We trusted Gannon with educating our daughter and have come to find out they really don't care about their students. 1. The engineering dept only offers courses either in the fall or spring, twice now she has had 2 required courses scheduled at the same time, Gannon was completely unwilling to work with her and told her she would have to move one off till the next year, which means she can't take any courses that have this course as a prerequisite. This also means adding a 5th year or beyond because they are not offering courses enough and my daughter needing to take unnecessary classes to stay full time because she can't get the ones she needs. They also won't approve summer courses at other schools. 2. The Athletic dept administration is horrible! They drive out good coaches and keep ones that are a mess. They support hazing and bullying and if a student says they are going to report it they are kicked off the team. read more

Hard to really review too much as I was here during the summer and everything was closed but the campus was super pretty and everything seemed to be labeled pretty well. They've got a nice sized campus spaced out around downtown Erie. There are lots of places to get food or drinks nearby making a sort of mini college town effect. Next time I'm in Erie during the school year I'll have to check out some of the college and see it's buildings and inner beauty. read more

I stopped by Gannon to sit in on several employment interviews and was rather pleased with what I heard and saw. Gannon isa Catholic University located in the heart of Erie, Pennsylvania and though Erie is the third largest city in Pennsylvania, it tends to be somewhat of a struggling rustbelt city having limited career opportunities, as are most cities bordering upon any one of the Great Lakes. However, in spite of its rather adverse location, both the college and the students seem to have risen above their otherwise gloomy surroundings. Indeed I found the faculty, their credentials and the student accomplishments to be far better than what I had expected. Every student I spoke with seemed not only to be very well mannered but more important, as well versed in their chosen academic field as I've ever found at any college regardless of the fact that most have generally held a higher ranking. In part, I think this may be because of the fact that Gannon seems to have been able to attract and keep the best and the brightest, though those may be few in number, of its regional area. read more

From our very first visit back in early 2018, Gannon has rolled out the red carpet every time...and there have been many visits due to all the scholarship contests they offer followed by a delicious chef prepared luncheon for the contestants and their families. Tom Camillo, Director of Undergraduate Admissions is at your disposal with any questions you may have, whether financial aid to dorm mattress size, you can't stump him. Miles Vida, Associate Director Office of Admissions and #1 Volleyball Coach has been with us every step of the way. Gannon is not some big school that you might fall thru the cracks if you don't get involved. Professors like Dr. Lin Zhao, Ph.D Electrical & Computer Engineering won't let that happen because they take a personal interest in all their students. Gannon is like one big diverse family and you are a part of that family, and they know you by name. They honestly care about every person that walks thru their door. My husband and I took our daughter for a tour at Gannon University, and we were not impressed by any means. We scheduled our tour beforehand, but our guide was nearly an hour late. She was incredibly rude to us throughout the entirety of the tour. She then abruptly ended the tour near the recreational center, and being from Ohio, we were unsure on how to return to our vehicle. When we asked the guide for directions, she ignored us and walked away. We will definitely make sure our daughter does not attend this university. read more
