I saw him through Kaiser and he was very kind and thorough. He requested better xrays so he could see what was happening. I have a Middle facet subtler joint coalition giving me some pain after a hike. I am nervous about what this means for the future in my sport, but feel I can ask follow up questions and that I was heard. I was pleased with the ease of making an appointment and also the reminders that followed. There was plenty of street parking when I arrived at the Inglewood office. The office staff was friendly and they promptly took my insurance info and returned it to me as I was filling out the intake paperwork. Dr Kahen was available quickly, no waiting. He knew exactly what the problem was when he looked at my foot, which he described to me before I said anything to him. Exactly! UPDATED 2/16/18: Wow, based on the response it looks like I dodged a bullet not coming here. While they posted a portion of the screenshot, they did not post the entire screenshot. I've now attached that here (since the messenger app on phone only shows one "seen" at a time, I'm sharing both). As is clear and exactly as stated in my original review, I messaged them first on Monday 1/22 (seen but no response), again on Tuesday 1/23 (seen but no response), and then they conveniently responded shortly AFTER I posted this Yelp review on Wednesday 1/24. A better response from this business would've been an apology for the oversight, not a misleading partial screenshot to imply that I have somehow been dishonest or "defamatory" in my review. For the lack of integrity here I've reduced my review to one star. ------------------ The doctors may be amazing, as previous reviews seem to indicate, however I would not know due to this facility's lack of responsiveness. After reading the reviews here, I reached out to the office with a simple question regarding whether or not they handle pediatric podiatry. I've tried calling the office three times over three days, and each time there's been no answer (goes to a message then voicemail). So then I looked up their Facebook page and messaged my simple question there (it's just a yes or no answer). My message on Monday was read Monday but never answered. I figured maybe they got busy or distracted or whatever, so messaged the same question again on Tuesday. Once again, it was read but never answered. It is now Wednesday afternoon and I still don't have the courtesy of a response. If this facility cannot even be bothered to respond to a potential patient, it's not the facility for me. read more

Brought my mom in to see Dr. Kahen. Was extremely pleased with the wait time in the wait room, we came in and almost immediately went in to see the doctor. He was extremely knowledgable and patient. I have an extreme case of left chronic plantar fasciitis as I love playing basketball. I have seen multiple podiatrists in the greater LA area (since I recently moved here from Orange) and all with great reviews so I was initially skeptical approaching a new podiatrist. As I approached Dr. Kahens office, I found that the staff was extremely nice and approachable. Dr. Kahen actually spent the time to thoroughly explain his diagnosis and possible procedures for my specific case. Where the other 2 podiatrists gave me the typical stretch and rest answer, he actually was able to relate to my experience. Its been a month now and I can honestly say I have had 70% improvement of my condition. For now, I have scheduled follow up appointments and will be referring family and friends to him. Short Review: Dr. Kahen is a very knowledgeable and skilled doctor. I highly, highly recommend him for any podiatric (foot or ankle) problems. Long Review: I was playing basketball one night and jammed my big-toe nail (I didn't even know this was possible). My nail turned black and blue within seconds. It was extremely painful and I thought I might have broken my toe. The night of the injury I went to the emergency room of a local hospital (not Legacy Foot and Ankle Center with Dr. Kahen) in hopes of getting some treatment. The doctor took one look at my toe and told me he wanted to remove the nail. I was not willing to do this without getting a second opinion. The next day, I made an appointment to see Dr. Kahen at Legacy Foot and Ankle Center, and I'm so glad I did. I got an appointment that day and was able to see Dr. Kahen within minutes of getting there. Dr. Kahen is a very personable and friendly individual, which you don't get with some doctors, so that was a huge plus. Unlike the first doctor, Dr. Kahen carefully examined my toe and nail, being exceptionally cautious to not hurt me. He clearly explained to me what had happened to my toe, and why my toenail was black. Unlike the first doctor who simply wanted to remove the nail, Dr. Kahen assured me that my nail was in good condition and was still attached to the nail bed, so nail removal was not necessary. He explained that the reason why I was experiencing so much pain was due to the pressure caused by the pool of blood under my toenail. Dr. Kahen provided me with a few different options for treatment, including his personal recommendation. At this point, I fully trusted Dr. Kahen and went with his recommended treatment to put a small hole into the nail to drain the blood. This was a quick and painless procedure and relieved the pressure and pain immediately. As Dr. Kahen bandaged my toe, I asked him a ton of questions, and he answered them very clearly and knowledgably. Ultimately, I would highly recommend anyone with foot or ankle (or big-toe nail!) problems to see Dr. Kahen at Legacy Foot and Ankle Center. read more
