This is a great little outlet store in the area They often have extra discounts on their items. When I went it was 25% off. I bought two cube shelves. They were cheap and exactly what I needed. They even put the shelf into the car for me. When they saw me carrying it over to the register they stopped me and said they could have someone help me. I did appreciate that. This store does have some decent deals. But you're better off going to Target or Marshalls. I was pretty upset because on their Instagram they posted several items that were on sale in the store. So I contacted them asking about a particular item that I wanted to buy, and I told them to hold it for me. Once I arrived at the store, and drove 40 minutes to get to. I asked the cashier and they said the item sold. I was really upset & ended up leaving because I just needed that one item for work. I've shopped at Garcia's a handful of times and had a good experience but this time I was really disappointed with the customer service. I hope the owner checks yelp reviews. I have been coming here for years. I have to be honest when I see the owner there I cringe at her being behind the desk. When the other two people are there. They are always very friendly and helpful. The owner is always miserable. I have heard her multiple times yell at people over the phone. I asked her once about a product she listed on lnsta. She rudely replied "well if you don't see it, it's not here" as if the question bothered her. She could have easily recommended another product if she wanted a sale. From the attitude and lack of interest maybe she cares less about sales? To the owner: remember there are multiple places to shop. If a person chooses your location BE NICE! This place has been here for a little over awhile now since I started working around the area around a year ago. I really like going inside to see what kind of things I'll find since new items seem to flow in every so often. They offer furniture, home decor, gardening wares, school supplies, clothing, bedding, toys and even items for your health and beauty needs. I have gotten a couple of blind boxes in the toy section since I love collecting those kind of toys for really cheap. I have even gotten an air pump to use for floaties, which I haven't tried yet and I think a couple of other small things. Prices are good and they accept cash or credit card, but do charge you a small extra fee when you use card. I think you have like 30 days or something to return your item if it isn't working properly as long as you have the receipt. read more

I enjoy coming to Garcia's Outlet. They always have great deals, whether or not there are extra discounts. They have so many different types of items, from baby clothes to furniture to cleaning products, among many other things. A lot of the items here are Target brands, all of which are brand new. They post new items on Instagram often, which often drives me to take a look and shop around. They almost always have a bigger sale on holiday weekends so that's when you're likely to score the best deals. Garcia's Outlet is a hidden gem in Avocado Heights. My wife and I love coming here at least every month to see what's on sale. We bought many things here and definitely appreciate the good quality. From a chair to a pop socket, the price is unbeatable! Not to mention if you follow them on Instagram they always announce the newest products and they always have good discounts too! One time they had their anniversary sale and also a customer appreciation sale. The owner was so nice, she had free tacos and drinks included with purchase. There are such a wide variety of items and if you search you will find hidden gems! The best thing brought was a pop socket for $5 and Native cable chargers $10-15. We did also buy a coffee machine at one time, but it was crack, we returned it. No money back but they were nice enough to give us store credit. read more

First off, let me start by saying this IS a family operated and owned business. Unfortunately, the daughter of the owner who is poorly appointed the welcoming face when you walk-in is hardly welcoming. In fact, she makes you want to walk back out! She always seems bothered, and bitter. It's clear she dislikes her job. The son and the owner herself should consider being the welcoming face as they are much more courteous and welcoming. Having said that...-I write this review as I had a bad experience with one of the sisters of the owner and this daughter. And well, maybe the owner herself as I was lead to believe that she was in the back of the store making decisions that lead me to write this review. So this is what happened... I purchased a bookshelf, paid for it and planned on returning for it. I Left my name and number to hold. Unfortunately, I had truck trouble and had other issues come up, and I did not pick up the item for over 6 months. Let me preface my story by noting that I have purchased and visited this outlet MANY times. Have had conversations with the owner, son, and owner's sister/s... being that this is a community, small business support is huge, I made my presence known as a supporter. Believe me when I say they are familiar with my face. I never had "conversations" with the daughter as she is never open to any, and always with a fuchi face...nevertheless she knew I was a constant returning buying customer. Anyway.... When I was finally able to pick up my bookshelf, I walked in and was coldly greeted ( no surprise) by the ever so bitter daughter.... who quickly gave an even more negative disposition and attitude towards me when I mentioned I was there to pick up my PAID purchase. Yes, I know am picking up my paid purchase months after I've paid for it (Mind you they have had my name and phone#, and yet never followed up with a call advising of