I heard the state farm office on Mariposa in Altadena near Lake ave. was destroyed in the eaton fires; I am sorry to hear that; I visited the STate Farm office but the agent and staff did not seem too friendly; the prices that they quoted to me were excessive and far too high. Another great State Farm experience just 3 days after Christmas 2024...my spouse's car was parked in front of our home & was hit by a car & totaled (the driver was not seriously hurt thankfully)...our car was towed away & we rented a car for a few weeks while we looked for a new/used car. John's team reviewed our towing receipt & car rental receipt & we were reimbursed promptly while our totaled lease car was paid off allowing us to find another vehicle. She made some accusations that were out of line in a rather nasty tone which was simply unacceptable. I asked to speak with John and she said I would only be directed back to her. I was switching from my other insurance company Travelers about five years ago and had two insurance companies at the same time. During this time my car got broken into. My old insurance company Travelers who I was with for ten years and had no claims ended up increasing my rates to a significantly higher cost. The whole reason I was switching from them in the first place was because they cost more than State Farm. However after the break and State Farm offered me the same price they offered me before the break in. Travelers significantly raised my premium. I have to say every interaction I have had with an insurance company besides this state farm office was very negative. I will continue to do business with them. If I could zero stars I would! Steer clear of this office. These are the most incompetent group of people I have come across and has horrible customer service. I have been with Statefarm for many years and the agent I had before (who was absolutely amazing) moved pretty far so I decided to give John's office a try. Big mistake on my part! Premiums were always going up, but they were always trying to sell another policy to give a "discount", when billing questions arose nobody ever knew anything, and to get direct answers I had to call Statefarm customer support myself. Needless to say, I'm done with this office and the incompetent agents associated with it! read more
