My sewer line was backed up when we asked them to come out for a quote on the trenchless line replacement, so they first cleared the line RIGHT THEN for us. Unfortunately, my actual experience was far from what the rating suggested, and I hope sharing my hard lesson will help others avoid the same mistake. Bypassed Yelp Platform: After I submitted a Project Request on Yelp, they didn't reply in the Yelp messaging thread or provide a written quote. Instead, they looked up my phone number and called me directly. Bait-and-Switch & Unreasonable Receipts: After agreeing on an initial quote, they asked extra $200 charges during material procurement lying about the material cost. One receipt included some tools, like pipe cutter and etc (which contractors should supply), yet they took all the tools with them after finishing. Another receipt was timestamped much earlier that day from a store about 60 miles away in a different city, which clearly had nothing to do with my project. Faulty Installation & No Follow-Up: Just one week later, the pipe they installed started leaking. When I contacted them to fix their work, they initially claimed they were on vacation, and then completely ignored all subsequent messages. Please learn from my mistake--NEVER EVER communicate or agree to quotes off the Yelp platform. Keep every conversation and quote strictly within Yelp messages so you remain eligible for Yelp Guaranteed protection. Save yourself the trouble and hire a different professional.
