A smell of deep caramelization. We were fortunate to walk in as soon as a table left. All the other tables were occupied and many customers were sadly turned away. We opted for the classics: beef goulash and veal schnitzel. Both were excellent. Goulash had a rich earthy and savory taste. Felt like a lot of love was put into making it. Beef was tender. I requested a roll to mop up every bit of the remaining gravy. Schnitzel was super crispy, juicy, and well seasoned. It came with a side of potato salad. My friend had their Viennese breakfast (soft boiled egg, butter, jam, honey, organic roll, and organic rye bread), and I had their salmon scrambled eggs (bread with cream cheese, salmon tataki, sea salt, truffle, and cress), which was different than I was expecting but delicious.
