We went on a small adventure to check out soda shops and found this spot. It is a small store front…read moreand felt a bit crowded. The rolled ice cream being advertised was not available and the employee helping us was a bit short with my kids. They sold a variety of flavored pop corn in the shop and bulk candies like Zotz. My kids had a hoot buying candy for 5 cents a piece. The soda selection was similar to what you'd get at a Fiiz or Swig, though didn't have a drive through or mobile app like many of the soda shops have.

Small shop with lots of different flavored popcorn. Some are sugarcoated and some just have different types of seasonings. They have a board of about 20 different flavored sodas too that they recommend but you can also customize your own. I wanted either diet Dr Pepper or Coke zero but they did not have those so I settled for the diet Coke. I've decided to make my own concoction with mango purée, fresh lime, and Diet Coke. I could not taste any of the mango purée so it would've been nice if there was more in there. There's probably 30 or more different kinds of popcorn you can buy. We decided to try the strawberry, sour cream and onion, and salt and vinegar. The strawberry was really good. I think the sugarcoated popcorn is the best type they have. The sour cream and onion had quite a bit of soggy popcorn with it so it was not my favorite. I like my popcorn with some crunch. We also found that salt and vinegar was the same, lots of soggy pieces of popcorn. They also sell fudge and some other candies. I did not sample the fudge because I'm not a big fan of fudge. It was nice because they have a little containers where you can try the popcorn before you buy it. I may stop in again for the popcorn, to try all the different kinds but I doubt I will go for the Sodas. The lady behind the counter was really friendly and nice.

The concept is simple: take the farmers market, find the best of the best, and move it to a permanent, indoor location so that the amazing food producers in Utah have a place to sell their stuff year-round. And that's exactly what I saw today. Slide Ridge Honey. Salsitas Mendoza. Tagge's Famous Fruit. Yee-Haw Pickles. Crumb Bros bread. Pop Art Popcorn. All available there in the transformed shop space--home of an old dry cleaner, completely cleaned out and cute-i-fied. There's also a small selection of seasonal produce. Today it was beet greens, carrots, and radishes in the center fresh section. We'll see how that part shakes out. I'm told that there's a small kitchen going in, in the back. Not so much for serving food, but more so if any of the vendors need a space, they have it. Besides the non-food items, there were lots of great gifts and pretties. Bird houses, earrings, cheese making kits. But a few of the highlights. As with all new businesses, there will be kinks to work out. They'll fine-tune the flow of the store--you enter up front but park in the rear. That's just how it will work, but inside as they explore the layout and displays you'll want to spend more and more time there looking over the overwhelmingly Utah-grown and Utah-produced goods. It's local stuff, so don't go expecting bargain basement. That said, I think the prices were extremely reasonable for what you're getting. So I've no qualms about recommending this as a unique shop for gifts, specialty food, and all around Utah awesomeness.
