We've been with this office for 4.5 years. When I call they just answer with "Hey Annie" -no need to look up my info because they know me! I can come up with the most persnickety questions, they're always answered. I can email at night, and I'll get a response half the time -to non-emergency things. We just bought a car and while I was looking I could call at anytime and get quotes for the cars we were looking at (I did like 10 times). The last time I did, I reached the after hours department where they quoted me $160 for a 2014 Prius C, turns out they didn't check it with my account/record and rates for new cars are always more. Chris called me the next day to let me know it was actually $280, he helped me lower it by increasing the deductible. All-in-all we are now paying $100 less than we were on our previous car. He also mentioned it's due to be reduced next year with my loyalty discount and with some stuff that'll come off my record. He even had his boss call to apologize for the price mix up. Earlier this month Chris notified me my license was suspended... he emailed me after hours to let me know how much time I had to get it cleared up. Luckily I was able to pay for the ticket and Statefarm didn't have to cancel me. Other companies would have just dropped me -without notice in some cases. I'm not sure we're ever leaving statefarm or this office. Customer service is so tailored to us, I feel like we should be paying 2-3 times more for just that.

Hi All, if you're on here you're probably trying to figure out if you should consider/trust/go with…read moreThe Matloff Company to help broker your insurance. I'll keep it short since my sentiments are shared by many other positive Yelp reviews already. My wife and I have worked with Alex for the past few years. He is thorough, patient, informative, resourceful, on-top-of-it(is that a thing? yes). We did most of our communication via email and only occasionally needed to speak on the phone when it just made more sense with some back and forth questions. This year, we are actually going with a policy via my company. Not b/c of anything Alex couldn't get for us, it just made more sense since some things are harder to obtain if not part of a company shared-plan. I'll spare the details. Here's an example of why I decided to go onto Yelp and write this review. Even though we are not proceeding with Alex and Matloff to broker our insurance this year, he continued to provide support and customer service. How? We hadn't cancelled the old policy in time before the charge hit our account. I let Alex know and he contacted the insurance company and requested a refund check. Reminder: we had already let him know a few days prior that we were not needing insurance through him for 2017. In case that's not clear what he was doing... he was taking care of us STILL! Anyway. Alex is awesome. Insurance is a pain in the butt and hopefully rarely needed. But Alex Kim makes it as painless as possible.

Highly recommended!…read more I wish I could give Rob Seate and Maverick Insurance Agency 10 stars - so honest, kind, knowledgeable, and easily reachable. I contacted him because my car insurance is going to jump by $700 once I re-up my policy. Since my renters insurance and umbrella insurance are about to expire, I thought it would be good to speak to a local insurance agent in my neighborhood (Hollywood, West Hollywood - as opposed to a random website) about bundling them and also reviewing what my insurance needs truly are. I've just bought policies online without fully understanding what I was buying, or if it was enough. Rob was so honest - he told me that shopping for new insurance right now is pretty chaotic (long story, but it's a mix of the insurance industry, politics, post-pandemic, wildfires and of course the cost of everything in LA and California are just going up and up (you can google California's insurance crisis). He told me to keep the insurance that I have because it's going up about 25% for pretty much everybody and that even if I found something cheaper, it could be that they just haven't yet raised their rates. In other words, in 6 months, I'd likely get hit with a massive increase anyway. He also educated me about how car and renters insurance work, and how they interact with umbrella insurance, etc. And in 10 minutes, even though he didn't feel he could help me in my particular situation right now, he taught me more about insurance and protecting my assets than I ever knew. I can only imagine how fantastic an agent he is for people he works with, as so many of the other reviews mention. He told me if I still need help or have questions to feel free to circle back, and I gladly will.
