That being said, it did have some issues (as I am sure all universities/ colleges do). Being from South Central PA (think Harrisburg area) there was definitely some adjustment to be sure. I did struggle though and graduated. I played (practiced mainly) Football for a season before bowing out gracefully at the end of my Freshman year ( collegiate football was not in the cards for me). My primary focus was to graduate and possibly work in the teaching or work in some aspect of education/ youth support. Fast forward roughly 30 years later and I have been working to support youth as a Program Specialist for a County Dependent Shelter and Youth Detention Center for almost 17 years. I then moved into academic youth sport for the last 4 to 5 years. So Sadie it to say, I believe I am making some use of my college education to help others. All in all pretty good outcome overall!
