Do not let your trip to Quebec City go by without taking this Boat Tour--it was excellent! One of the highlights of my visit to Quebec City in September 2021. Very well narrated in English and French alternating by the talented host, lot's of history, beautiful scenery, they have drinks and snacks for purchase on board. Dress warm and for Wind! Your hair will blow off on the top deck. You will get a great view of the waterfalls which you should also make sure you visit separately. When I was there in September 2021 you needed to show proof of a vaccine to get on board. If you did not have a vaccine they allowed you to sit on the shoreline and watch the ship depart.

It is exactly as billed. It is an 90 minute boat ride up and down the river that gets you close to a lot of sights that you otherwise wouldn't be able to see. It is comfortable and has plenty of beer, wine and snacks. Plus it is incredibly affordable at only $49 per adult.

This is a great cruise with interesting narratives along the way. Wait staff will come around a couple times if you prefer staying in your seat throughout the cruise. If you feel like stretching your legs, then food and beverages are served inside the cabin, which is very spacious. On sunny days, do not forget to bring sunblock and a hat (the bigger the better because the sun will get your face and back of the neck as the ship changes its direction). Great pic opportunities will be presented!

Nice experience overall. The staff was very welcoming, attentive, and professional. Prices are in line with other water cruise companies. They offer a multitude of cruise options depending on your own time availability, budget, and interests. We chose the 4 hour dinner and entertainment cruise. I really enjoyed the time spent out on the water, the artistic performers, and party- like atmosphere and music. Next time, I would not opt to have dinner on board. Food was on the ok side, but did add a nice touch to the evenings experience. A small cafe offers ready made sandwiches and other foods as another option .

I did the 2pm boat tour on the Louis Jolliet, which docked on the St. Lawrence River at Quartier Petit Champlain. It's 1.5 hours and goes around a bit of the River. It's $39 but it you have a CAA/AAA card, there's $7 off. Whoohoo! We went up and down the St. Lawrence River a bit. We turned around just before the bridge and went by Montmorency Falls, which are taller than Niagara Falls. It would have been nice to have paused for a minute or two so everyone could take pictures ... especially since our guide told everyone to head to the right side of the boat so they could take pictures. Great day to be on the water ,,, it was sunny and not too chilly.

My family and I went on the Whale Watching Tour and had a great time. We saw humpback whales and seals. I really enjoyed the spectacular views of the Fjord. Our boat captain got us really close to a fall at the Fjord and a tower. The downside is the length of the tour, 6 hours to go and come back to Quebec, and the fact that the cruise sells fast food like if it were restaurant food.

We went on two different cruises through AML. The first was the dinner cruise and circus. Beautiful view as we ate, being close to the windows (even though it was really bright until the sun went down). The 5-course meal was delicious. There were two courses I didn't eat because I'm picky, but my husband tried everything and only disliked the chicken liver mousse. The bar got a little behind on making drinks, but the waitress was very apologetic and friendly, making sure we were happy. We finished eating and went out to the main deck for the show, which was entertaining. For the last hour of the cruise, we sat on the top deck and enjoyed the nighttime city view. My only complaint was that we were seated next to a family that had a loud and rambunctious child, whom they allowed to bang on the windows and run around the room. I feel like the staff could have politely asked the parents to have her sit down. The second cruise was the whale-watching express package. The brochure claims the bus ride is less than 2.5 hours, but it's really about 3 hours. There's a stop along the way for snacks, but we also brought some of our own too. It was a beautiful day and we saw lots of whales! But they do make the disclaimer that you may not get as lucky; the whales don't care how much you paid to see them! It does get cold on the boat, so dress appropriate so you don't have to buy an overpriced jacket in the gift shop. We were also told to bring food of our own despite signs that say no outside food or drinks allowed...but we weren't the only ones doing it. Overall we enjoyed both cruises! We created great memories to share with friends and family.

