What a find! I thought the issue was the fuel pump and brought my truck to Dan. Dan was so thorough and even called to ask after diagnosing that the vehicle's issue wasn't the fuel pump but an electrical issue, if we still wanted to put in the new one. He was honest and could have just told us without our ever knowing, not replaced the fuel pump and we would have never been the wiser as the fuel pump was inside the gas tank. We could have saved a few hundred dollars but thought it wise with 195,000 miles on our truck, that we should put the new fuel pump in and Dan agreed. He found a few other issues that not diagnosed, could have left us stranded back in the forest. We will definitely use Dan again and have already recommended him to others. CORRECT ANSWER Having need of a mobile mechanic to finish installing my JBA 1830S Shorty headers on a 1990 Chevrolet K1500. After speaking with "Ron" on the phone I was left with the impression he knew what he was doing sufficiently to hire him. Once he discovered that a physical disability was the reason I called a mobile mechanic he decide to complain about every detail and how it added to the cost. I was going to Pay the $300.00 plus $100.00 if his performance was satisfactory plus another $100.00 if he exhibited espirit de corpe. His completion was, also, untimely as he took from Friday to Thursday to do a one day job. Thus, I was gouged for $290.00, the $690.00 minus the $400.00 I should have paid given satisfactory completion, however belated, but clearly absent the desired spirit de corpe. While I should receive a refund of $290.00 I would be satisfied with $190.00. Clearly, there is room for younger, more talented and more honest practitioners in the Mobile Mechanic Industry. In the end, the JBA's really do give that extra low end boost to get up the hill, but the next time I need service I will not call Ervin's Mobile Mechanics.

After getting towed to Automotion late at night on the recommendation of our tow truck driver, we crossed our fingers and put our keys into the key drop slot. We had to head back to the Bay Area before the store opened on Monday. But Jeff gave us a call, told us he'd found the problem, gave us a reasonable estimate, and got the work done fast. Found…read morethis place (by sheer accident) and could not be more pleased, the owner is super transparent and willing to explain certain things like parts, labor, and pricing with me. You can tell this place is very professional and they did and honestly great job, helped me learn what needed to be looked at and taken care of without sound like they were just trying to make a quick buck off me. He also was willing to bundle smaller easier items for free which somw places dont or wont do like my rear wi shield wipe blade, passenger door mirror cover, and license plate light blue. We also took care of the AC coolant and radiator system that needed work, they changed out the rear brakes/routers (they do both here at the same time each time for their service), diagnosed my horn issues (was a clockwork part in the wheel) and replaced my battery terminal. They are respectful, hardworking, diligent, honest, and kind. The prices are reasonable for the work they do, they charge a flat labor cost fee (10$ more and hour of you bring your own parts which is only for certain items so ASK first!) I was overall extremely pleased and will be going back and recommend them to anyone looking for a good car service place thats reliable and trustworthy.
