I stopped in top gas up this big rental suburban we use for our field location work with my crew. Manteca mean "lard" in Spanish ... guess I thought I'd throw that in there ... like a city of lard! Anyhow, Costco Gas usually has the cheapest gas around, though there's not much cheap gas around, especially when the vehicle you're driving gets like 12-14 mpg! I like the hoses here at Costco, cause they're long and can stretch to either side of the vehicle, just watch the traffic trying to squeeze through to get out or to the unoccupied pumps, if you're on the far side filling up. I'm glad this isn't Oregon, where they have attendants that fill you vehicle. The card readers read super reliable and fast, not like some of those no name cheap places where you think your card might get skimmed on the pump or something. All gassed up and ready to go! Now it's time for lunch!

When I walked in the operator of the gas station immediately accused me of smoking at the pumps. I was not smoking at the pumps and said no, I was throwing away my trash. I do not smoke. Instead of accusing people maybe you should go clean the women's restroom! it was absolutely disgusting, filthy, and the soap dispenser was empty. I will never come here again!

I have also gone awhile ago right before closing, and when they saw customers pull into their gas station, they locked up 10-15 minutes early! I then questioned what time time they closed at the walk-up window, and he said 10, at which point I laughed and made a comment that he was closing early. He just laughed.
