I have nothing but good things to say about Garnet! I was curious/interested in getting lashes for the first time and reached out to my friend Cassidy that I knew worked at this location. She talked me through the process, what to expect, etc. and shortly after I made my first appointment and was SO happy with my results! I got my lashes done by Cassidy every few weeks for roughly a year I believe. Cassidy was always kind, professional, and attentive to what I wanted and needed. When I wanted to explore longer, more voluminous lashes, she heard me and made it happen. I work crazy hours, and Cassidy was always accommodating to get me in when she could. She wouldn't even judge me when I would fall asleep on the table, lol. But that goes to show what a relaxing, chill environment it is. When I became pregnant and my stomach started to grow and it was harder to lie on my back, Cassidy was more than accommodating and gave me pillows and a blanket to help make me more comfortable. The only reason I'm not getting my lashes done anymore is because my baby is due soon and it's an expense I gave up for the time being, but I plan on having them done again in the future and there's no one else I'd go to than Cassidy at Garnet. Personally and professionally, this is the place to go. Highly recommend to anyone considering getting their lashes done. I am a traveler to San Diego and had my lashes done at another salon. When I made the appointment, I was expecting that I would be paying the $140 rather than the $80 fill. However, when I came to my appointment (30 minutes early at the salon's request based on a cancellation), I was told that it would be $140, they would have to remove my previous lashes and I would not have a 100% full set replacement because of timing. My originally scheduled 1.5 hours would not be enough time. When I offered to return the next day to complete to 100%, I was told that would be an additional $80. I understand that not all lashes are applied equally and you want a quality product, but I should've been offered to return the following day for the complete service, not charged again. After leaving quite upset, I was told management would be contacting me. I have yet to hear from anyone. read more

Love her!! She knows what she's doing and my lashes are perfection. I'm hooked as I feel naked without them. Be prepared to sit tight for a while especially if you are getting them done for the first time. I have been going to Garnet Day Spa (formerly Spa By the Sea) for the past year, and I have to say that Danielle has done an awesome job on my lashes. I was a little hesitant to go to Amanda, but I'm glad I did because she did an amazing job! Both Danielle and Amanda are masters of their craft, and they make it a point to give their customers the exact look their customers have in mind. To all my asian ladies with monolids! Garnet offers a curl so curly it isn't even a curl--the "L-Curl". The L's are angled (almost at a 90 degree angle) so the lashes do not sit low. I also like to add a couple of "D-Curls" on the outsides of my lash lines so the angle isn't apparent. One of my friends has been having eyelash extensions for years and hers look really natural and nice. I wear false eyelashes or mascara almost every day and felt like I should try eyelash extension once. I found this place on Yelp and full set is $190 which I definitely think it's very pricey for what it is, given it only lasts 3-4 weeks. After two hours of work, I looked at the mirror and I was thinking to myself - oh no. Those extensions make my eyes look even smaller than before and I look sleepy with the extensions. It has been 8 days since I got my extensions done and 1/3 of the lashes came off already. First time and last time for eyelash extensions. read more