We stopped at the historical church of Basilique Saints-Anne-de Beaupre, the beautiful waterfall of Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, which was my favorite of the stops, a copper artisan shop (which I could have done without), and a charming chocolate shop in Ile D'Orleans which I loved. Our tour guide, Allen, was wonderful. He was full of knowledge, as his family is from the country side where he took us to, easy to listen to, and funny. The single deck bus was clean and comfortable. Each of the stops had clean restrooms. If you're looking for an inexpensive way to kill some time, learn a little history, and want to see the countryside, I recommend this tour, particularly with Allen as the tour guide.

We didn't expect four stops with just about 40 minutes left for each of the two places we really wanted to visit. The trip to the island was a surprise but it was just to see an ice cream / chocolate shop. Surely there were more things to see on the island. The copper demonstration was also a surprise. The artist was lovely and the cooper beautiful but is is definitely not something we were interested in. Another reviewer said cut this from the tour - I agree. I would have rather spent more time at St Anne's. The falls weren't as promised. The cable cars weren't running and the paths were still closed. So we viewed the falls from quite a distance. They should have told us the cable cars weren't operative. Very disappointing to say the least. St Anne's was lovely. We arrived just as mass started which was odd - we sat and joined services for a bit so we wouldn't disrupt the congregation. We should have arrived before or after mass not during mass. We had a car and could have saved $110 plus the bus driver tip and driven the short 15 - 20 minute drive ourselves. The falls and St Anne's are about 10 minutes apart. For the falls we would have parked at the top and walked across the bridge at the top (which was open) rather than view the falls from a block or two away. For the church, we would have arrived before mass so we could have walked around without disturbing the parishioners. If you don't have a car - this tour permits you to see St Anne's and the falls but I would make sure the cable cars are working (we were told they are closed until mid to late June 2023). Alternatively, if you don't have a car - I encourage you to check into uber. You could probably spend less for the three car rides and spend more time at St Anne's and at the Falls.

It was an odd visit to a tourist information center where one expects to find racks full of maps, brochures and restaurant flyers. The stark and empty room suggested that the information center was winding down after a busy summer tourist season. I saw a few posters on the wall but no brochures. Although I was the only visitor in the center, a woman gave me a number and directed me to stand on a non-existent line to speak to a representative. The representative gave me one map of Old Quebec and when asked, she had no brochures or flyers to give me. Note - some visitors might find the stairs and the heavy front door a challenge when visiting the tourism office.

Per the map on their website, the Levis-Quebec (City) run is actually one of the shortest crossings. The river gets a lot wider as it heads toward the Atlantic. The short 10 minute crossing is very tranquil and scenic. It's even more so because both Levis and Quebec City have their ports at the base of hills, from which the views are excellent. Commuters obviously use these ferries, and they also accommodate cars, which queue to embark. They also have seating areas for passengers and decks from which to observe the crossing. I do not recall if there was a food concession, because the crossing is so brief. There was some type of food concession at the riverside terminal, or quai, on the Levis side. By the way, Levis is pronounced "Leh-vee." While Quebec City will most likely be the focus of someone's tourist trek to the area, the waterfront footpath and bike path on the Levis side, along with some places to eat and charming neighborhoods, are worth checking out if you have time. The crossing is also reasonably priced.

The company asked if we would be available on July 11 or July 13 for rebooking (we were NOT available). Less than one hour later (1:09pm to be exact) we received another email stating "You can disregard my previous email. I was able to find a solution." We responded, "Thank you. We will plan on our original reservation." On the day of the scheduled event (July 12, 20024) we arrived early at the restaurant for our 11:30am tour. At 11:22am, seeing neither a tour representative nor other tour participants, I telephone the tour company but only got an answering machine message, spoke in French (which I could not understand). At 11:29am I sent an email to the tour company stating, "We are waiting at La Buche but see no guide. Please confirm today's tour is planned as originally scheduled." Around the same time we learned from the guide of a different food tour group (but with the same tour company) that the starting point of our tour had apparently been changed. WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED !!! At 1:10pm I finally received a call from a company representative who apologized for the situation. Our travel plans did not allow us to "reschedule" the tour, and by this time our disappointment and frustration at having been "stood up" led us to demand an immediate refund of the tour payment. We had believed this food tour would be a true HIGH POINT of our visit to Quebec City. Instead, it became a COMPLETE DISASTER.
