I probably spent a total of 3 minutes in there before I walked out. I walked in and was immediately pleasantly overwhelmed by the organized chaos that is their inventory. I immediately made eye contact with the woman working the register and helping a customer but did not receive a hello or any greeting at all. I walked around the first few feet of the store feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start. I looked over again at the woman working to see if she was still helping a customer so I could ask for a bit of guidance based on what I was looking for. Well I turned and she was already looking at me! No smile no friendly greeting, nothing. It was then that I did not get a great feeling about her or the store so I decided to leave. There are a million cute little stores and I was not going to spend my money somewhere where I was watched instead of helped or didn't even receive a simple greeting. I did preface in the beginning that I have heard so many nice things about this store, so my hope is that, that was just my experience. So if you have been wanting to check this store out, you still should.

The shop was here for decades, with the most beautiful selection of the finest European children's and infants' clothing, shoes, accessories, stuffed toys, and classic children's books. I shopped here as a child and throughout my children's baby and teen years. The proprietor, Linda Keunkler Ward, sadly, passed away in 2018, it was a very special, tasteful, and lovely shop. My children and I have memories of the shop's pet gerbil, Christmas photo cards pinned to the wall, and a little dish of gum drops at the checkout counter.