any deadline for product pick up)...but I'm there now. Bitter daughter advised that I could not have my product as I had a partial receipt. I asked her to let me speak and explain to her mom what I was there for. She denied it was her mom, and that she was the owners daughter...although she is her daughter...I can respect that...she walked to the back room to HER MOM, who must have told her that I had to be physically be identified by the aunt who sold me the bookshelf (due to partial receipt since it has been so long) , again ---they had my name and number in a book, and on the bookshelf that could have verified me). I had to wait an additional 25 mins for this aunt who when finally arrived walked in with SUCH AN ATTITUDE ( her niece called her while they made me wait and given her a heads up that I was there to pick up my PAID bookshelf). She addressed me by saying " you mean the shelf you bought over a year ago?!?!?!" I replied: Not quiet the year, but yes that's the one. She still said " I need to verify with Martha if you can take it" I said " I'm confused, your niece said you just needed to identify me, and I can take the shelf" she said " I can't make that decision, Martha has to approve it". I'm thinking...Approve what?? That I can take my paid product?? I was given SUCH AN ATTITUDE. I was made to feel as if l was taking/ stealing something from them that I had paid for!! At one point the Aunt's body language and tone were so rude. I had to asked her " why are you making me feel like I'm stealing something from you?!?!" She asked ME to lower my tone. And I asked her again the same question to which she responded " if you go loud I go louder".... At this point I have to say I felt even more uncomfortable, and uneasy. To avoid losing my own temper because I had my daughter with me: I told them to keep the bookshelf that I already paid for. I didn't want it anymore!!$60 is not worth being treated like a thief, and have me beg to take what I paid for!! They knew very well the bookshelf was paid for by me, it is legally mine. Maybe they need the money, maybe business is bad, and needed to resell it?? That's the only reason I can think of as to why they gave me such a hard time for attempting to pick up my paid product. Even after being asked to sign a paper acknowledging that I picked it up, I left the bookshelf. I was treated so badly, $60 is not worth any humiliation. They can keep it and resell it if they need it that bad.I am just wondering if re-selling, and or keeping a paid product is illegal? It is shame that this was not handled in a professional manner on their part. All they had to say: was we no longer have it, or here you go, sorry you had car trouble...When you are in the retail business, customer service is KEY. And if the daughter, is reading this review. ...I was just told by the owner (husband) "You're not that special lady" WOW! Me the customer is not special?!? So sad and unfortunate that a minority owned business can have that approach towards a new spending customer. After being excited to have found an outlet in the area. I stopped by 3 or 4 times during lunch (spent $300+ in nick-nacks) to browse and purchase, NOT AFTER TODAY. Upon reaching the cashier (lady owner) she missed charging me a pair of shoes that I had lastly placed on her counter. She said she'd have to charge me the $1 transaction fee once AGAIN, even though it is a $1, I mention, "you're not really going to charge me the $1 again"??...I didn't think she would and she did. The fact that the store would charge me the $1 transaction fee for her missing the shoes is just poor, poor service. (and pls it's not the dollar, its the principle)...coming from the business side that promotes and teaches exceptional CUSTOMER SERVICE, this was just unacceptable. I even said, "you would be willing to lose a customer for the dollar and she agreed, YES". Then (Male Owner) approached counter and mumbled like a coward, wouldn't even look me in the eye, just talking bad beneath his breath as he walked out the store. I told lady owner "....and you let your husband insult customers" when merely I was sharing that no $1 dollar is worth a bad experience and the loss of a good potential customer...So to the owners, "yes, I am a special lady" one that contributed to your sales, the sales that pays for your business bills, rent, home and food...a lesson to you, customer is KING anywhere and ALWAYS....I still wish you success and hope that if anything, that you LEARN from this!.... I like this store and I am always in support in Family own businesses, however the rate I'm giving them is merely because in my opinion, I feel this isn't exactly an outlet price store. This is a great spot to find one of a kind deals. My parents are regulars and introduced me to this store. I was pleasantly surprise on the selection of items and discounts offered! They have great findings with great savings. I was able to purchase a Keenz wagon from them. These are very expensive and was sure I was going to save up for it Luckily Gracia's had one with such great savings and we were able to purchase it! I shop at Garcia's Outlet for their great deals and excellent customer service. I visit the store almost every weekend and have purchased furniture, household goods, diapers, toys, clothes, shoes, etc. When I purchased a desk and wagon that would not fit in my Corolla, the Garcia family graciously held my large items until I could use my son's truck to haul it home. In addition, both my daughter and son-in-law have become regular shoppers purchasing baby and general items. I have shopped at Garcia's Outlet since they opened in the center before and after the store fire. Their discount prices are the reason I continue to shop at their store, as well as their great customer service. read more
