If there is one drawback to this office is that sometimes you will get in later than your appointment time, however Dr. Rubin still takes the time necessary to treat you and does not rush people in and out of the office. Very personable doctor, office staff is nice and attentive. My mother's treatments were covered by her insurance/ Father-in-Law had the wrong insurance so he was a cash patient, however the costs were reasonable and not excessive. I would recommend Dr. Rubin for all your foot and ankle care issues.

Dr.Rubin verbally abused my mother, his patient who is already suffering, for accidentally leaving a small twig inside her cast which she used to itch her leg.My moms leg was so dry due to the cast that she needed itch with something that was tiny enough to go through.Dr.Rubin became insane and irritable because he had to change her cast. He started yelling at my mom for wanting to itch her leg. While breaking her cast, he handled her already broken foot very harshly (I believe on purpose). My mom was screaming in pain. Not only does he abuse his patients, but he constantly abuses his staff infront of everyone which is disgusting. This doctor needs to retire or give up his license because he is a danger to the public. Please people do not go here, you will get emotionally and verbally abused!

I walk up to the window and she starts jabbling about me that I was a no show on Tuesday, which I advised her was incorrect and said remember I"m the one that you spoke to that waited almost 3 mos for my referral and she was able to get me in on the 9th. Bottom line no record of me whatsoever. they finally call me in after calling someone else's name over and over when I just got done telling them the issue and was sent to a room. Dr, Varderessian is great but the front office had no clue what they were doing. After I leave a presciption was sent to CVS in which they called several times with no luck and asked me to get involved as the prescription was missing some info I then called the clinic and once again I was told that they resubmmitted a new one and that was Friday then today I receive another mssg from CVS that nothing came in. Had to call again and it was finally taken care of. Bottom line Dr, is great but front office needs to have a clue.

I couldn't walk very far and the pain was negatively affecting daily life. I had already had surgery on my right foot for calcium deposits a few years earlier (by another doctor) when I went to my initial consultation with Dr. Park. My expectation was that he would take x-rays, hear my history, and together we would agree to make plans for surgery. In fact, I asked for surgery within minutes of our appointment. Xrays revealed that I had bone spurs AND plantar fasciitis. Surgery seemed like a no brainer. But NO! Instead, he asked if I could be off my feet for a few weeks to allow my foot to heal. Of course not- I have small children. So we went back and forth and he counseled me on adopting an entire protocol which, to be honest, I was not interested in. If I wanted to see him a second time, I had to agree to do all the things that he advised. He laid out a very boring plan that would help me in the long run and without surgery. We sparred during that initial consultation and I questioned his bedside manner and my combative spirit as a patient. He put my foot in a brace and warned that my recovery with rehab would take some time. I left his office vowing to not return. A week later, I looked at the papers he gave me and started the exercises, the cold water bottle treatments, and threw out my bad shoes. It took about five months...but it worked. The pain is completely gone. Today I run, jump, and have lost 27 pounds. The best way to acknowledge him as an effective podiatrist is to publicly thank him for setting me straight two years ago. If you need an honest assessment and a plan that WORKS, he's your guy.

This Is An Honest Review Of Archstone Foot & Ankle Institute, 2780 Skypark Dr, #100, Torrance, CA…read more90505 I broke a bone in my Right Foot. I went to my local urgent care and had 2 X-rays taken of my right foot and they showed the broken bone. The urgent care doctor sent me a referral notice to Archstone Foot & Ankle Institute in Torrance Ca. I called the Archstone Foot & Ankle Institute and talked to some woman in the front office. I told her that the urgent care doctor referred me to her office and he sent her office a copy of the X-ray and all my personal information. She told me that she Did Not receive any information about me. I asked her to set me up with an appointment with a doctor. She told me that she scheduled me to see Dr. Alexander Perez at 11:30am the next day. 2 hours later I received a phone call from this same woman in the front office, she told me that Dr. Alexander Perez didn't deal with my type of injury. She then told me that she scheduled me to see Doctor Chul Kim at 11:00am the next day. She apologized for setting me up with the wrong doctor the first time. Then she told me that she found the copy of the X-ray and all my personal information that the urgent care doctor sent to her office. I showed up for my appointment and talked to one of the women at the front desk. I explained to her that I had an appointment with doctor chul Kim at 11am and that she should have a copy of the X-ray and all my personal information in her office. She looked on the computer, then talked to a couple of her co-workers at the desk and told me that she has NO information about me. She gave me 3 papers and asked me to fill in all my personal information in the form. I complained to her that she should have had all of this information. She asked me to sit down and fill out the forms. After dealing with the Idiots at the front desk, I was finally able to see Doctor Kim. Doctor Kim took a quick look at my foot (He never touched my foot) and told me that he was going to go check out my foot X-ray. I told Doctor Kim that his office staff told me that they had NO X-ray, He told me that he has my foot X-ray in his office. He walked out. While he was out looking at the X-ray, I saw 2 little bugs walking across the floor. I told one of the women staff members about the 2 bugs and she said "Where Did You See The Bugs"? I told her that they are under a table in the corner. She said "I'll Kill Them Later". I got up and limped over to the table and pulled it out away from the wall and she walked over and Stepped On Them Both. She acted like it was no big deal. She left and Doctor Kim came in and said "I looked at your x-ray and I have decided to let your body heal it". He said he could do surgery but that would do more damage to my foot. He told me that he wanted me to come back in 2 weeks so he could take another X-ray of my foot to see how it's healing. I Would Never Recommend This Facility! This is the most Unprofessional & Unorganized office staff that I have ever dealt with. I saw Dr. Kim and he seemed to know what he was talking about but was in a hurry. My primary doctor told me that Dr. Kim is a good provider.

Even when I spoke directly with Dr. Darragh, promises were made (he claimed to be very behind on billing), but nothing happened. It's been extremely frustrating, and now I'm past my insurance's filing deadline with no documentation. The medical care itself was fine, but the administrative side has been disorganized and unhelpful. It's clear that once Dr. Darragh has your money, there's no incentive for him to submit to insurance on your behalf.
