So I get there…read moreon time but I must wait 30 minutes to be taken in because, as the receptionist told me, they are triple-booked for all time slots--RED FLAG 1 I get taken back by Freddy, the person taking my initial symptom-information, and he's asking me whether I'm having trouble breathing, to which I respond, yes, I have pulmonary hypertension and I am visiting the doctor to get an approval for a thoracentesis as my file states. The person had no idea what a thoracentesis was--RED FLAG 2. If you go to a mechanic who specializes transmissions, and his assistant has no idea that a transmission needs transmission fluid, RUN! In addition, this person speaks so loud that you could hear him from the waiting room discussing your private medical details since the office he works from shares a wall with the waiting room. They place me in a room so I can wait for the doctor, and a medical student is sent in. At the moment, I had no idea who she was or what her qualifications were, but she has all my medical info so I play along. She starts asking basic questions about my condition, the medications in taking, and then says that she'd like to run some tests before the nurse practitioner comes in. So I take a closer look at her name tag, and it says Chapman university. I ask who she is and why she wants to poke and prod at me. She says she's learning and that it will help her--RED FLAG 3. I got mad but remained calm. I said I want to see the doctor so I can get my day going. It had over an hour by that time. The student goes and gets the nurse practitioner, some huge fat guy, who's making judgements about my breathing, stating that I look fine, to which I asked, have you seen me walk or have you listened to my breathing? He seemed to become irritated and attempted to listen to my breathing. I'm wearing several layers of clothing including a jacket, and the jerk places the stethoscope over my jacket and asks me to breathe deeply--RED FLAG 4. I play along, hoping that he'll just sign off on the approval for me to get my procedure done, but he says, your breathing sounds fine. I ask about signing off on my approval for my procedure, to which he replied that based on how my breathing sounded, it would be unlikely. Before I started cursing, I got up and left. IF YOU VALUE QUALITY SERVICE, AND IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH, DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE!!

I have been a patient here for a little over a year. In that year I have set appointments oly to…read moresow up and find out the doctor was not in the office and the staff forgot to call me the day before. Just this morning I showed up for my 9 am appointment that dr. Mitchell had me set up 6 on this ago only to sit n the waiting room for 1 hr 45 min before I had to go to another appointment. I was told the doctor was running late. She got in about 10:20. When I asked if I could come back after my next appointment I was told the doctor only had morning appoints today and would not work the afternoon. I can not express my frustration at the attitudes and complete lack of respect sown to patients. Needless to say I will be changing my physician immediately and fling a compliant with my insurance provider.

It's almost worklth the wait at this clinic because he's soo nice. I just wished the wait wasn't soo long, my Mom has early symptoms of memory loss & sometimes we can't do the wait. But she truly enjoys seeing Dr Sima as I do too. This is a hard biz right now medical insurance is changing & its gettin harder from Dr's to give the most to their patients.. but He's a great Dr .. and I would come to wherever he is Practicing....I pray that the over booking is not to much for him. The facility is incredibly clean, well organized, and has snacks and waters to grab on the go or if you're waiting for a few minutes. I had to travel for work and self inject which was a little overwhelming for me at first and Greg took the time to go over everything multiple times and practice with me until I was confident in doing so. They are thorough with doing follow up blood work to monitor levels and I feel great and will continue treatment. Highly recommend getting your levels checked, you almost certainly could benefit from treatment at the Man Clinic.

How does someone make a walk in appointment, drive 90 minutes through LA traffic just to be told that Greg was in the Valley where he lives looking for his birth certificate. Then I was told that all consultations are done by the phone ‍. If that's the case, why did Eddie give me a time and location for my appointment that nobody seemed to know about. Unbelievable BS!! And btw, they mention plenty of parking at the location, but google the area before you think you'll be fine.

Both Dr. Mellman and Physician Assistant Rebecca Pestle are knowledgeable and, what is so important for me, act as my professional advisors, not bosses. They hear me out, check out my symptoms and complaints and kindly suggest the course of action. Today I had an additional pleasant experience, drawing blood, which I am normally terrified of. Nurse Angie made the ordeal painless and uneventful. (See attached photo). I can wholeheartedly recommend this office to anybody who wants to get kind and competent medical care.
