I went here for just a simple retainer adjustment. My first visit, Dr. Bruck was very nice and cordial from answering all of my questions and adjusting my retainers very well and FREE of charge! I was highly satisfied with the experience the first time.
However, as I got home I realize that my retainers still need further adjustment because it was pressing my gum in painful way, so I arranged another appointment for my own safety.
Second time around, I could tell Dr. Bruck was getting frustrated with my retainer adjustment requests. I just wanted to ensure that I wouldnt have to make another appointment.
As I'm leaving, I receive an awkward look from Dr. Bruck and no goodbye. She was completely silent as I was trying to be friendly. She wasn't nearly as nice with me as she was with her other patients that had just left before me.
Perhaps she was annoyed that I was still having pain with my retainer. It's not as if I wanted to go back for an adjustment. However, I didn't want to be in pain with retainers that you have to wear for the rest of your life.
Then as I'm leaving, the front desk receptionist tells me that I'm going to be charged this visit for a retainer adjustment. However, the adjustment was free the first time for the retainer adjustment treatment.
I personally think I should be reimbursed for that fee. It really annoys me that this establishment can't be consistent with when they want to charge bills.
If you're going to charge me for each visit then do so. It's not fair to your patients to pick and choose when you will and won't charge with doing the same exact treatment.
In a nutshell, I feel that the only thing that would resolve my issue with this place is if I'm reimbursed, free of charge as I was the first visit. read more
