I also sent an email to the store and got an immediate reply from the manager, Val. He apologized for the incident and bought me a fresh 6-pak of the beer of my choice. The Selection: They had a GREAT selection of Colorado micro brews!! Since we were in Idaho Springs I opted to grab Tommy Knocker's Tundrabeary; which I'd never seen before and it was delish! I also grabbed Big Sky Brewing Co.'s Summer Honey. The Staff: While I only interacted with the gentleman at the register he was super friendly and helpful! The Location: Next to Safeway in Idaho Springs, so there was plenty of parking and it was easy to find. It's a huge space too! While I don't live in the area to come back more frequently, I'm sure I'll be back by as I head into the mountains for another adventure!!

In a ski area with one of the most expensive lift tickets in the country, $400+ nightly hotel/resort rooms, and exquisite dining options, it's nice to be able to save some coin on bottled wines, craft beers, or liquor. In the interest of keeping classy, (or not...) we left our happy hour spot for Vail Fine Wines, grabbed some cigars (also sold here), and brown-bagged a round of 22oz craft beers around one of Vail's outdoor pit fireplaces...a great way to relax after a day of awesome skiing! Wow. Just wow. In town to ski and this dinner was one of…read morethe absolute highlights. The menu felt slightly overwhelming but we had THE BEST waiter ever (yay, Alex!) who answered my million questions - both cocktails and dinner. He gave us amazing detail and recommendations. Drinks for the table included La Lancha, Sh$& is Bananas, Oaked and Smoked, Martinez Royale and probably others that I cannot recall. 5+++ stars all around. As someone who doesn't regularly dabble in cocktails, I think I need to become a mixologist just so I can make myself the La Lancha and Sh$& is Bananas at home. Just saying ... Fast forward to our meals. Three in our group when for the large format meal to split between them - and it was a winner. Jalapeño fried chicken with mashed and biscuits + a side of carrots and the reds. That was more than enough for 3 people and the leftover fried chicken is delish the following morning. My hubs went with the prime rib (insert chef's kiss) and I did the filet. Amaaaaazing. And because I wanted to feel beyond stuffed, we also had the chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Candidly - the menu prices are a bit steep but worth every single penny. I cannot recommend this spot enough. Quirky and fun atmosphere, simply amazing staff and phenomenal food. Run. Don't walk. Trust me.

And they let me try these for free! They have lots of merch, we bought some glassware.
