Edison charged me $325 to fix my garage door to include a 10 pack of wheels that Edison stated multiple times were $150. He stated that I absolutely needed them to fix the door. I kept going back and forth with him that I didn't want to change them now. He just did not want to do the work without charging a much higher cost. I attempted to work with him on a price but they communicated to me that they were going to lose money if they gave me a cheaper price. Shortly after he left, I looked up what the cost of those wheels were. I looked at Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon and many more. That same 10 pack of wheels were costing between $20 and $30 depending on the quality. So at $325 with 1 hour worth of work, he made out with $300 clean. Something in how he was talking to me, I knew that something didn't seem right given the workload. Its my fault for not keeping him honest but one thing that I do not tolerate is a liar that tries to take advantage of others. He made his money and I can't change that. What I can change is the reputation of this company to ensure that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I trusted them and they took advantage of me. This is just a bad business that is looking for the next sucker to take advantage of. Please learn from my mistakes.

After some internet research, I called AGDS and spoke to Mike, who I later found out is the owner. He and Priscilla were able to drive to our home a few hours later. Mike quickly identified that one of the torsion springs was sprung and the bar connected to the door and chain was pulling away from the door. This was in addition to the needed roller replacement. Mike was upfront about pricing and what was most needed and what could possibly wait. With the helpful info, I was able to easily make a decision for what work needed to be done. The repairs were completed within an hour and the garage door is working better than before. Mike and Priscilla are professional, courteous, and very skilled with garage door repair. While there is no expectation to call them again within 5 years - the warranty length - I would not hesitate to call them again. (For the record, I went with Mike's recommendations.)
