they fill out a review with a good rating. Many of these high ratings are from previous management, which I can say was markedly more impressive and better than the current team. Brompton Team, don't bother replying to this review with a scripted reply about how you are sorry for our experience here and you want us to reach out to improve our situation because you've made it quite clear over the past several years that you care more about optics and PR than you do the actual well being and quality of life of your residents. :) read more

The Brompton House is a versatile, and dynamically diverse, community; with a gregariously helpful staff. My wife and I have been residents of this luxurious housing facility for almost 3 years; and there isn't really much we can complain about, for the most part. Brompton House embodies the ideals of a lavish lifestyle; expressed through their accommodations, their fitness/recreational sectors, and the overall feng shui of the estate. Besides the actual estate--Brompton House is located in a pivotal area of cultivation, and convenience, near the capital and other prominent Maryland destinations. Even though the Brompton House has progressive, and practical, housing for both families and professionals--there are some small "thorns" in the "majestic garden." The biggest "thorn" is the drafty windows. I had to purchase an insulation kit, for covering every window in the house, to combat both the cold/heat seasonal changes and the utility bill. This need, for an insulation kit, prevents such luxuries as being able to open, the numerous, windows on beautiful days. Even though "thorns" are a nuisance at times, we're fans of Brompton House's "rose garden." If Brompton House were to ever resolve the drafty window issue, they would escape comparison from other housing facilities. In closing, Brompton House shows prompt and earnest actions with resolving most issues; typically found within a home. They have established a great system for alerting residents of mail, and other need-to-know activities/procedures. Brompton House also has a system of convenience, for visitors to dial your apartment/townhome number, that allows residents to open the door and/or gate with their phone; which will allow their guest access. All and all Brompton House is a convenient and comforting housing facility; for all individuals not quite ready to purchase a home. read more

Extremely racist! Although I am late in posting my review, perhaps this can warn other minorities. Better late than never! I was one of the first tenants to rent the property when they first were built and was harassed by management on a weekly basis. Some of the incidents were being falsely accused of borderline stealing a spare key, not paying my deposit when the check was in my file, harassed for dumping trash in a construction garbage can that was unmarked. The leasing agent at the time had even gone as far as picking up cigarette butts outside and accusing my husband of dumping them, without proof that it came from him. And several other petty incidents. I was definitely under a microscope, and their intent was to seek out something to evict me. When I brought the harassment to his attention over the phone he threatened not to renew my lease. Its obvious that not only does this treatment towards minorities seems to be a pattern with the property managers, but it's supported at the corporate level. I complained to corporate and nothing was done and reading the comments it seems like nothing has changed. All minorities need to stop giving our hard earned money to folks that does not respect us as customers. read more

I called to the leasing office for my youngest sister and the person that I spoke with was unhelpful and didn't seem interested in our request for information. Even if you do not have availability for the time frame, it is smart to get our information in case something opens up or we wanted to schedule a tour. I was willing to become a co-signer and help with her rent. If the woman would of asked, instead of rushing us off of the phone, she would of received that information and we would of applied to hold her spot. I hate bad customer service. read more

I recently moved into this complex 1 month ago and I am by far happy I found this apartment. Wish I had moved into this apartment months ago coming from one of the big neighboring apartments. Their attention to detail is by far compared to none I've toured in the area. I knew this was the place when I waked into the foyer of one of the new apartment buildings. These are very similar to Bozzuto properties and from what I've research they are a smaller management company. The management staff is quick and prompt never encountered any of them but I'm sure they are nice. They fix things the first time. Now what I have noticed is that the lobby in the common area are very nice and spacious where you should be able to host large gatherings. They don't allow large gatherings due to their location to peoples adjourning apartments and because they are for the whole appt to enjoy. The 1 star review is taking this a little out of context. Memorial Day Weekend they had several parties throughout the weekend which led to the notice and the investigation by management. Don't throw parties in the large common area and you will love this apartment. I have enjoyed everything here and hope to enjoy the next 14 months here at Brompton House. read more

This is a horrible, horrible place. I'm so mad my fiance and I was tricked into signing a year lease with them. 1. My neighbor below me smokes and my and my neighbor's apartment is filled with smoke every day I come home. I tried everything from closing my windows to putting towels down on the balcony to kept the smoke from coming upstairs, did I mention that I am allergic - yeah, super fun. Sure, it's supposed to be banned in this community, which is why I picked it, yet every time I complain the property manager Scott Goldberg says, "We'll go talk to them", but nothing changes, and they act like I've never come to talk to them about this before - makes me feel like I'm in the twilight zone. 2. My other neighbor has a dog that barks all day and night. The walls are super thin, you get no privacy. No joke, I can hear my neighbor's full blown conversations. My neighbors like to play loud music every weekend at midnight , (same neighbors who smoke). Again, I've told management.. 3. It isn't safe - Constantly cars in the parking lot are broken into, kid's bikes, patio sets, and other belongings on people's balcony's go missing, regularly. I'm frequently harassed just when walking in the neighborhood, as a female I do not feel safe. I've heard horror stories from other women of being approached when coming home late at night. I can't sleep, let alone relax in my apartment that I pay a lot of rent for - it's incredibly loud. I am already looking for another place to live - I'm going to pay to break lease. There are MUCH better communities in this area. The problem is, management just doesn't care. Don't let the looks fool you, the property manager doesn't care about even serious safety and well-being concerns. read more

Like others, my initial review would have been 5-star and glowing. After being a resident for a year now, the experience has been less than good. Start with security - gates are inconsistent or broken. Garage door also unreliable. The door came down in one of our cars causing significant damage, but it was deemed our fault because of key fob user error. Really? Replacement of odd items in the apartment do not make sense and the dumpster placement that basically block the entrance to the "secured" parking are a nice touch. The walls are less than sound proof as evidenced by the screaming child we hear at all hours and the elephants that live above us stampeding at all hours. I admit we reluctantly signed another year lease because we haven't found a house but the icing on the cake is a broken drier full of wet clothes on Friday evening at 5:30 PM - after hours - but supposedly, there's 24 hour maintenance so no problem right? Wrong! They might get to us tomorrow. And the person on the phone? Unprofessional and must unhelpful. Such a joy to live here. read more

My Husband and I moved into the Brompton House Phase 2 apartment July 2017. It has been a great place for us to live. Staff is extremely friendly, maintenance has been very responsive to our request. Always adequate parking around the home. And the lounge and patio area are a great place to hold parties and gatherings!! I love living here! The community is beautiful! The staff is very courteous and always willing to help. Maintenance requests are always carried out in a timely manner. The grounds and common areas are kept very clean. Any visitor I have is always amazed that the quality of this apartment complex. Easy leasing process. They laid it all out. There were no surprises. They had the exact townhouse they said they had. (Unlike other communties.) Proffessional staff. Maintenance is very responsive. Grounds are kept clean and taken care of. They know how to run a business! The only thing I would suggest is a dog run. Woof :) read more