The lash experts (Amanda and Chantel) have been trained by Danielle which is AWESOME, because she is clearly a leader and an expert in her field. I usually see Amanda for my lash fill. She is great!! Love hanging with that girl for an hour! But lately I've been switching things up and seeing Chantel every other time, and I'm so glad I did!! She is so detail oriented and strives for perfection. I got the vanilla pumpkin spice pedi which included a scrub and a peel for a very affordable price. She was also considerate enough to ask if my feet are ticklish (they are, extremely) and used a special foot file that doesn't tickle but is very effective. That right there was the deciding factor that I would be coming back to see her! I had been with Garnet Lash Studios for over two years now. Below are the reasons why I think the business deserve another 5 stars review update: 1. Continual Improvement: Danielle (the business owner) over the years have really put her hearts into this studio. During the 2 years I have been with her, she has remodeled her studio providing a beautiful environment for her clients. She started with 1 staff in a small studio to now growing into a strong team. She constantly looking at ways to improve her service, business, and staff training, ensuring the very best are provided to her clients. 2. Only top quality product used for service: The studio has always insist on using the best product for their service despite it cost more for them. The studio only use medical grade glue, best lash product line and waxing product. One of the common complaint of doing prolong lash extension is loss of lashes / sensitivity, and I am very happy to say that my lashes look very healthy still after two years. 3. Accommodating: Being a long term clients, it's almost like having a long term relationship with someone. Over the two years, I experienced death in family, marriage, promotion, sickness, work downtime. This place has always been a sanctuary and I know I can count on them. When I experienced death in family or being horribly sick, switching jobs over 4 times resulting major schedule change, they always find way to accommodate me to make sure I am well taking care of. When I need a quick pick me up for events, wedding, reunion, last minute job interview, the studio always find ways to accommodate me ensuring that I look the best for my most important event even if sometimes it may be a last minute appointment request. They always make sure I look beautiful and encourage me when I am down. So thank you Chantel for taking care of me for the past 2 years. 4. Outstanding service: The service here has been very consistent and outstanding. They do not over attach lashes resulting breakage. They make sure the lash they used is tailor to client's need. In my case, I have thin/Asian lashes that can't really handle any weight and needs certain curvature. Chantel put in a lot of time and heart to design my lashes and ensure my lashes are attached properly. 5. Professional Staffs: All the staffs are highly professional and competent. Like any other business, the studio has experienced changing in staffs and cyclical business pattern. But I applaud them for constantly hiring the best people, kind, gentle, and sincere. The studio ensures the team is always well trained. Even when there is new staff or receptionist, it is very evident that Danielle / team take ample of time to make sure the new staff get up to speed quickly to provide the best service to the client. Walking into the studio, I can always feel a positive vibe. 6. Open to feedback and high emotional intelligence: This is the one area I would rate highest for this studio compare to any other business. There are only twice during the two years that my lash have some minor issues that requires some fixing. The owner and staffs have always very open to feedback. They would immediately schedule their client in to fix the situation and make sure clients walked out happy. They have very well established protocols/system to handle special situations and very open to feedback. They do not take things personally because they truly care about how their client feel instead just another number walking into their studio. I just got my lashes done today, and I must say I absolutely love them! I did 12/13s with the C curl with Rachel. She was AMAZING. Before I completely knocked out because its so relaxing and quite in there, Rachel was very informative in what to expect, how to take care of the lashes, and made sure to answer all my questions. She has been doing this for quite a while and she is very experienced. Rachel spent about two hours on my lashes and I have to say I am 100% satisfied with them. They are a little dramatic right now, but I think it will take some getting used to. The procedure is completely painless. The only downfall is that it takes so much time. It is also quite expensive, but if you want the right lashes you should def. invest in it. I will def. be back for my refills. read more

My aunt and I needed a mani and pedi - mani for her and pedi for me, so we scheduled one mani for her and one pumpkin spice pedi for me. We scheduled on a Monday morning due to our travel plans. Robbi was amazing! She did my aunt's nails first and then my pedicure. She has her own room, which was so nicely decorated and cozy with a couch-like chair for me to sit and relax as I chatted with my aunt and Robbi during the mani. The parts of the Spa I saw were very beautiful and clean, sleek and modern. The products Robbi used smelled amazing and I am going to look into the product company, which is out of Laguna Hills. The prices are a bit higher than your run of the mill mani/pedi place (I call them spa assembly lines or mani/pedi sweatshops), but we certainly enjoyed our boutique salon experience and agreed it was worth the price we paid. If you want to pamper yourself and enjoy a nice (longer ish) mani/pedi, I would recommend Robbi to anyone! This is likely the place I will go when my Aunt and I are back in PB. Robbi took her time to ensure our nails looked just perfect and I really appreciate that. Schedule with Robbi for a nice, relaxing, quite, rejuvenating escape for your next high-level pampering mani/pedi. And a final note on logistics of finding this place: They don't have very good signage on their building suite, so drive very slow on Garnet and good luck not passing it by. We had to do several loops before we found it since address numbers are tricky to find on Garnet. read more

Danielle and her work is nothing short of absolutely ah-mazzing. Having always loved and wanted huge lashes, I finally buckled and decided to say goodbye to my messy fake lash strips.
