Well, I…read morefinished pumping my money ($4.10/ gallon) into my tank and being the absent minded professor that I am when I'm stressed, I left my gas tank lid open as well as lid cover. As I was about to pull away, the nice gas station attendant tapped on my window and with the nicest smile and a "good morning" informed me that my gas tank lid was still open. I know this is a small thing, but simple gestures like that mean a lot. This has happened I hate to say before, and I have found that some people just don't care. I wish I had had the presence of mind to catch his name to tell him how that nice gesture made my morning. :-) P.S: was bothering me so much that I didn't catch his name that I drove back around to thank him properly. This station has gone through many updates over the years; they're always trying to improve. I remember the days when they had a little pay stand in the middle of the pumps (before paying at the pump was prevalent). The staff has always been super nice whenever we go inside and the store is always clean.

Also all the other conveniences you seek when stopping at a gas station. The only thing missing from this Gate location is the Gate Express Car Wash which hopefully they build soon. The location of this store is in front of Gate Headquarters, so it has no choice but to be top notch. The store has all your convenience store essentials like blunt wrappers, malt liquor, condoms, lottery tickets, etc. They also sell gasoline; the price is in line with the other stores around. So if you looking at being intoxicated, fueling up your car, or just need a can of gas for other reasons then Gate is for you. Seriously the store has been remodeled in recent years and it stays pretty clean and the crew is always friendly.

Because of the pumps being out- it makes it a little more interesting to get gas here- for the time being. I was able to pull right into a pump, but others were waiting for spots to free up to pull in. Prices here are a little higher than other stations around Jax- but I swear where, if it's near the interstate- it's hiked a few pennies! And this location is off 295. As far as grabbing gas- pumps are fast, it's painless to pump here! When they wrap up the construction it will be back to 4 star gas!!!

I guess it might just be the area in St Johns County. The parking lot is always clean and definitely not a lock of pumps. The inside of the store is well maintained with lottery. They do have a air pump station for those unfortunate flats and cold weather days when your TPM is reading low. There is a cost though to operate the machine, .50 cents I believe. They offer a very good selection of drinks, snacks, quick to go meals and bathrooms for the public. Anytime I have had interaction with employees, it has been a positive experience.
