I am thrilled that I have this location in Brooklyn. It was close to home and a change from Atlantic Ave mall. Finding the location was cool, parking was even better and the stores I visited had great prices and way lower compared to similar stores at different locations. Yes it was crowded and driving on our way out was congested, but it's to be expected it's a mall. Be ware if you choose to settled down and grab a bite to eat at Applebee's service was not impressive. The staff seems to be tired and annoyed and confused as to what to do with you when you walk in. Other than that I love locations with multiple exits and entrances and that have merchandise in stock. Although they can use help organizing and cleaning up some of the Dept. Overall, be wise selecting a time and day to go to avoid crowds and mayhem. read more

I had the worst experience at this place! MY car got robbed on the parking lot and there were no cameras that would show the thieves. Security guys said that it's an ongoing problem since t is hard to look for the thieves. Be careful when you go there, don't leave anything in your car! read more

This review is for Raymour and Flanigan in Gateway Brooklyn. I was a customer until this evening when I met one of the store managers, Phylicia Lynch. She is god awful and because of that fact, I took my $5,000 furniture order someplace else. There was a misunderstanding regarding my order and Phylicia Lynch said she needed to call R and F credit in order to make an adjustment to the account. She proceeded to put the credit department on the speaker phone while there were other customers around and starts yelling all of my personal business into the phone for everyone else to hear. I was humiliated and embarrassed beyond measure. I felt like crying. I called my husband who could hear her yelling our business in the background and was just as upset as I was. Ultimately, due to Phylicia Lynch, I requested a refund and walked out. It's unfortunate because I really liked Carl Thomas, who was our salesperson and worked with us to pick out nice pieces for our living room. I simple refuse to patronize a business that would have Phylicia Lynch as a store manager. She should be kept away from customers. I'm going to tell all of my family and friends not to shop at this particular R and F. I couldn't in good faith recommend they patronize a store with such a rude manager. read more

So disappointed and saddened! My husband and I bought over $300 worth of merchandise from Bed Bath and Beyond and Target last night. As we were putting our children in the car, we thought the other was placing our purchased items inside too. Of course the unthinkable happened and we left without our things only to realize what happened once we got home. Long story short, we tried our best to find our items but they were long gone. The employees left at Bed Bath and Beyond couldn't care less. The employees at Target actually tried to help us but to no avail. And Gateway Security couldn't do a thing because all they do is patrol. There are no cameras anywhere in the parking lot. Be aware and be careful! read more

What! I just visited the new shops with my kids, nieces and nephews past week and wow. Love the Aldi Food Market they have great bargains for a big family. We bought these big frozen pizzas - we bought two. Went home the kids loved it. Went back the next day and bought five. And they got this amazing chocolate cake right across the pizzas and it is a hot item. If I did not have people over that week I would have been there for a few days -- checking out each store. I still need to check out Michaels, Pier Imports and Reymour Flanagan forget about it, those two stores would take a day or two. And still need to check out ShopRite. I like to take my time in the stores that I have interest in. If this mall had a movie theater and a Cheesecake Factory, forget it ! ! ! I have a new hangout. So far I like it. Its very clean and I like walking around with my family there. The other side they have Target, that's my store. The Olive Garden (they need to put more food on their plate though for that price - sorry.) the Cheesecake Factory is very generous with their portions. Just an observations coming from a large family. lol. They need a Cheesecake Factory in this mall and a Sushi place and Starbucks, forget about it, people would really take the time to drive here. read more

If I could give negative stars. Kill yourself before you go here. They could not get an order right between 7 employees and 5 phone calls. Ordered online on Saturday morning for pickup and which lists a 2hr pick-up window and they never got back to us. We called on Sunday and they told us our order would be ready in one hour to call back. We called the corporate office, they called the store and couldn't get the store on the phone. They told the person from the corp office to tell us that they should be called in an hour to pick up the items. Got an automated email on Monday saying some of the items were available (maybe if you fulfilled my order 3 days ago when it came in ). We came in to pick up the limited list on Tuesday and when we got there they could not find out items. After waiting 40 mins in the store, they offered a refund or the option to wait while they picked everything again. Spent at least an hour selecting items on this originally. As they tried to issue a refund by hand the cashier went through the list, one at a time she painstakingly entered the code for each of the 20 or so items. This was the worst shopping experience of my life and I will never shop at any Staples store again. read more

This mall is ridiculously hard to get to if you live in Queens. When I look on the map - Gateway Mall is SO close to my apartment. Unfortunately, the MTA made it a 2 transfer trip. I have to take public transportation in the wrong direction, instead of the right direction adn the route you're forced to take is shaped like a giant 'C' shape. The real distance is only 2 miles. But because of the highways, and the marsh, and the MTA, the trip takes well over an hour. The MTA shows that the route takes 45-50 minutes. In actuality, they have you traveling over 6 miles and it takes well over an hour. The MTA provided some decent options if you're approaching from Brooklyn. But if you're coming from Queens, forget it. read more

