I tried to politely decline since I had no cash and offered him something to eat from inside the store but all he kept saying is he needed money for food. He then followed me inside where I asked again, what can I buy you. He became mute and just stared at me. It made me feel a bit uneasy. The gas station itself was fine, but the interaction really left a bad taste. Hopefully, the staff can keep an eye out for situations like this in the future as they really didn't get involved.

Especially talking to people with your attitude demanding first class service? No. Gas station not a rewarding job especially if it's 24/7, at some point you'll get a shift you don't wanna do that's way too early or way too late or both at the same time. This place has basically a fast food restaurant inside and they have good stuff. Burgers and burritos and all. I'd go here way before Jack in the Box. And frozen yogurt! Never have I ever. We don't get that luxury in California. You know what else they have though, chicharrones and cracklins. Same thing. But multiple flavors. So bad, the bags are so light and airy and one bag does not look like it could possibly have that many calories in it. But 5-7 servings each. Those were gone in one day. Won't have to worry about snacking on them now I guess.

The first time I ever had an issue one of the lady cashiers was being very rude to my father-in-law and mother-in-law who is elderly and speak little english. The manager was able to deal with the issue and I stopped going for while. To tonight I had to go because I needed gas and felt safe going here because it's close by my house. Once I got to the window. I verbally spoke with cashier Dedrick but due to me having a low pitch voice I also pointed at my vehicle to get gas and proceeded to point at the slushy machine. In these exact words he tells me " stop pointing it's rude." I said "excuse me," because I shocked that he would say something like that. He sent me away because I told him he was rude and that I did not have to follow his commands. Shell, I don't see why he still works here when even the manager stated she has had to speak with him on mu occasions. I did not deserve to be spoken to in that manner and I will be calling corporate until something is done about mr Dedrick. Customers, BE AWARE!

However, the staff is COMPLETELY GHETTO . The male staff that work there are horrible! They are so rude and act like they are doing ME a favor by patronizing the place . I understand they probably only make 9 or 10 and hour and they hate their life but that's not my problem !! Not to mention the homeless people outside always begging for money . Michelle is the only one that is friendly and pleasant . This establishment needs to have a training class on how to treat customers they are just awful.

In the past two weeks that I've been here one lady was straight up eating a sandwich while cashing out guests, and another time a different female was eating a bag of Doritos and licking her fingers in between customer cash outs and wiping her hands on her pants. Not only is that disgusting and unsanitary, but your customers don't want their items to be touched by the hands of someone that's been eating at the cashier station and also don't want to be rude and do what should be the manager's job to begin with.

PROS - It is usually fairly clean, has an area to check the air in your vehicle's tires, an area to vacuum and freshen up the interior, a good car wash and a number of parking spaces. If all you need to do is get gas and clean your car, you likely won't even need to go inside the store, especially if you bring cash for the vacuum and put your car wash on your card. Makes things much faster, and is especially helpful when you are in a hurry. CONS - You can get much better coffee and tea at the nearby Starbucks, and it would be worth the extra cost. Much better sandwiches and salads are available at Jersey Mike's next door, Panera, or even Wendy's and it would be well worth the trip. Most of the employees late at night are too busy chatting with others to be helpful, and it is so busy during the day that getting in and out is a real pain. A couple of the employees in particular are surly no matter what shift they are working, which is a real problem that needs to be addressed. Overall - Good for gas, cleaning up your vehicle and grabbing a quick snack or a soda, but not for lunch or coffee, because several other better options are available nearby.

Fact is, the attendant was a good guy and he did explain the phenomenon that is Pump #3. Pump #3, I am told, works when IT wishes to. I learned this after about three minutes (that's a long time, when exaggeration isn't incorporated - and you know it) of fiddling with the Y/N, the Pin, the zipcode, the octane, the swiping, the rest. During this three minute period, I gazed over to the other side of the street and noticed far moderner pumps. I'm one to dance with the girl that brung me - so I stayed fixed, until I went inside and asked the attendant what the deal was. (see above paragraph). We worked this through, and I pumped this bad-boy Prius up (incidentally, with that new battery reviewed in my most recent "Hybrid Battery Replacement" reviews, I enjoyed a fairly admirable 46.2 mpg average on the round-trip with Tallahassee.) Stockton Street BP, the next time I'm in need for what you can offer, I WILL come to you, and not that uppity station across the way. I'm a sucker for an ole' school layout, and I'm buying what you're selling. You're A-OK by me.

So if you're getting gas, it just makes more sense to get it across the street where it's cheaper. There are occasions when the gas prices are exactly the same (never cheaper here though), but I'd still go to the Gate. The store is small compared to the Gate and doesn't have near the selection of drinks/snacks/coffee/hot food items. The store is also dirty compared to the Gate, as is the parking lot. Not to mention, it's not as well-lit as the Gate. I'm honestly surprised this station is still open. I would have figured Gate would have knocked them out of business by now. Bottom line: Go to the Gate Station across the street.
