The "variety breakfast" was pretty good. Too much food for one person tho

I didn't know that you need reservation for brunches in Germany.... We were supposed to go to the Arts and Boards nearby, but that place has a 30min wait. Since I need to catch a flight, we decided to try his place. I ordered the "variety" breakfast which basically has everything on the plate. That was a lot of food! The food tasted good, their croissant was pretty good. The service sucks tho. Everything was soooooo slow..... I guess they work at a German speed.....

Ambience was lovely. Waited a while for menu to be brought. I tried their weinbauer schnitzel. It was great! The potato cucumber salad had a nice zing to it. Ordered the Munich lager as well and the whole meal was satisfying. Will return to try their other dishes as well.

My first impression walked into the restaurant Gasthaus Weinbauer was like walked into a hunter house, also felt like the restaurant in the woods. It was quite cool, I guess the whole style of the place seem to be just meant for this, there were some animal trophies and green all around the places. And some they sure got their own humor. I found the place has a really great atmosphere for dinner. The service was quite nice and efficient. After my friends and I sat down not long later, we could order something. And it did take long to get our drinks. We all ordered different kind of food from the menu, there were quite many different offers. Schnitzel, beefs and some special homemade dishes. I really enjoyed the food I ordered. I ordered the Bavarian duck from their special menu, which was only writing in German. Not sure if there also wrote that in English somewhere inside the house. The dish was really great, I even could said that was one of the best dishes I tasted so far in Germany. The potion of the dish was great as well. plus the beer together, that was just fantastic. I was really happy with the food and my friends as well. One small thing, just in case you didn't know, their toilet's signs are writing in the Bavarian language. "Buam" is for men, "Madln" is for women. Don't mix up. The location of this place is quite nice, not so difficult to find. From the U-Bahn station Feilitzschplatz to here, it took about 5-10 mins on foot. For me, this is a great place to have dinner with friends. I am sure, I would like pay a visit again when I'm in Munich.

    Salad.

After walking around the English garden all afternoon and the local street fair, I waited until just after 5:30 to try this restaurant. Had the King Cordon Blue which had a wonderful emmental and salami along with a thin pork in a perfectly done battering. Salad was OK. Would definitely come back.

I Really didn't like the food. Mabey it's just because I don't German food in general. It was just like a peace of fried meet. And normally I love fried stuff. I think it's just not my thing. Or I ordered something that wasn't that good.

Probably the best Bavarian meal I had all week. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Plus some exceptional service to top it off!

Located just behind Old Town on Frauenplatz, it's a little off the beaten track, but not too hard to find. This Bavarian gem has been around for over 125 years. The food was so good. Here you will find traditional German, Bavarian food. We stopped by for lunch and it was packed with mostly locals. We were seated a large table with 3 other couples who were all from the area. One person brought his dog who kept running under the table to sniff my leg. Minus the dog, this was a treat and everyone was so nice. We even toasted when the cold Augustiner beer arrived. Again, we were told to order the sausages so we did. I ordered the 6 and my husband ordered the 8 sausages with sauerkraut. These looked like what we call breakfast sausage, they're thin but pack a a ton of flavor and were delicious, especially with the fresh sauerkraut. The staff was friendly and helpful with an English version menu. The atmosphere was cool and very authentic. Exactly what we were looking for when in Munich.

I stopped by here by myself maybe around 6pm on a Monday and was seated at a table because the bar was full, but told I only had an hour since they were full for reservations. That was totally fine and knew I wouldn't be more than that. If you are coming here with other people, you definitely need to make a reservation. The servers are dressed in traditional German clothes which is a very cool touch. Everyone I spoke to also spoke English. I ordered the schnitzel and whichever beer they recommended with it. I am typically NOT a beer person, but of course I had to try one and whatever this was, was very good. The schnitzel was so crispy and also very delicious. Highly recommend this place!!

The service at Haufbrauhaus was terrible. I ordered a seasonal beer and it was fantastic and the outside seating was wonderful on a perfect day. Our server was awesome and spoke perfect english. I ordered the charcuterie board and it had a couple of hummus scoops and a beef stick and this scoop of stuff that was way too rich for me with pieces of butter in it, but the Germans love it. The pretzels that came with it were great and the cream cheese scoop went perfectly on the pretzel. One of the best meals in Munich, give it a try.
