However, my insurance never received anything, and the office has not provided any paperwork I can use to file the claim myself (when I asked, they refused). The front desk couldn't help, the manager was unavailable, and I was repeatedly told different things. Even when I spoke directly with Dr. Darragh, promises were made (he claimed to be very behind on billing), but nothing happened. It's been extremely frustrating, and now I'm past my insurance's filing deadline with no documentation. The medical care itself was fine, but the administrative side has been disorganized and unhelpful. It's clear that once Dr. Darragh has your money, there's no incentive for him to submit to insurance on your behalf. I would caution anyone considering this office to be aware of the significant communication and billing issues.

I honestly don't know how to thank Dr. Remi Ajiboye and his entire team for giving me my life back…read more Before I met Dr. Ajiboye, I had been suffering from back pain for several years. I tried everything I could think of--massage, physical therapy, acupuncture, radiofrequency treatment--but nothing gave me lasting relief. Eventually, I could barely walk for five minutes before the pain and numbness would travel down my leg. I felt like I couldn't live my normal life anymore. When Dr. Ajiboye reviewed my MRI, he explained that the degeneration in my spine was compressing the nerves. I already understood that my condition was unlikely to get better without surgery, but I was still very nervous about making that decision. What I appreciated most was that Dr. Ajiboye never pressured me. He explained my condition and simply told me that if I decided to have surgery, he would be there to help me. That gave me so much confidence in him. The most incredible moment was after my surgery. The physical therapist helped me get up and walk, and I remember thinking, "Wait... where did my pain go?" After living with that pain for years, being able to walk without it was almost unbelievable. It has now been more than a year since my surgery, and I can happily say that I can walk, travel, and go sightseeing comfortably again.

After a simple back stretch caused my legs to go numb, I knew something was seriously wrong. From my first consultation, Dr. Remi Ajiboye impressed me with his thorough evaluation and compassionate approach. He carefully reviewed my history, explained my MRI and X-ray findings, answered all my questions, and discussed every treatment option without ever pressuring me into surgery. My surgery was complex, requiring replacement of two discs and a vertebra, removal of damaged bone, and additional stabilization from L4-L5 to S1. Although my recovery was complicated by sepsis and nearly a month in the hospital, Dr. Ajiboye remained deeply involved in my care. He visited me regularly, monitored my healing, evaluated my posture and walking, and kept both my husband and me informed every step of the way. Dr. Ajiboye is an exceptionally skilled surgeon who is also compassionate, respectful, and genuinely dedicated to his patients. His expertise and commitment gave me confidence throughout a very difficult journey. I highly recommend Dr. Remi Ajiboye to anyone needing spine surgery or specialized back care.

Most of us wouldn't even know you could have that many right? I'm an avid researcher and I spend an inordinate amount of time mulling over the details before purchasing anything so you can imagine how much effort I put into finding a surgeon who's going to operate on me. I went to get a consult with another surgeon at a swanky office in Santa Monica who writes for medical journals on orthopedic surgery so I wasn't going to any schmo. He recommended breaking my foot in three separate places including my ankle and allowing that to heal for 6 months, do physical therapy for a couple more and then repeat on my other foot. Needless to say, I was not a fan of the Frankenstein foot approach and going through a process that will take over a year to complete. Not a lot of surgeons will do both feet at the same time. There's a benefit to it as a patient because it's one operation and one recovery time vs two. Doctors don't like that because they prefer to do two surgeries and get paid for two. Dr. Kaye does have a nominal fee for doing both at the same time but in all honesty, I would have paid at least twice that for all the hassle he saved me. I'm a busy working mom and I don't have the time to sit around because my feet are out of commission. I swear you will have minimal pain if you keep your feet elevated and iced as instructed by Dr. Kaye. By day 2, I was off prescribed meds and taking just Motrin. By week 2 I was walking on both feet in a soft boot, no cast. That's pretty amazing for someone who just had bone surgery. Another amazing thing about Dr. Kaye's office is Kathy, his office manager. She was on top of all my appointment reminders and she dealt with my insurance company directly so I didn't have to. It was great! Ten months later, I'm easing into my high heels and my only regret is not doing a Yelp review sooner. Thank you Dr. Kaye and Kathy for all you've done!

