Staff is friendly but I can't say this is a great dojo…read more Maybe there has been a change to how tkd is taught nowadays but from what I see it's a very non chalant setup and teaching. There are just a crap load of students jammed into a small dojo. Kids are just ran through a meat grinder and belt ceremonies are a joke. There are kids who have no clue what they are doing and still get new belts. When I took tkd as a kid my instructors were strict and focused on training and technique. I don't see that here.

I know how long 4 years or 3 year's journey to earning a black belt is when it's hard and you have to overcome it . I practice and there's time I think I never made it to a new belt and I know how stressful that is when kids already made it to a new belt while I didn't . That when I know I had to practice and listen to music and relax and try to tell my body I will be fine and I just need practice . I try to be more positive instead of negative. When I'm negative i know I will get bad luck on something. So I try harder in those moments and I achieve myself stripes and I become more positive. Mistakes are just tiny and that I could fix them through out practice. I pray to god everyday to give me a good life and martial arts . I did and I love god and appreciate what I got when I practiced , positive , and pray. I would cry a little or just get nervous because of how hard it is but I master through it and I'm so proud of myself and West Coast Milpitas for being in my life and dedication. I would recommend here , it just that the instructors are welcoming and they are very nice and gentle . There practice needed in this karate system and it will fix mistakes . I know martial artist who show commitment will have to overcome challenging levels and intensity . It will be fine and just be positive and pray and try to practice . My son lost interest in Tae Kwon Do during Covid when his previous dojo closed down. I am glad Master Joseph open Valor sport and made him excited again to continue TKD. He is very good in teaching and explaining to kids step by step how to do the right technique. I have seen big improvement in technique and sparring. The whole time in class is full of useful learning and no wasted time. Covid tips : all the kids and adults are wearing mask the whole time and there is air purifier in the class as well.

Sir and Ma'am are experts in their Kempo teaching style, which is exactly what our daughter needed. Cantrelles Martial Arts has helped her grow not only as a martial artist but as a person. As a parent who has been in quite a few dojos, I have to mention one of my favorite things is this is one of the only dojos I've been to that DOESN'T smell like feet. Unfortunately, the journey at this particular location is coming to an end after October, but that's not the end of our journey with this amazing team. Though much more strict with these older children, the instructors are still motivating.
