I saw Dr. Lashkari on Monday afternoon to check out one of my toes. He and the staff were friendly,…read moreand he seemed pragmatic and informative with diagnosing and then determining treatment as necessary. He took a sample of the toenail for testing (fungal, mold, yeast, or injury) and said the results should come back by Wednesday. I didn't hear back from him on Wednesday so I called the office on Thursday and left a message. I called back later in the afternoon and spoke to the front desk staff and was told my test results were in, but they couldn't review the results with me (the doctor had to do that) and he is only in-office Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I missed the doctor's call on Friday before 1pm (he left a voicemail indicating I should call back to review the results and next steps) and called back 20 minutes later only to be taken to the voicemail again. I tried calling again at 1:30pm a couple of times and eventually got through to the front office. This time they were willing to give me the results (why now?), but the doctor was no longer in the office and they wouldn't have him contact me. They said they would let him know on Monday that I had called and hopefully he'd get back to me then. Monday is a holiday, so I'm definitely not confident that I'll get results back without having to seek them myself.

First office changed floors no previous notice on old door advising everyone that they were now on…read morethe 2nd floor #206. Found new suite checked in appt was set for 1:50pm Sonja at the front window took the strip from the sign in page never said anything if there was a problem I sat there and watched others who came after me being taken care of and then one lady was told she came in the wrong date not today the 9th but the following week but said that they would try to squeeze her in, which they did then I finally said something. I walk up to the window and she starts jabbling about me that I was a no show on Tuesday, which I advised her was incorrect and said remember I"m the one that you spoke to that waited almost 3 mos for my referral and she was able to get me in on the 9th. Bottom line no record of me whatsoever. they finally call me in after calling someone else's name over and over when I just got done telling them the issue and was sent to a room. Dr, Varderessian is great but the front office had no clue what they were doing. After I leave a presciption was sent to CVS in which they called several times with no luck and asked me to get involved as the prescription was missing some info I then called the clinic and once again I was told that they resubmmitted a new one and that was Friday then today I receive another mssg from CVS that nothing came in. Had to call again and it was finally taken care of. Bottom line Dr, is great but front office needs to have a clue.

From the non-verbal clients to the ones that love to hold a conversation. The clients that are scared of some of the instruments he may use; he explains to them what he is going to do and assures them along the way. He always answers their questions as well as the staff that accompanies them. He is very knowledgeable about podiatric care and our clients will continue to go to him for their foot care needs. All of the front office and back office staff have been very attentive to our clients as well. Gardena Foot and Ankle Center is a great place to have your feet taken care of.

Joshua M Kaye, DPM - I had a great time with Louie! He sat on my lap for the whole appointment. We had so much fun!

I've had two babies but that does not scare me as much as having bunion surgery. To be fair, I had…read more4 bunions worked on at the same time - left and right bunion on each foot. Most of us wouldn't even know you could have that many right? I'm an avid researcher and I spend an inordinate amount of time mulling over the details before purchasing anything so you can imagine how much effort I put into finding a surgeon who's going to operate on me. I went to get a consult with another surgeon at a swanky office in Santa Monica who writes for medical journals on orthopedic surgery so I wasn't going to any schmo. He recommended breaking my foot in three separate places including my ankle and allowing that to heal for 6 months, do physical therapy for a couple more and then repeat on my other foot. Needless to say, I was not a fan of the Frankenstein foot approach and going through a process that will take over a year to complete. Not a lot of surgeons will do both feet at the same time. There's a benefit to it as a patient because it's one operation and one recovery time vs two. Doctors don't like that because they prefer to do two surgeries and get paid for two. Dr. Kaye does have a nominal fee for doing both at the same time but in all honesty, I would have paid at least twice that for all the hassle he saved me. I'm a busy working mom and I don't have the time to sit around because my feet are out of commission. I swear you will have minimal pain if you keep your feet elevated and iced as instructed by Dr. Kaye. By day 2, I was off prescribed meds and taking just Motrin. By week 2 I was walking on both feet in a soft boot, no cast. That's pretty amazing for someone who just had bone surgery. Another amazing thing about Dr. Kaye's office is Kathy, his office manager. She was on top of all my appointment reminders and she dealt with my insurance company directly so I didn't have to. It was great! Ten months later, I'm easing into my high heels and my only regret is not doing a Yelp review sooner. Thank you Dr. Kaye and Kathy for all you've done!

I highly recommend Dr. Kaye. I had a toenail issue that at first was treated by another doctor…read more While I am not a doctor I had a vision of how I wanted my toe to look for optimal and speedy healing. When I saw Dr. Kaye's website and the treatment words he used I knew he was special and the one I needed to see. So I went for a second opinion and Dr. Kaye exceeded my expectations. My anxiety around my healthcare issue was elevated from not getting the expected treatment the first time around and breastfeeding my baby. I wanted to heal and avoid medication if possible. Dr. Kaye had a very simple and effective plan that has put me on the right path. He gave me self-care instructions and a care package of the items I needed saving me a trip to the pharmacy and allowing me to go right home to rest with my baby. Now that is service with a smile and some good humor too! Thanks for all that you do!
