Both times I've been in the store the first reaction I get is a bad one. Today, on my 21st birthday, I went to go buy a grinder. The guy working sold me on a "limited edition good bong, and would take away the cost of the grinder and give me a discount for my birthday." Bring it home, first hits, bong breaks, bring it back, tells me i have to leave and he can't help me, "Go back to your car." Told him i don't want the bong repeatedly, he offered to replace my bowl piece with the same branded milk way bowl piece which just exploded on impact. I came in and was greeted by a larger woman with light hair and discussed glass pieces with her for around 10 minutes. I then purchased a 2 clipper lighters, which I'd never purchased before (the brand or the specific type). i asked how much they were, and was surprised that they were $10. I bought them thinking they must be pretty nice. I then discovered that after talking with my friends, these were worth $1.30 at the fitter next door. Another time I went in a few weeks later to a different person, and bought more of the same lighters, which rang up for $2 each or so. I asked why I was charged $10 each last time and he had no answer for me. Terrible experience, and then my friend bought a bong from them which the bowl piece shattered as soon as he tried to use a toke and poke to clean the bowl piece, they offered him a much cheaper bowl piece as a replacement and said they couldnt do anything more. terrible experience every time I've heard of them. read more

Cute shop here in Boulder! They have a wide selection of glass but aren't exclusively a head shop, meaning they have lots of smokables available for purchase too. I love that they have CBD cigs here as other shops always seem to be running out. They also occasionally run a "buy one glass piece, get another for $4.20". Yesterday on Black Friday I ventured in to Wild Side for the first time with some friends. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles. Dakota welcomed us at the door and explained some of the specials they had going on. My friend was in need of a detox kit and he was able to oblige. With enthusiasm, the kit was explained. How it works, the benefits of using etc. and just like that, my friends mind was out at ease. After Dakota explained the "smok fit" a better version he the "juul" two of my friends converted and are hooked! For me, I was in need of pure CBD products. Joe is an expert in all things CBD and provided me with information I needed. I have been a CBD user for a few years now to treat anxiety as well as physical pain. I must say after using some of the CBD products I purchased from wild side for just two days now I feel great! Tarrah was a sweet heart. She provided me and my crew with excellent service. Certain staff here do way too many drugs at work. Spent 30 minutes finding the right water pipe and then they wrap up the wrong one. I took it back to get the right one and they wouldn't exchange it even when they gave me the wrong product. I was actually really surprised to see these poor reviews. I stopped by Wild Side for the first time this evening, looking to pick up a basic vape (e-cig) kit. I've had a number of kits before, but am not a "pro" about the hobby. The person that helped me (Mindy?) was super knowledgable and didn't force anything on me. I'm employed in the legal marijuana industry, so I have fairly high (pun intended) standards for customer service in head shops and dispensaries. Wild Side exceeds my expectations EVERY TIME! The employees are incredibly kind, helpful, and relatable. My boyfriend and I always stay longer than we need because the staff is super fun and interesting to talk to. They give honest and detailed feedback when asked about their products, and I've never EVER felt coerced into buying something I don't want. The prices are very reasonable, although I've honestly only purchased concentrate rigs from them, so I can only speak to that. I noticed a bunch of bad reviews and in defense of Wild West Smoke Shop, bad customers are rampant in Boulder, especially within the weed industry. People get pissed off and take their anger out on Yelp even when they're in the wrong. Please take those bad reviews with a grain of salt. Still shook from a recent experience I had at what used to be my favorite smoke shop. There was only one person working when I went in and I have no idea what his deal was, but he was clearly pissed off. Came in looking to ask a couple questions about a new product I had never tried to see if it would be something I'd like, and every answer I got made me seem as if I was a huge inconvenience to this guys day. I was made uncomfortable seconds after walking into the store and that lasted the whole time I was in the shop. This was by far the rudest and angriest guy I've ever dealt with at any shop of any kind. During covid the one thing that almost everyone has tried at least once is smoking, and the one thing you need is pieces. Me and a friend brought out another friend from California to go skiing and it was his first time really taking nectar collector dabs. By the time his week in Colorado was up he was really into taking dabs and wasn't going to go and buy a banger when he was just flying home. I had been into wild side and when I tell you I was embarrassed to bring him here. Mind you I have this as two stars because everyone is decently friendly and they have an amazing selection of pieces although on the pricey side. We went in and asked for a nectar collector. I was also in the market seeing as mine has just recently broken. We went in to this store with bright lights and surrounding glass cases with hope. When we asked the guy working what nectar collector he recommended he proceeded to show us the $80+ ones. We only had $30 to spend and even that was more than I'd usually like to spend on a nectar. We just wanted to grab something basic because it was his first nectar. The guy at the store kept saying that he really recommended we didn't buy anything with glass and that it was cheap, at first we were willing to listen and ask around about even the silicone ones but those has glass tips and he was not down to sell us that. We kept on asking for their least expensive cheapest nectar and he basically refused to sell it to us. At the end he was very condescending just saying how they're not worth it and anyone who buys one is really just wasting their money etc etc... very disappointed... We ended up going to K+K down the road, they were so so nice there and we ended up getting an amazing glass nectar that is still in use today for $20. I'm glad I had a backup otherwise I would have been so ashamed to tell him about a place I hyped up only for them to pretty much refuse service. read more

