Parry's Garage Doors and Openers originally installed the system in 1991, so I called them for service--half expecting it could mean needing a replacement after 34 yrs! Technician arrived on time, checked it out, and phoned in to speak with one of the senior techs with the company since the younger service man hadn't even been born when my Genie opener had been originally installed at my location. Turned out one of the connector bolts had corroded a bit and just needed to be cleaned off. He did that and put a fresh coat of lubricant on the track, and it's purring like a kitten! Unfortunately, even the Genie brand no longer makes their garage door openers to last like they used to, but should my unit need a refresh sometime in the future, I won't hesitate to call Parry's again for service.
