A small but very good train station. We took our return train to Montreal from here late last year. The station has many shops and some cafes. The restroom was clean and bright. We were a little early for our train so we had some of our bags stored there for a couple of hours and went around the neighborhood. They give you a tag that you can show while collecting the bags. The station is a little artistic from outside and there is a bit of funky artwork around in the garden opposite the station. There are two entrances to the station - one is the main one on Rue Abraham Martin and then there is one on Rue de la Gare du Palais - so one may want to be cognizant of that when calling cabs or meeting someone. The train was on time and the check-in and the boarding process was very smooth. The staff was very kind and helpful. I am not sure about the parking but hopefully, there's a parking lot since the bus station is also adjacent to the train station. read more

Very nice clean train station with beautiful interior and exterior architecture in Quebec City, fairly close to the Old City and about a 3 hour trip from Montreal. As you wander the Saint Roch section of the city this is a good stop for public bathrooms on your way to the Farmer's Market and the Old City. The grounds and small park in front of the station are nicely landscaped with a central water fountain, surrounding gardens and seating areas read more

Quite clean. One place where you can eat. Two tracks. I had a discount applied to my ticket that I purchased online. Upon boarding the agent said the ticked is valid only for members of the Canadian army. It didn't say anything about that when we found the coupon. And he couldn't show me where this wording is either. New ticket had to be re issued at the higher price. read more

Clean, comfortable and quaint station in QC. We walked to Frontenac Hotel which is a pleasant walk though there are a couple hills. From there the old city is easily accessible by funicular. There's food available in the train station but we did not partake. We did not see any outlets for phone charging so plan ahead. read more

Coming from someone who is fascinated by rail systems, and frankly anything train related, this rail station was truly a sight to see for me. Immediately upon entering, I couldn't help but get the feeling that I was stepping into the early 20th century. The entire station looks and feels historic. From the art that lines the ceilings, to the walls that appear to be constructed long ago, I felt like I could see people walking around in suits and top hats. Aesthetics aside, the station is centrally located and a short walk to the main part of the city. It's near spotless and there are a good food options to choose from. The thing that could have been better was the bathroom. While not terrible, it was very small, thus giving no the feeling of being a bit gross and claustrophobic. This is definitely the most interesting train station I've ever been to. From a historical standpoint, it's amazing. From an ease of use standpoint, it does exactly what it's supposed to do and can be easily navigated. Coming from New York Penn Station, which I use everyday, I'm always amazed to see stations like this that provide a good user experience. read more

This train station is easy and expedient. It is close to the old City with only a 15 minute walk up the hill. Make sure to look in the old station when you come out. It's gorgeous. read more

Looks like an old school train station, I felt like I was coming out of Hogwarts Express. I took the train from Montreal to Quebec City and vice versa, took about 3 hours or so. The brick building made it look older than it actually is. There's some cafeteria if you're hungry while waiting to board, but this train station is pretty small, I only saw about 1 or 2 railways there by VIA RAIL. It looks very pretty from the outside and the train provides free WIFI. I love the idea of free wifi almost everywhere in Quebec, I wish LA does that same, only in my dreams. read more

Smells delicious once you enter from the wind storm outside. Sort of fake old timey, but I like the brick and the feeling of a central train station with a saloon in a small city. There is only one track and yet it manages to be a bit confusing, ah Quebec, je t'aime bien. The train ride from QC to MTL is quite beautiful, esp in the winter when you cross ice rivers and ride through tall evergreen forests whipped by snow. read more
