He checked it out-found four splices. Said it would take same time to retire as to splice. So we choose retire. He found two other bad spots in wiring so good decision! Recently I purchased a home in Lake Wildwood. The garage door opener was spotty. Sometimes having to press the button up to 10 times. Called home warranty but because it was not 100% broken and happened to work only after one or two presses if the button they would not fix. Called Garage Door Xpress, Sam. He came out on a Saturday for me. What he explained was that the opener was over worked because the springs had been replaced previously with undersized springs. This made sense to e as I could tell that the door was not properly balanced. He replaced my springs, new opener. Set up my car homelink button. I now have a perfectly quiet smooth working opener with an outside keypad to boot. All the work is perfect, no issues. He was extremely thorough in showing me the new system. read more

I called GDX to come and adjust my garage door and provide new clickers (which were lost after we rented our house years ago). Sam responded immediately... He came out the next day and reviewed my system. It's 12 years old and has issues, but he and his assistant realigned the light system, oiled all the rollers, etc. Unfortunately my system was too old for the new clicker technology (and something inside the old LiftMaster box was malfunctioning) so he had to rig a separate, small exterior box that solved the whole problem. He also had some older clickers in his truck and got EVERYTHING working perfectly again... Good guy. Fair and honest. Very reasonable cost... Don't mess around --- call Sam at GDX.