DO NOT GO HERE IT IS A SCAM. This is the second poor experience I have had with this shop, I figured I would give it a second chance... Hmmm... pretty disappointed. Ran out of butane and went here to purchase a new bottle, the employees were very helpful and friendly and then things took a turn. The guy helping me and my friend scammed us into buying one bottle of butane for the price of two. Upon realizing what had happened we returned and were met with hostility. The manager (owner?) was present and despite us literally walking in a mere 5 minutes before, would not even talk about the price discrepancy much less the scam. Eventually we left with our 13$ bottle of butane as to not cause a scene. Got a quartz banger and after a week it has multiple cracks with careful heating and it hasn't been dropped. Quartz is far more durable than this, I've had a few quartz nails and they last a long time if you heat them properly and don't drop them (I've even dropped a few with no cracks) so clearly this is just a cheap glass nail from China you can get for $2 or less in bulk, ridiculous markup. In the future I'll stick to other quality Boulder headshops like Rocketman or Mile Hile Pipe and Tobacco. read more

Hands down the worst head shop i've ever been to. I've tried this place out several times. Both time's I've gone in and asked the girl working if they have a particular Item. Both times they didn't have what I am looking for. I don't fault them for this, you can't carry everything. But the girl insists on not recommending something else, but lecturing me on why I'm stupid for looking for the product I am. The last time ended in her literally laughing at me for telling her that I have had a good experience with Pax vaporizers. I honestly suspect she was playing some sort of game or had some sort of bet with a coworker going on, that's how terrible the customer service is. If you need anything smoking related, head down the street to the Fitter, where your business will be appreciated by nice staff you can imagine smoking a bowl with. If you need any e-cig equipment, head a couple stores down to Boulder Vapor House where they have a WAY bigger selection and killer staff. Let me start by saying that it takes a lot (either extreme good or bad) to compel me to write a Yelp review. I'm sorry to say that this one falls under the "extreme bad" category. Last week, I went into Wild Side to buy my usual four packs of rolling papers. The saleswoman seemed intent on selling me more than this. She was very nice and friendly. I told her that I don't buy glass anymore because I break everything I touch. She directed me to a line of pipes that are made with "indestructible" glass (or some other word that implies it would be extremely difficult to break). To test how durable these pipes were, she took one out of the case and slammed it on the glass countertop. This seemed convincing to me. Though she didn't say "These are impossible to break," her demonstration - along with the product name itself - seemed like enough to think that this pipe would stand the test of time. I spent $40 on the pipe and went home happily. Two days later, the pipe fell off the table (because I break everything) and shattered into dozens of tiny pieces. Hardly reminiscent of the demonstration the store did for me to sell me the product. When I walked into the store today to explain the problem (to the same saleswoman who sold it to me), her immediate response was, "All glass breaks." She repeated this so many times that I got the impression other people had been in the shop with similar problems. I told her that I knew that, but that I only bought this product because of how I specifically told her I break everything. Again, I was told, "All glass breaks" as if I was a five-year-old who couldn't understand a basic physical concept. That was super condescending. She then had the audacity to try to sell me another product. Summary: this store exploited the fact that I am a clumsy person by selling me something they insisted would be extremely difficult to break. When that product broke into dozens of pieces two days later, I was not offered any sympathy (let alone the exchange that I think this incident warrants), let alone any admission of clearly shady sales practices. Lesson: Don't trust people who are overly ambitious to sell you something you don't need. And know that this store is serious when it says that you cannot return/exchange anything. read more

A friend of mine bought a vape tank which happened to be a dud. They replaced for free no questions asked! The glass is great and cheap.
