I'd say it's good if you actually need to be there. But otherwise, I think the niceness kind of…read moremasks the money grabbing behavior that I experienced. Based on my annual checkup, my general practitioner had noticed a very slightly positive result for autoimmune disease, so she recommended I go to a rheumatologist to get tested just in case. The copay was $73 (there's no fee if you pay with cash - I don't go to doctors often but I've never heard of a cash discount at one). The staff and doctors are super nice, and it's a nice building. It's adjacent to Culver City, after all. We reviewed my results in-person at the next appointment a couple weeks later. There was nothing indicating I had an autoimmune disease and basically no concerns because I wasn't displaying any symptoms, but they had me book another appointment. I honestly didn't know what I was going for (mentioning again that I don't really go to doctors because don't really have symptoms), but since I wasn't charged for the results appointment for visit #2, I just went with it. For this third appointment, I had to pay another $73 copay and I did bloodwork again. I was given my results over the phone this time. And then a fourth appointment was scheduled for a few months later. However, I've finally realized that they'll just keep scheduling appointments, have me pay these copays as well as Labcorp who interprets the bloodwork, probably until forever. Even though again, *I am not displaying any symptoms." It wasn't until my friend who actually has an autoimmune disease was like, "Why are you going? I literally only go when I have symptoms." So like I said in the beginning - I'm sure it's a great place if you actually need to go because you're experiencing pain, discomfort, and other symptoms. But if you're generally healthy and the only suggestions they have for you are to take Vitamin D and K12 pills, consume more Vitamin C, and ice your knee after you workout if you feel any slight pain, then you're probably good to sit this out. Also want to note that even if you make an appointment, you could be sitting for 45 minutes. I'll never understand that about doctor appointments. If you're 10 minutes late, it's a huge deal. But if you arrive on time and then you sit for 30+ minutes, it's just accepted. So in terms of parking pro-tips - there's parking across Venice in the neighborhoods and the parking garage a block away gives you one hour free. But again, that can be risky since the wait time is unpredictable.

He quickly diagnosed the problem, wrote me a prescription for Colchicine, and had one of his amazing staff members draw blood to test my uric acid levels. A few days later I received a personal call from Dr Peck informing me that I did in fact have high levels of uric acid levels and he promptly prescribed me Allopurinol to help me manage my gout. Over the course of the past year Dr Peck has worked wonders to guide me to much improved UA levels, and I am now at the point where I no longer have any dreaded gout "twinges" in my ankles and toes. All in all, Dr Peck is a wonderful professional and I would personally like to thank him and all of the staff at Pacific Arthritis Center for their help in getting me back to my normal, healthy and active self.

The person who answers the phone, which I'm inclines to think. It's his wife, because man is she HORRIBLE! She answers the phone as rudely as she can possibly be and tells me that I have to wait 3 to 4 days for an appointment. Well, I had called the week before, since I didn't hear from her, I called back four days later, and she tells me the same thing. When I tell her that I've been waiting for four days. She gets an attitude, so I hung up. I will be calling my group to get a new doctor and file a complaint. How dare they treat people who are in need of their services in such a callous and uncaring manner. I don't understand why they're in the "caring" business, when they clearly do not care at all..

At that visit, he also ordered a 24 hour urine collection. I came to him because of extreme fatigue and joint pain. My primary doc referred me to him. Back to the pills: they made me deathly ill. I called dr. Marshall with this news and he advised me to continue taking them. I read the side effects and discovered that the medication could shut my adrenal glands down. I decided to just not take them any more. Well, a little while after my call to him, he called advising me to get myself to the hospital in a hurry because the 24 hour urine that he had collected showed a problem with my kidneys. Long story shorter, I was in renal failure, After MRI I was dx with Addison's Disease - Adrenal gland insufficiency. I truly do believe that it was the Cortisol injections and pills that shut down my adrenal glands. When I changed doctors, the new doc sent a request to dr. Marshall for my medical records, which he has never honored. I have been on total Cortisol (the hormone that the adrenal glands produce) replacement since. I'm doing ok, but I have never let go of the fact that I believe that dr. Marshall overdosed me with Cortisol, and shut my adrenal glands down. And it is very suspicious to me that he has never responded to requests for my medical records. One star is one star too many. I finally said it.
