Another great thing about Lb is: if you need help putting an outfit together, just ask and a stylist will help you, they also do bra fittings. I was wearing the wrong size for so long until I got fitted here. Now the twins get the attention they deserve ;) Yet another perk, if you use your Lb card, you get points toward coupons and periodically they send you a check that you can use in conjunction with a coupon for added savings. After a different experience not far away, it was a pleasant surprise to find things not only in organized-by-size state, but numerous real deals. There's a variety here that's good for younger to older. There are items that are insanely priced, but many realistic prices and a few good deals. Happy to get some shoes and apparel. DSW Polaris didn't have a single pair of girls size 4 shoes on the rack. Not a single pair. That was bad enough then we used the restroom. DON'T use the ladies room w/o bio hazard coveralls and booties on. It hasn't seen a cleaning in at least 6 months. I'm talking walls, floors, toilet bases, under the sinks etc. It's just disgusting. If the store manager can find a vacuum cleaner for the back hallway carpet it would be helpful. I'm sure I won't be going back. I'll switch to the Easton location.

The store is located just off of High on First Avenue, and the only reason we spotted the tiny clothing store was because of a sign that read "Designer Clothes at 'Knock Off' Prices". There was one more thing that caught my eye on that sign, the part that read sizes went up to 20! I'm not a fashionista by any stretch of the imagination, but maybe it's because as a plus size girl I find it really difficult to find name brand clothing in my size that doesn't look like a floral print potato sack. Savvy on a Shoestring is small, with a couple hand fulls of outfits in each size category. Some of the brands I hadn't heard of, but I did notice a fantastic Vera Wang dress on display. Clothing ranges from business, active wear, evening dresses and accessories in the form of handbags and sunglasses. The lady behind the counter was pleasant to talk to and I told her how happy I was that they carried plus size clothing. She said both her and the owner were larger women, so they tried to look after us curvy girls. However, due to a lack of interest (or perhaps a lack of knowledge) from their customer base, they were going to start scaling back their plus size line. Don't let this happen, Columbus! I just found this great treasure of a store!

The store is also tucked on a side street behind Grandview Mercantile. These factors add up to one thing: me forgetting that Savvy exists. But one of my friends went in recently, and she couldn't stop raving about the place. She put three or four things on hold, all major name designers like Versace, Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana...Everything is offered at a huge discount. You can find a $400 pair of jeans selling for $40. I don't know how they do it, but they do. So, this past Holiday Hop, I made it a point to stop in. The store was small but full of clothing neatly arranged on racks by size. Personally, I couldn't find anything that was my style. Everything looked like it was selling to an older crowd. They had a bit of everything from sweat suit jumpers to skirts, blouses, and rain boots. There weren't many duplicate pieces. The workers were nice and had York Peppermint Patties for us. If you're a label whore, give Savvy a peek. It's oddly affordable in a neighborhood full of $200 sweaters.

I found a great pair of jeans for only $5 but they were 2 sizes smaller than my waist now..so it was a no go but the price was to die for. The quality of clothing isn't cheap which is a plus because sometimes when you don't pay a lot in price, the clothing material may be cheap and you wash it two or three times and it's done but not so. They have a sale of clearance where you can really rack up on shirts, jeans and even shoes and jewelry as well. The staff there is nice and always inform you of any sales that may be going on in the near future. Thanks to great clothing and customer service at this store. That's what keeps me coming back.
