Weddings can be stressful to plan. Booking with Gateway Liquors has been the most difficult part. At first, they stated that I could supply some of the alcohol. I was so excited to do this because I wanted Yuengling (they don't provide it). Then a week later they said "you can provide all of it if you want and we will send 2 bartenders for $15/hr." I thought this was too good to be real. A couple days later, when I spoke to the GM Tyler, he explained that they no longer wanted to cater our wedding. I asked why and he said that he wasn't providing any of the alcohol. I explained that I was only going to provide what he couldn't provide and if that was a hassle or violated any ordinance/laws, that it wasn't that big a deal. We agreed that he was going to provide all of the alcohol again. We talked numbers and came to a conclusion on what we wanted. Then two weeks before our wedding, we called Gateway Liquors to get the final costs. We were then told that they were no longer going to cater our wedding. What. A. Joke. read more

I really like this place it has great selection from beer to spirits and has something for everyone. Yeah it's kind of expensive but it's close to campus and the only other place is panther liquor which sucks. The guys that work here are overall pretty cool and they know what there talking about. Honestly I would much rather go here then anywhere else around here in chucktown. read more