I was excited to see that a TJ Maxx was coming to Gateway Center Mall in Brooklyn. I decided to go visit and was appalled at the amount of crap that was for sale. There was clothing that was torn, dusty, and very, very outdated in the racks. The clothing looked as though someone emptied a warehouse and dumped it into a store. It seemed as though someone was under the illusion that the people who live in Brooklyn aren't stylish and don't deserve decent clothing. We are home owners, business owners and very fashionable people and the fact that someone at TJ Maxx thought that, that this would be OK boggles my mind. I thought that the owners of TJ Maxx were all about promoting fashion and when I've gone to stores in Long Island and in New Jersey that's what I see, but the stuff in this particular store is NOT living up to what you advertise. I hope that this is just an aberration and that in the future the merchandise in this store will be on a par with the merchandise in all of your other stores. read more

I called Marshalls on Friday night to see if they had a dress in my size the customer service agent told me to hold on .I was on hold for twenty minutes so I decided to hang up and call again .The next time the girl asked me what the name of the dress was so I told her she never asked me the size I wanted or what the dress looked like.the store itself is nice but the customer service is alot of improving Please train your staff so you don't lose customers read more

Okay ShopRite is the best! Without a doubt! I will never go to Pathmark, Associated, KeyFood, or Pioneer EVER AGAIN! I spent $200.00 at ShopRite and I got double the amount of food compared to the other supermarkets listed above. I love to save money. I love the new ShopRite. I like Gateway Center very much. It has a lot of very nice stores and has a great amount of parking space. The only problem that I have with the area mall is that there is not enough places to eat when the crowd finishes shopping. I know that the steak house Boulder Creek is no longer there and has yet to be replaced but hopefully soon. The people who work in the Bed Bath and Beyond are very nice and professional and I often visit that location. read more

I find Gateway to be only a convenient place to shop. I had hoped it would be an enjoyable place to spend an afternoon, but that it is not. I would like to see more kids friendly fun places and more protection from the elements for shoppers(we walk in the rain, snow, heat, from store to store). The Home Depot needs to be better stocked. all the best buy workers were very rude and complainers. no one looked like they wanted to be there. i went to buy my laptop that im using now and the guy made me wait 10 min and all he was doing was talking with the others. twice they would pass me and ignored me like as if i never said anything. i finally managed to ask one of them as he passed by and i asked how much is this and he said the price is right there. and rudely walked away. the store is great but the employees aren't. the store gets a 100 the employees get my middle finger. read more

I was going to give a 3 star, but I bumped it up to a 4 star due to the fact that some of the employees do their job okay. (Not all of them though). At times I feel anxious, because I feel I should not have to wait 15-20 minutes to get an appetizer or a salad.......... Or wait forever, then the appetizer comes the same time as the main course. However, the employees know how to 'sweet talk' and take away some of my anger. I want to mention an employee at the Brooklyn, Gateway Mall, her name is Gabrielle. When Gabrielle is my server, I never have to wait long for appetizer, salad, main course or dessert. I feel that Gabrielle is the best server at Brooklyn, Gateway Mall. I met Gabrielle on my first visit to Gateway Mall. Her mannerism was humble, sweet, and she gave off the feeling that she genuinely cared for me as a customer. She made no mistakes with my order. Even though I am seated in another part of the restaurant that Gabrielle was not serving, (due to the fact the place was super crowded)..... I always take a glance around the restaurant for her. There are two reasons this target is getting one star, one reason is an hour before closing time they feel the need to only have two to three lines open when it's about 80 to 90 customers on line. Now you guys reading this are gonna love this trick that some of the cashiers pull, it's happened to me twice already, i call it the leave one bag on the floor and they will forget it trick, when they bag your stuff up they quickly put your groceries on the table, then when their isn't enough room they hand you your bags then you put them in your cart. Now the slick ones will put a bag on the floor and you won't realize something is missing until you drive all the way home, I bought this to my wifes attention and a week and a half ago this dude at the register was trying to pull it on me again, i was dying to catch and expose him but my eyes gave it away because he saw me looking at the bag he put on the floor a few times, so he handed it to me at the very end, it wasn't like i had ten bags, why not just hand me the bag my cart is right next to where your putting the bags, so now I'm done with the long ass lines I have to wait on, they have over 30 registers and only open half of them, I live in queens ten minuites away by car which made it convenient, but you know what I'll just order online from Fresh Direct and only spend what I wanted to in the first place because it's even more convenient read more