He crippled me so severely that I live in agonizing pain every day for the rest of my life. After he did surgery, he should have done an emergency surgery within 48 hours. The problem was obvious and he did nothing, which caused this irreversible severely painful widespread nerve damage. Don't trust him. If you do, you will regret it. I have what is called bilateral foot drop, caused by him installing an artificial disc at L5S1 wrong. Every time I stand my pain level is immediately 10, from the surgery he did in 2006, which is the least of my problems. He put the artificial disc on top of my sciatic nerve. I'm lucky I don't have to wear a diaper for the rest of my life, because that's what usually happens with this kind of problem. He never had to pay the consequences for what he did to me because I was too crippled to go to his trial. I'm too crippled to even use a wheelchair and have to live out the rest of my life in bed. Not long after the surgery I was in his office. He snuck up behind me and quickly jabbed a needle into my back with cortisone. I had made it perfectly clear to him that I had a severe allergy to cortisone. I have an anaphylactic allergy to cortisone and my boyfriend had to rush me to the hospital. He is a dangerous man. It took 6 months to heal but I did and he was there every step of the way keeping a close eye on my progress. After two foot surgeries I was able to do this, and not only walk barefoot but do Zumba/Dance. We noted that in the future one other toe may need attention and it did three years later. He again asked me my goal . I answered -to dance without pain. He agreed that was a "good" goal and obtainable. It is now almost three months after surgery and I am getting there. His staff is professional and efficient new office clean and rarely do I have to wait to see him. Hopefully I won't need more surgery but if I did Dr. Kim would be my surgeon. Catherine (Kay) P

This Is An Honest Review Of Archstone Foot & Ankle Institute, 2780 Skypark Dr, #100, Torrance, CA…read more90505 I broke a bone in my Right Foot. I went to my local urgent care and had 2 X-rays taken of my right foot and they showed the broken bone. The urgent care doctor sent me a referral notice to Archstone Foot & Ankle Institute in Torrance Ca. I called the Archstone Foot & Ankle Institute and talked to some woman in the front office. I told her that the urgent care doctor referred me to her office and he sent her office a copy of the X-ray and all my personal information. She told me that she Did Not receive any information about me. I asked her to set me up with an appointment with a doctor. She told me that she scheduled me to see Dr. Alexander Perez at 11:30am the next day. 2 hours later I received a phone call from this same woman in the front office, she told me that Dr. Alexander Perez didn't deal with my type of injury. She then told me that she scheduled me to see Doctor Chul Kim at 11:00am the next day. She apologized for setting me up with the wrong doctor the first time. Then she told me that she found the copy of the X-ray and all my personal information that the urgent care doctor sent to her office. I showed up for my appointment and talked to one of the women at the front desk. I explained to her that I had an appointment with doctor chul Kim at 11am and that she should have a copy of the X-ray and all my personal information in her office. She looked on the computer, then talked to a couple of her co-workers at the desk and told me that she has NO information about me. She gave me 3 papers and asked me to fill in all my personal information in the form. I complained to her that she should have had all of this information. She asked me to sit down and fill out the forms. After dealing with the Idiots at the front desk, I was finally able to see Doctor Kim. Doctor Kim took a quick look at my foot (He never touched my foot) and told me that he was going to go check out my foot X-ray. I told Doctor Kim that his office staff told me that they had NO X-ray, He told me that he has my foot X-ray in his office. He walked out. While he was out looking at the X-ray, I saw 2 little bugs walking across the floor. I told one of the women staff members about the 2 bugs and she said "Where Did You See The Bugs"? I told her that they are under a table in the corner. She said "I'll Kill Them Later". I got up and limped over to the table and pulled it out away from the wall and she walked over and Stepped On Them Both. She acted like it was no big deal. She left and Doctor Kim came in and said "I looked at your x-ray and I have decided to let your body heal it". He said he could do surgery but that would do more damage to my foot. He told me that he wanted me to come back in 2 weeks so he could take another X-ray of my foot to see how it's healing. I Would Never Recommend This Facility! This is the most Unprofessional & Unorganized office staff that I have ever dealt with. I saw Dr. Kim and he seemed to know what he was talking about but was in a hurry. My primary doctor told me that Dr. Kim is a good provider.

He took a sample of the toenail for testing (fungal, mold, yeast, or injury) and said the results should come back by Wednesday. I didn't hear back from him on Wednesday so I called the office on Thursday and left a message. I called back later in the afternoon and spoke to the front desk staff and was told my test results were in, but they couldn't review the results with me (the doctor had to do that) and he is only in-office Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I missed the doctor's call on Friday before 1pm (he left a voicemail indicating I should call back to review the results and next steps) and called back 20 minutes later only to be taken to the voicemail again. I tried calling again at 1:30pm a couple of times and eventually got through to the front office. This time they were willing to give me the results (why now?), but the doctor was no longer in the office and they wouldn't have him contact me. They said they would let him know on Monday that I had called and hopefully he'd get back to me then. Monday is a holiday, so I'm definitely not confident that I'll get results back without having to seek them myself.
