There were issues from the moment I ordered the cabinets and after I paid for them. gvKustom Kitchens doesn't place the order unless you pay for taxable items. This is where my troubles began. I have been dismissed and put off constantly on a remodel that lasted a long nine months. Below are some examples: (1) Chip (Job Supervisor) called one day at 9am & said he would be out shortly to measure. He was 90 minutes late, measured & told me he had to be at another appointment in less than 15 minutes. I told him I had questions & he left anyway without answering them. (2) He was here because he miss-measured my countertop & had to cut it back. I tried to approach him on some other items about the remodel. His phone rang & he immediately interrupted our conversation to take the call. That happened a lot. I finally sat down & wrote out what needed to be taken care of & handed him the list. I ran some of my errands & when I returned Chip pulled out the list & we finally talked. I tried to help him by doing half the list & he would do the other half after he had originally agreed to complete the list. A couple days later he called & wanted me to get the other items instead of him completing his portion of the list. Before I hired them they promised to help me out such as picking out cabinets, appliances, etc. (3) I had to wait up to two weeks with nothing being done on the remodel. I understand they have other customers but felt my remodel was being pushed back. (4) Chip didn't even bother to check on the progress of my remodel for well over a month. I wasn't happy with the wall & finally forced him to come to check it out. He thought it was a different wall. He came out & looked at the wall & told me the cabinets weren't level so therefore my backsplash was put in to compensate for uneven cabinets. The backsplash & cabinets had to be redone causing further delays in timing. This could have been rectified earlier had Chip or another supervisor come out to perform a timely review. As of this day there has been no one to check on the progress until final walk thru which didn't happen until early-April without a project manager. Additionally, I have experienced numerous communication issues with management. There have also been problems with communication between management & their workers. Here are some examples: (1) I had to call & ask for documents & certificates for insurance and products only to have to remind them at least three times on each item. Every time, I was told they were busy or out of the office. (2) The ceiling was not parallel with the floor causing the crown molding to not fit. This resulted in uneven cabinets to compensate. They didn't have a solution, so I sat waiting until they could think what to do. It took them about two weeks to come up with a solution. (3) They installed my window incorrectly. I wanted a double-hung window. Chip called & wanted me to go look at some windows. After looking, I followed-up with Chip & told him I decided on the slider with the grilles between the glass. His men installed it as a double-hung window. They weren't notified from Chip that it was a slider. The crew came back on Monday to rectify the situation. (4)I called after not hearing from them for another two weeks. I told Chip we have been at this remodel for five months. He was surprised it was that long & said that the remodel was completed. The back splash wasn't completed & I had a warped door that needed to be replaced which was a carryover I from the last time I talked to him. Chip telling me he was finished really tried my patience and I spoke up. Since then, he has not taken my calls, responded to my text messages or tried to contact me. He basically pushed me off to other workers to do his job. (5) Since then my grout has cracked, a piece of my flooring tile has protruded up, my crown molding to ceiling has a long gap in it & they gouged my wall by pushing my refrigerator against it. (6) I felt my project was not a high priority to them. Meanwhile, I have received at least seven phone calls from different people including the accounting department requesting payment while work either wasn't completed or done incorrectly. Holding back payment was my only recourse for making sure the job was done & done correctly as they were told. The only bright spot was the work crew and some of the sub-contractors. They were very friendly and professional. They actually knew what they were doing if given the correct information. At the end, I connected up with Bridget & she took care of my remodel. She actually cared & got things moving. Received Great Customer Service from her! A remodel that should have taken 2-3 months lasted nine months due to mistakes & poor communication. Granted, they paid for their mistakes. These are just some of my experiences with the company.

I…read morebought a new Ariens Razor mower and the upgrade dual-laser cut blade kit from Menards, and I got to use it for the first time and the Briggs and Stratton engine purges just rolling over the ground within the first 10 feet! Spitting grass around like it was wet, which it was not. I was cutting at the highest setting due to our heat waves lately. The gears wouldn't disengage for the self-propel, even without using the self-propel! I called the Ariens CO several times and after getting through, they said that there's nothing they will do. I'd have to take it to an Ariens dealer/repair shop to have it serviced. Ariens is "passing the buck", on a NEW machine! So, I took it to Ty's which is 15 miles away from where I live. I initially spoke to Ryan who helped me unload the mower and I explained to him what my situation is. He listened very well and was very empathetic. I started the mower and he right away could see that it was hard to pull, and he wasn't pulling the starter rope. I engaged the wheels and they wouldn't disengage so I manually rolled it back and forth, still running, and the wheels finally disengaged. I told him between the mower and the upgraded blade kit, I was in at $600 and I am not putting anymore money into this mower, it's brand new, right out of the box! We both declared. Ryan could feel my frustration and I think he was to with the Ariens product. He checked it in with me and said that they'd be in touch. They are a busy place and very pleasant people. To my surprise in just a couple of days, Shane calls me and says what they found with the Briggs and Stratton engine. He proceeds to explain to me that they removed the valve cover to inspect the valve train- compression release is not working on the camshaft. They need to tear down the brand new engine and replace the camshaft! Invoice 301620. The parts are about 2 weeks out! Shane understood the situation and he would contact Briggs and Stratton. Briggs comes back to DECLINE the repair and DID NOT PAY Ty's for their time for the diagnosis! By now, anybody reading this review can understand how bad this is against Ariens CO and Briggs and Stratton and the message that it sends to customers ! Ty's Outdoor Power did an excellent job with there mechanics and customer service! Drive the extra miles and take your equipment to TY's! The flooring itself looks great and was installed quickly. The finish work leaves a lot to be…read moredesired. Multiple trips were needed to get them to miter/cope a base shoe corner. (At first they said "nothing could be done") They don't finish the edges of the base shoe at all. There is different colored base shoe on the same wall. (Not stained the same or something) Where two pieces of shoe were needed they put the seams/short runs right next to the highest traffic areas instead of hiding them in a corner. The base shoe in the kitchen doesn't match the flooring, cabinets, or other base shoe in the house. There are large gaps under the door trim. In preliminary discussions they said they would "figure something out" to make it look nice. After they got paid it turned into nothing could be done. A vent was broken and they just reinstalled it with the freshly broken slat jammed behind the vent itself. A lot of small details adds up to a janky look. If you are looking for laborers to install flooring they will get the job done for a price but don't expect the fine details to look nice. There were also staples half hanging out on the stairs that my wife caught her finger on and had a bad time with. They also left the door to outside open a lot letting lots of cold air in. The longest time was probably 25 minutes total. I would not hire them again as attention to detail and quality is very important when you are talking about a transaction upwards of 15k.

Jay Grabow, the store manager, has several decades of experience in locksets, hinges, and bathroom hardware. He prides himself on guiding his customers to the best value and quality decisions for door design considerations in their home. Jay and his team help me select the right door hardware and hinges throughout our home and installed them expertly. Twelve years later, the 'most used door in the house' lockset fails. I contact Jay for a replacement and installation. He advises me that he will contact the manufacturer and ordered a free replacement lockset, I did not know I had a lifetime warranty. Next, I requested installation service call and Jay informed me that installation was very simple and that I could do the work myself. He saved me about $250 in purchasing a new door lockset and installation cost! I highly recommended shopping with Jay for all door hardware needs!
