I have been using Gappys very happily for my cuts. However under the new recent ownership of Aaron and Elena I cant give enough accolades to this new duo who have upgraded the shop to a new level while keeping such reasonable prices. I started to do something I have never done before in getting a manicure and pedicure that elena does for men as well as the usual for women. I walk 5 miles a day so included is callouses removal etc I've recommended friends and family who have thanked me. They color and cut women's hair too . Theres an abundance of barber shop but this is one you must try on 3493 Hempstead turnpike in Levittown. Go4it. Best to all and congrats to the Knicks on their historic NBA championship after 53 years. Finally happy Fathers day in advance and get groomed for your family gathering on the 21st at Gappys. Tell Aaron and Elena that Alex sent you. Be well. read more

Excellent guys, clean place, great pricing, great fades and haircuts. Plus short waits!

Best prices. Best cuts. Best people. Gappy's is the best!!!! Very chill environment!

I had such a great experience at Gappy's barbershop last week. The place was very cozy and clean. Loved my wash, haircut, blowout, eyebrows and manicure. Yelena did an amazing job for making me pretty. She truly has a passion and talent for what she does. As soon as I walked in, I felt positive energy and great vibes. I walked out feeling like a whole new person, this confidence boost is dangerous lol. I will never look another way for my hair, they are the best of the best read more

"Best $15 haircut in town! The service is amazing--friendly, fast, and super professional. I always leave looking sharp and feeling great. Highly recommend this barbershop to anyone!" read more

What is wrong with them? I came here and they cut my ear and didn't even care. They didn't say sorry at all. The place was pretty dirty. Smelled pretty weird. Don't recommend this place. read more

Closed. Just a sign, written in pencil, on the window saying "we'll be closed tomorrow in observance of the holiday". Like all of us drove by yesterday to know if they'll be open today. But meanwhile all the lights are on so I should waste my time coming here. Either way, it was a last resort to come here again; they are like a car wash operation for haircuts; like 12 chairs no waiting. Who knows why they are even closed. I'm aware that many barbers in this area are Russian Jewish people. I myself happen to be Jewish as well. But surely there are many who cut hair in this establishment who are not Jewish and would like to work on a Wednesday in which many people are off from work. Okay, off my soap box. Yikes Alex... nice guy but he turned me off to this place. One side of my head is shorter than the other side. Didn't even trim the top. I look horrible I can't wait until it grows out. Until then wearing a hat. read more

Plenty of barbers to choose from - the catch is, most are old and are average. it's usually a hit or miss. It took me at least 3-4 barbers to my preference and liking. Regular haircuts are $15 is the reason I keep coming back. Everyone is friendly and accommodating, which is another reason I keep bringing back my boys to get their "ears lowered." They also have a female barber which my daughter prefers instead of going to a salon. Coming to this place is like walking into the old barbers shops back in the 90's and the vibe is always positive and cool. This place is family friendly - they are good with the kids, and also plenty of parking. read more

I asked for a trim, Alex gave me a 1 on the sides and nothing on the top. This was Christmas time, so you can guess how great I felt when I had to take pictures like that. read more

A quality haircut at a good price without waiting three hours or worried about making an appointment. Large local barbershop with plenty of barbers on standby. Nothing fancy so if you're looking for a pseudo-Brooklyn trendy place this is not your cup of tea. But if you want a solid cut with a friendly, welcoming staff then come on in. read more

ALEX shaved my head for an unasked uneven Mohawk... after asking for a hide fade. Now I look like a rooster. read more

Mixed experiences at Gappys Barber Shop in Levittown NY. Cost efficient for a hair cut and shave. Depends who you get and how they are feeling that day. Alex has done a clean cut and shave ,this last visit left husbands skin all red with with what looked like a few nicks on the neck, either cuts or pinched from an electric raider. It's in a shopping center with adequate parking, places to grab a snack near by and has been there a long time. read more

I always go on the weekends. I either see Lana or Mike two of my favorite barbers never have to wait too long in and out. Staff is very nice. read more

There are lots of barbers and they are responsive to requests when working with my sons. Always a good experience.

Terrible place. My wife bought my 3 boys here. One of my sons the barber messed up and cut a huge line in the top of his head. The back of my other sons neck line is on an angle and my oldest has various hair lengths throughout his head making his hair unever. read more

Gappy's Barber Shop - Top of my son's head - Barbers Near Me - Levittown, New York

Worst place ever Alex cut my sons hair he did a horrible job cut it way to short when my son asked for it specifically not to be short

Let me start by saying, how disgusted I am at this place. I took my three year old son here: THREE YEARS OLD, and he is scared of the buzzer. The entire time he screamed and went it came to the scissors he moves a little bit he will stop. Well they refused to do the scissors, not only that? They didn't even finish his hair cut and charged me FULL price for one. How dare they. The manager here spoke to me like I was a horrible person and the kid who did the hair cut made me feel like I was dumb for not understanding. I'm so disappointed and disgusted at this place, they should be ashamed of themselves. read more

Plain and simple... just don't do it. As nice as everyone is, that's about it. 0 skill involved. Unless you're getting a simple buzz cut that doesn't require any kind of guard sizes, because anything else is too complicated, spend the extra bucks and get your hair cut by an actual barber read more

The eastern European barbers in this establishment always give haircuts the way they want without listening to the customer. They also use hair thinning scissors, which I am told, can mess up one's hair for months-- if not years. I always tell them I want to grow my hair long in the back, but they always scalp it anyway. I have even told them not to touch the back of my hair, as "I want to grow a ponytail," but they still buzz it back to my cerebellum (I believe it is known as a taper fade cut - see photo). They have improved in their use of barbercide since Covid. Prior, the eastern European employees never seemed to dip their scissors into the germ killer. Hopefully I never picked-up another customer's head maladies. The establishment seems to cater primarily to male senior citizens (i.e. old codgers) and the younger local lumpen residents that prefer buzz cuts. I prefer the American female barbers (Gail and Donna). They follow directives, unlike the others, and they usually give decent cuts. read more

See my buddy George, I never got a bad cut from him. I have been coming her for over 14 years!!

Big sign in the window Regular Senior Haircuts $5.00 after every haircut I was charged more, for different reasons, my hair was too long, I have to much hair, the latest one was I have to charge you more because she used a scissor on your head. They should change the big sign in the window to Haircuts $5.00 For Bald Seniors ONLY!!! If you want a good haircut find another shop! read more

Not one of the worst shops in Levittown,Gappy's is the worst barbershop in the entire NewYork,First let's start with the cleanliness of the place,Extremely dirty a bum would feel at home here,Hair cuts are $5.00 here for a reason,You want cheap and bad cuts go to gappy's you want quality almost every other shop is bound to have at least one guy who can cut hair,With gappys there all trash,Owner even offered me a free cut after the disaster that occurred,Me being smart turned it down ASAP,First time and last time going. read more

I went to gappys for the first time today and was very pleased. There were a ton of barbers and even though there were a lot of people waiting for a cut it was less than a 5 minute wait. My barber was Boris and he cut my hair exactly how i wanted. This pricing of this place is incredible. They feature comparable prices to the 90's with a $10 haircut. Unfortunately the decor is probably also from the 90's and quite run down. I have no problem with this as you get a quality cut for not a lot of money. Other things to note as a bonus for every 10 cuts, you also get one free..outstanding. Also this place is cash only but if you forget they have an ATM on premisis. read more
